Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens

If youre looking for a new lens but not ready to make a huge investment this is a great start. I understand why its referred to as the nifty fifty and I tend to shoot more with it now than any of my other lenses plus its light and less cumbersome but the quality of the colors and crispness is amazing.

If you are curious as to if this lens is worth the upgrade from the older 50mm 1.8, the answer is YES. There is a noticeable difference in image quality and overall build. Not to mention the STM makes shooting with auto focus actually enjoyable.

I have been wanting a lens with a low f stop. This is the perfect lens for that. It works wonderfully with my canon eos rebel T7.

Using this lens on an old 5D Classic and the focus is spot on 95% of the time even at f1.8. the lens is adequately sharp and is leaps and bounds better than the old 50mm 1.8 II in terms of build and focusing. I even like this lens better than the 50mm 1.4 due to the focus accuracy of this lens. this is the best $125 you can spend if you are a Canon shooter and everyone should own one. Hats off to Canon for keeping the pricing where they did. this lens is easily a bargain at twice the price.

This lens legit does it all, just buy it. You cannot go wrong with this lens. Pictures and video comes out 10/10.
