I’m so in love with these pencils.. They’re soft & creamy, blend easily.. They were on my wish list for so long. Now that I have them, I’m surely not disappointed.. I HIGHLY recommend these pencils to those who can afford them!!!

I have been wanting these pencils for a couple of years now and when I finally was able to get them they are terrible! They are hard and very scratchy no matter how I sharpen them or how I try to use them. I tried several pencils and they were all the same way. :( :( Im thinking maybe they are fakes or maybe just a bad batch. I am exchanging these, hopefully I receive I better set.

Wow! These are the most luxurious colored pencils I have ever used. They are buttery soft and creamy and glide on paper without any effort. I actually bought them because I was tired of my Prismacolors constantly breaking in the sharpener and I was using a manual good quality one. Prismacolors are more affordable and have bigger color selection, however, a large part of pencil is wasted, so in the end they are not a good deal. And the wax bloom with Prismacolors was so annoying. I have not had Luminance pencils long enough to vouch for no breakage, but so far so good. And another reason to buy these pencils is their high lightfastness. I spend a lot of time on my drawings, so I want them to last for many years without losing color. I would have bought this set just for this reason alone. Yes, Luminance pencils are quite pricy but they are worth the high cost. After trying them I will never go back to Prismacolors again.

I am a colored pencil junkie lol!!! I am fairly new to them and only started using them in my portraits about 2 to 3 years ago. When I first started with them I was terrible I had to teach myself to use them so if your struggling with this be patient dont give up and practice practice practice!!! I have several brands Prismacolors ,faber-castell and these I love them all but with that said they preform differently. These are pricey so I wouldnt recommend them to start out with unless you are experienced and can afford them. They perform smoothly and with a light touch you can add and blend many many layers without destroying your paper or having the wax bloom effect unlike with prismacolors The colors are richer and brighter a must have for any color pencil artist or enthusiast. These colored pencils are by far the best colored pencils I have ever used, and Ive used a lot. Ive ordered many different types and brands from Amazon and Ive purchased many different types from stores, but these far exceed any of those. In there durability, their vibrance, their smoothness, their pigmentation, the way they blend, the way they feel and even the way they hold up when sharpening (always have had problems with that with 99% of the pencils Ive had minus a very select few - these and prism colored pencils, thats it), plus the white colored pencil actually works like its supposed to when using it to highlight and blend it is just amazing, and lastly even the packaging is just superb. Each pencil is tucked in its individual little slot of protection in this box. I highly recommend if you are a serious about your colored pencils, they are so worth it even though the price is quite high, but you pay for what you get truly. Extremely high quality. They are incredible. In fact I want to buy another set, which I will be doing very soon but Im going to get the larger set. Definitely recommend.
