Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens

being more of a zoom lens guy i decided to get my hands on this lens as the price is just to good not to.

My old loyal 50 mm finally broke after many years of service, and I replaced it with this surprisingly updated version. Best lens ever became even better! Thank you, Canon and Amazon.

I shoot videos with a t6i and the quality is pretty fantastic. Yes the kit lens can do 50mm but the f1.8 really lets in a decent amount of light and gives you that nice “bokeh” you’re always hearing about. It takes nice pictures as well but really it’s all about video for me. I do wish it had image stabilization though as I can’t do run and gun filmmaking with it. I have done slider shots and mounted tripod shots of moving subjects and the focus stayed nice and sharp (I only use manual so I have no idea how the autofocus is on this one) if you needed it for video keep it on the Tripp’s.
