> 3 dayIt was a difficult choice between this and the 85mm. I was afraid Id not have enough room for indoor shots in smaller places to back away from the subject if I went with the 85, so I opted for this. But now that I have it, I find that I sometimes have to get a little closer to the subject than Id prefer. Maybe I need both. The lens provides beautiful background blur. Using with a Rebel T1i

> 3 daySuper sharp, great in low light and the stm motor is very quiet, love it, my first prime lens. Decided to only use prime lenses after this

> 3 dayA must have for photography, and at the price, a great deal. A good prime lens with great a large aperture. Not my go to, every day lens, but still fantastic for portraits or even landscapes, although not a wide angle. I would buy this again and recommend to any photographer.

> 3 dayIm no professional photographer. I use a Canon T5i to take pictures of my wife and kid and family gatherings mainly. I purchased this from all the overwhelming positive reviews and Im not disappointed at all. It can create a beautiful bokeh effect. Being a prime lens and having the ability to use f/1.8, allows this lens to take some pretty good low light pictures as well. Its got a nice weight to it and doesnt make it feel cheap. Its pretty much always on our camera now.
