> 3 dayI recorded 6 vhs tapes and all seemed well but one of them was slightly to big. Also the picture while recording was tiny so I did a test to make sure my recording wasnt tiny and it looked good. I tried to edit the slightly over sized video to trim it to fit onto DVD, the built in editor was horrible and could not figure it out. So I tried to record again but now had no picture so tried on a different lap top no go so 3rd lap top and it worked well but video still to big so looking for another editor. Id look for something more expensive in future as this has turned into far more work and anger than I expected. But I will get something recorded out of it and nice to have digital copies as well

> 3 dayThe VHS2DVD Wizard has worked fine for me. Theres been a few glitches. I tried to use the option of going from VHS straight to DVD and that didnt work, but I wasnt using a newer, faster computer. It went through the whole tape and didnt tell me. I wasted time and a DVD. It took a few attempts to get it to load and work correctly, but I was able to load and get it working the second time. The video quality is slightly less, or it could be from old VHS tapes. On fast movements in the videos, for a split second, I see lines at the location of the movement. It will pull copyrighted materials and make them digital. I am backing up old production movies that will go bad over time on VHS, so that grandkids can watch the animated films.

> 3 dayI used this product to transfer 24 VHS family tapes to DVD. The hardware and software worked really well and I found the editing functionality to be very effective and easy to use. The quality of my DVDs seems to match the quality of my tape recordings; good sound and visuals. I did find that it worked best if I kept my file downloads to something less than 60 minutes as I ran into some editing issues when I exceeded 60 minutes (could be a limitation of my system and not this product). It also seemed to work best for me if I edited from the beginning of the file and worked to the end. I would definately buy this product again and will recommend it to others.

Greater than one weekIt took me almost an entire weekend to figure it out, but once I did, it was great. I must say the directions booklet that came with this product lacked a few details as far as step by step instructions, especially for someone like me who is not computer savvy. After finally going on YouTube, a few details were cleared up for me and I was able to record all of my old family VHS tapes to DVD. Very relieved now that I no longer have to worry about these tapes deteriorating over time. It was worth the time and the $30 spent on the product.

> 3 dayIt did not come with AV cables (VERY necessary). The tech is too old to interlace to get rid of noise. Im still unable to find an adequate hack to use this thing after 2 years. I kept on them and Amazon until they refunded me the purchase price minus a restocking fee. There really should be a category to rate whether or not it even works as designed. **Edit** Even though it has been two years since I bought this, the seller refunded the price minus a restocking fee.

> 3 dayI was able to accomplish what I needed to. Its not a bad device, but the software is a little dated. With the pricing of the device Im betting there isnt a lot of development (which is completely understandable). I like the size of the device in contrast to other units Ive held/used in the past--its very compact.

> 3 dayWorks great as intended. I used it to convert 30 year old VHS tapes to digital format. The video capture works well and the DVD creating software is very straight forward. The whole process can be accomplished with a few clicks. However, it is a low key program. You would be better off using a more robust software such as Roxio DVD Creator.

Greater than one weekWorked great for VHS tapes/Player, but it was unable to convert Sony Hi 8 video. Good Tech support as they admitted that their video chip could not convert the Sony signal correctly. If your just doing VHS this is a great tool. (note: Your computer needs to be newer or editing will be a chore)

> 3 dayThis product works great! Out of the box I read the easy instructions and was able to transfer videos effortlessly. So far I have transferred about twenty VHS tapes to digital files. There are some color changes and color bleeding but this may be due to the 30+ year old video tapes or maybe the VCR that I am using. Are they the quality of new digital movies? Absolutely not. But the movies are viewable and I have saved quite a bit of money doing it myself and not sending the tapes out to be converted.
