> 3 dayFor the price this prime lens is absolutely awesome. It is fast, gets a great bokeh, and works well even on a crop sensor.

17-04-2025I am a beginner photographer myself and recommend this lens to anyone getting into photography. This is a game changer of a lens. Having that much aperture opens up an entire world o possibilities and because is a static lens, you are forced to be creative with your angles and positioning. Let alone the affordability of this lens, I would recommend this to anyone interested in buying their first lens.

> 3 dayTakes beautiful pictures. Excellent value as well. It is especially helpful for busy or convoluted backgrounds because you can get a nice clear close up and just about any background will look beautiful. If you want to really up your game on close up portrait photos on a budget, this is the best lens.

> 3 dayGreat lens and low price. Its quality/aperture is amazing. A must have for any photographer! Only thing I dislike is the manual focus ring noise. Its loud and vibrates in my hand.

Greater than one weekLet me get this out first: I am NOT a photographer. Nor do I have delusions of being a professional photographer. However, I do take quite a few pictures of items to sell online and my wife takes about 987923857 pictures a day of our toddler. Ive swapped this lens onto our fairly basic Canon body and so far Ive been very very impressed over the stock 18-55 EFS with image stabilization. My pictures of things I sell are typically taken with a tripod and I turn off IS anyways. What I have noticed is clearer photos over the stock lens with great definition. As everyone else has stated, a great gateway lens into the better quality glass.
