Good lens for portraits

I traveled to Hawaii recently and didn’t want to worry about my gear. I decided to bring my Canon SL1, an ultrawide, and this lens. It performed beautifully! I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. :)

I have rented this lens before and I just knew I needed it for myself. It takes such clear images, and its just a great lens for portraits.

Great Lens, much better built than the non STM

My first prime and its amazing. I just bought for low light video shots but its also amazing for photos. Images and videos are so clear. Only down point its a little bit low view angle because of crop sensor camera. It must be amazing with 28 or 35 mm 1.8 and also 1.4.
