> 3 dayused this on a 4.6 2valve. truck had spit out a plug and the owner had installed a helicoil insert with the swag in top, knurled seat. that failed and spit both out busting another coil mount. didnt use an air ratchet on this, its aluminum, do it by hand so you can feel the threads being cut, my opinion there... the drill and tap guide makes this a breeze to line up properly. jb weld the threads but only threads, clean off excess before inserting. once inserted and tightened, fire her up and warm up then shut down. let cure overnight. re-torque if needed. the heat cycle helps it set right and tight. ta-da, you just fixed a failed insert.

> 3 dayThis tool is well worth the money that you would spend for it. I was able to repair the blown out sparkplug on my 98 Ford Expedition with out the worry of misalignment. This was done on the #7 cylinder, which is under the heater hoses, and after5 pulling the hoses out of the way I could access it easly. The only problem was that I needed to file the alignment sleeve to fit the hole in the head that is used for the guide. This caused me to take about 2 hours longer than if it was sized to fit before. If it ends up being to loose in another hole I can always shim it to fit. I have had the truck running for a month now and believe that this is a good long term fix. I did take one star away because of the extra work needed to make the tool not seeze up in the hole.

Greater than one weekOver all easy to use however the tap did not have enough of a taper so it would not start. If I did not have a customer that needed his van I would have sent it back for that price one would expect it to be right. So instead I had no other choice but to add more of a taper on the grinding wheel. Worked perfect after that
