When the switch stays powered up it works great. However, the mini USB connector that is used for the power connection is terrible. It makes a weak connection at best and constantly requires re-seating. To make matters worse the switch is mounted in a data enclosure where it isnt moved making the problem even more annoying.

Right out of the box to quick plugin and operation. Supports switching both my sattelite TV receiver and a Blu Ray Player with Netflix and Vudu for movies. Nice product.

This gigabit switch does exactly what I need it to do. With the main router in the basement, it sends out internet connection to 3 switches throughout the house (one of these 5 port switches, and 2 D-Link 8-Port Gigabit Switch (DGS-1008G)). I originally had two of these switches, but one fried after a power outage. The other three are holding up strong, networking on entertainment centers (one in the living room & one in the loft), and our printer/wireless AP center.

I recently purchased this switch. I have 3 PCs at my desk and the switch allows me to use my production PC, development PC and testplatform PC through one connection. The speed is great and it was a simple plug and play to get it working. I would highly recommend this as the GB speed and price are great!

This is a consumer grade switch that works as expected and doesnt cause slow-downs on your network. Im used to using high end professional networking gear in my office environment made by D-Link and have become a fan of their reliability. I decided to try their consumer grade switch in a home environment and couldnt be happier. Plug it in and go, no fuss and no mess, it just works.

A good quality switch for a good price. I have used D-Link switches for years and currently have 4 of these switches in various locations throughout the house. They have always worked good and I havent had any issues with any of them.

I have a bunch of peripherals and I like to hardwire my desktop computers, so I needed to add more ports to my Time Capsule. It had to be fast as I stream video, so I choose this D-Link. It was a snap to setup and it works great. I mounted it on the wall, and just plugged everything in and it worked, no fuss or muss. I have a 4th generation Apple Time Capsule, Denon 3312 AirPlay Receiver, Okidata C5200N network laser printer, 2nd Generation Apple Airport Express, & 2 iMacs. ***Highly Recommended***
