AS SOON AS I RECEIVED IT I HOOKED IT UP TO A CAT5E COMING FROM MY OLDER DLINK DGL4300 G GAME ROUTER 2 FLOORS DOWN . THEN USING ANOTHER CAT5E TO MY FINAL COMPUTER IN ADDITION TO A ROKU DEVICE FOR NETFLIX TV! IVE EXPLORED USING 2 ROUTERS WITH 2ND AS SLAVE BUT THIS SWITCH WORKS EXCELLENTLY!

I replaced a Hawking Technology switch with this one. It works great wall-mounted, and comes with the screws to do so. The switch never runs hot and I have not had to restart it for any reason.

Finally got faster than 100 MB Internet and thus needed a Gig switch. This is a great, compact and affordable switch for my home. I like it a lot, does exactly what I need.

As these have become a very common device, one expects it to work out of the box, and this one did. Inexpensive and painless.

I had an older model D-Link 5 port 10/100 switch that worked great until recently. I had a Ooma phone system, Wii, PS3, a Panasonic Blu-Ray player and Roku box connected to it. For some reason, when I went to PS3 and streamed content, it would knock the Ooma offline. Id have to unplug/re-plug in the D-Link switch to reset it, then itd work fine. I decided to try this 8 port gigabit switch, hoping it transfer the data better and Id have extra ports for an Xbox and whatever later. I also removed the Roku because I can get the content off the PS3 as well. So far its worked flawlessly. I just plugged it in and hooked up the Ethernet cables and have had no issues. Its slick looking and a great price to boot.

I bought this 8-port switch to put all my machines on the same net cleaning up my network cabling etc. It works fine both between units on the net and the wireless router that I have connected upstream. I am very pleased with it and it saved me money. I would definitely recomend it.

does the job

Ive purchased 2 of these and have just ordered another. The first two were for computers that are sharing the internet. The 3rd switch will be used in my entertainment system.
