> 24 hourTo start off, I work in an engineering department at a local Las Vegas casino. I’ve personally wall mounted hundreds of TVs as a part of a hotel room upgrade. But when it came to personal domestic use, I’m was forced to go with different public vendors. So, like you, I purchased this highly rated brand’s TV mount. I have an LG 77” C2 OLED TV. Guess what, it took forever to level the TV and you know why? Well, because as soon as you extended the TV’s wall mount all the way away from the wall after the TV had already been mounted and leveled, it became out of alignment and extremely out of level. Thankgully, I had someone to help me to level it. Basically, it involved a bunch if guess work. We had to compromise for the level of tilt/pull out distance in order for the TV to be leveled with the desired distance it was pulled away from the wall. In other words, if the TV was pulled away from the wall even by half an inch too far (where it was not centered with the wall at the measured middle point), it would no longer be leveled and would become off balance = visibly leaning to one side. This mount’s leveling mechanism is clearly flawed, which no amount of apologetic customer service could resolve besides providing a replacement, which at this point I would not perform. It takes a significant work to unmount the TV, unscrew the old mount, screw a replacement mount into the wall and mount the TV back on it than is worth it . Basically, I’m stuck with a TV that cannot be tilted/moved because by doing so it would make the TV become not leveled. What I’m trying to say is that I threw my money into the wind, whereas I could have purchased a reliable TV mount that did not experience this faulty leveling mechanism problem. Buy at your own risk. You’ve been warned.

> 24 hourI would not advise this, but I was able to mount my 75” TV entirely single handedly with this mount. I had the TV on its stand on a console table in front of the mount, almost in position. I installed the arm on the wall and the bracket to the TV. I pushed the TV back and lifted it one side and then the other onto the mount, and tightened it down. I seriously advise you have help, because there were a couple moments where I almost regretted my stubborn commitment to doing it on my own. But the fact that I could manage it at all is a testament to the sturdiness and simplicity of the mount. For a larger TV like that, getting it to lock in at the preferred tilt and getting it properly leveled takes some real force on the bolts to get them tight enough to lock the tilt, and a bit of trial and error. But once you’ve got it, this thing is solid, and pivots left and right and away from the wall smoothly and easily. After you’ve set the initial tilt (how far it is angled down toward the viewer), it does *not* tilt without loosening some bolts and considerable effort, so it you intend to adjust the tilt regularly, thus won’t work for you. But if you want to set the tilt once and leave it, this is great. Overall I was impressed with the sturdiness and the clarity of the instructions. In a world of cheap products, good ones like this stand out.

> 24 hourAs for this mount, I love it, as it most certainly does work with the 24” spaced studs in my basement. I have a Samsung 46”, Samsung 65” and an LG 55” installed via this mount and have no complaints but for the lack of mounting hardware noted below. You can have your own materials for spacers and washers but do make sure you have them on hand prior to the task at hand. The first caveat to purchasing and installing any of these wall mounts is that NONE of them come with enough screws and spacers for every make and model of TV. I suppose thats nearly impossible, but youd think they would at least account for the more popular brands of TV. I’ve got two Samsung TV’s and an LG myself, I had to jury rig them all. Some of the screws are too short of course, so that renders them useless for your installation. The screws that are long enough, are simply too long, and in most cases the spacers that accompany these kits NEVER work with your TV, so they too are useless with these longer screws. I’ve yet to use even a pair of the spacers that accompany any of these mounting kits. I’ve used this mounting kit and one other, so I’m no novice in the task. I’ve learned to have my own, make do, spacers and washers on hand in the form of 3/8” X 16 Hex nuts and 3/8” X close fender washers. The 3/8” hex nuts will serve as spacers (even if you have to double them) on your longer screws and the washers will serve as spacers for those damned near perfect screws that won’t quite tighten down and secure your mounts to the TV. The washers will also serve to provide you with a larger contact area against the back of the TV, so you don’t have to worry with the hex nuts cracking the plastic backing due to such small contact areas. I’m not sure why the industry doesn’t standardize these TVs so wall mounting them isn’t such a frustrating task. The only thing that’s standardized is the VESA measurements and that only applies to the spacing for the screw holes (200mm X 200mm, 400mm X 400mm, etc.) , it has nothing to do with assuring you can mount your TVs to these units via factory furnished materials. You will have screws of the correct diameter for your unit, but you probably won’t have screws of the proper length nor spacers that help in rectifying that.

> 24 hourWe have an 86-inch TV, and it works perfectly at all angles. For the price, this is a great deal!

> 24 hourI was somewhat concerned about mounting an 85 inch TV on a wall where I couldnt use a studfinder (wall is covered by barn wood). After doing some careful probing, I installed the wall bracket and, with some help, mounted the TV to the bracket. The included bolts were long enough to get a firm grip in the studs, even through the extra 1/4 barn wood. Instructions were perfectly clear and included bolts and spacers for a variety of different TVs. I like it so much I got another for a smaller TV.

> 24 hourLove how this mount worked. Installation was not too difficult and included the anchor bolts needed along with a template to drill holes. Bracket was just wide enough for the 24in centers to mount into studs. once mounted the tv movement is perfect. The scissor action of the mount lets you push it straight into the bracket. Plenty of room extended to allow for all the cabling hookup. Highly recommend this TV mount. confident it will hold the TV and have enough adjustment to get the view you need

> 24 hourVery well built and smooth operation with the TV mounted. One issue I had with my installation - I only had one 2x6 stud near the center where I wanted to mount the TV, and even that one did not line up with the mounting holes in the frame of the EchoGear mount. I solved this problem by using a piece of 19mm Baltic Birch plywood that spanned the wall where two studs were present, and cut out the section where the power port was placed on the wall. Then drilled and placed 6 T-nuts on the back of the board for mounting the EchoGear. I then used 5 lag screws to mount the board to the wall, with a recess in the plywood for a center lag screw. Result was both the TV mount and the plywood were flush to the wall, with room for the power and connecting cords to freely emerge. Worked out perfectly!
