This is a very good TV mount. I used it for a 65in LG OLED C1 TV which weights around 75lbs. I had already owned a different full motion mount for my prior TV but given the required placement of the mount on that TV (much lower), I was going to have to move the old one anyway. The specs on that one suggested that it maxed out on a 60inch TV. Im sure it wouldve worked but that other mount was somewhat tough to move when the TV was actually on it so I decided to get a new one. In comes the ECHOGEAR mount... Everything needed for mounting was included. Especially important are the lag bolts for the portion that mounts to the wall. I dont believe I received those with the prior mount so thats an extra cost (and trip) to factor in for other mounts. Also appreciated the template provided. Instructions were clear, well written and entertaining. I really dont know why that is so hard for many companies but they could take a cue from ECHOGEAR on how to write instructions. Overall, installing the mount was not difficult. The hardest part is just making sure you find studs in the wall and are relatively centered on them. And I guess holding the mount while installing the first couple of lag bolts. My installation has the TV located in a cutout over my fireplace -- i.e. a recessed nook. My TV is 57in wide, the cutout is about 59in wide so there isnt a lot of clearance on the sides. After mounting the brackets to the TV, I measured from the bracket hooks on the TV to the top and bottom of the TV to ensure I was placing it at the right height in the cutout. Marked the height in the nook, grabbed the template and marked where my lag bolts would go in. I pre-drilled the holes and then held up the mount while screwing in the lag bolts, making sure it was level along the way. After that, its just a matter of extending the mount, setting the TV brackets on the front top of the mount and securing the bottom. As another reviewer stated, its a good idea to tighten down the tilt mechanism prior to putting on the TV, it can always be adjusted later. Overall, this could probably be done in about 20 minutes but I probably took an hour just to measure multiple times and think thru what I was doing. As I said, I only had about an inch clearance on either side so I was worried that my slightly off-center studs were going to make it very difficult. Based on where the holes in the backplate are and where my studs were located, the mount was an inch closer on one side then the other, so I was still worried about being centered. Turns out, that was all for naught -- while its good to be as centered as possible, there is sufficient lateral movement in the mount to get the TV centered even if the mount isnt. You might be asking, why only 4 stars? Well, I have a couple of small gripes. Some may be fair, some less so: 1. This mount moves easily, even with a 75lb mounted. Much, much better then my last one. I wanted this feature but now that its mounted, Im not as convinced I do. I only need the movement when first mounting it to pull the TV out, connect everything and then push the TV back into the cutout. After that, Id prefer it didnt move again until I replace it. WIth this mount, if you touch the TV, it will move -- no real force needed. Given my minimal clearance on the sides and the fact that my TV is a thin piece of glass, I have minor concerns that Im going to bounce it into the walls when cleaning. Hard to blame the mount for being too fluid but its a thing. 2. The paper template is nice for marking your holes. My minor gripe there is that its hard to hold a piece of paper against a wall, put a level on it and mark the spots for you lag bolts at the same time. Very minor complaint and there may be some trick to this that Im missing but it would be lovely if some clever person came up with a solution to that -- like a thicker edge on the template. 3. Another minor complaint that may be more on LG then ECHOGEAR -- which screw should I use to mount the brackets to the TV? ECHOGEAR provides several different sizes with different lengths and widths. Ideally, you want to use the longest one that will fit in your TV. The problem is, that if you use one that is too long, you break your TV. If you use one too short, your TV may dismount prematurely. This is probably on the TV manufacturer to provide since Im sure it varies. But a note in the instructions would be nice on how best to determine this. I struggled with this longer then I should have. For me, I took a medium length M10 bolt, attempted to thread it slowly and gently into the TV to see if it would fit all the way. It did, so I went with that. Could I have used a longer one? Perhaps, but well never know. 4. The last gripe is cost. My previous mount was about $50. This one was closer to $120. They are both equally heavy duty and built very similarly. This one has much more fluid motion so its worth extra $$. But is it worth over double? Probably not. But given how much I spent on the TV, Im not going to lose sleep over the cost of the mount but I feel like it would be a better value around $80 and that would have warranted a 5th star from me. In summary, I listed gripes but the reality is that there are many more features of this mount that are good and its definitely something I would purchase again or recommend to a friend. However, I would also have them watch to see if they could get it a little cheaper than list price.

After careful leveling of the unit, the final installation is not level. My 55 TV is about 1/2 out of level.

Background information: My TV: VIZIO 65 Quantum P Series, 4K HDR: this TV weighs 54.3 pounds without the stand Mounted on: Wall Studs, in my family room This Mount is seriously incredible. Words of advice: Dont try to do this yourself. Its possible (theoretically) but this will go so much quicker if you have a second person. Just speaking in general: if youre hanging a large television on the wall, youll run into two issues doing it solo: 1) The mount is heavy, and you need to hold it up while you ratchet the screws into it 2) Your TV is probably wide and awkward to lift, even if you think its not THAT heavy. When youre finally to the point where you place the TV on the mount, its pretty essential to have two people to align the brackets on the top. Okay, that all being said - YOU GOT THIS! The instructions are amazing (and hilarious). The cardboard cutout makes The mount is super sturdy What you need: Power Drill 7/32 drill bit Ratchet wrench with 5/16 drive socket Philips Screw Driver A positive, can-do attitude Im by no means a DIYer, and I was able to mount my TV with the help of a friend! Heres installation in a nutshell, again this is for wall-mounting on wood studs.. which will be the majority of you! 1) Place the cardboard template on your wall, mark the 4 holes that align with your studs. (You need a stud finder) Mark the spots with a pencil or something that you can see. 2) Using the 7/32 drill bit, drill 4 HOLES into the wall 3) Hold the mount up to you wall, and screw the four 5/16 screws into your wall, using a ratchet wrench with 5/16 drive socket. Your mount is now up on the wall, hard part done! 4) Install two vertical brackets to the back of your TV, and youre basically just hanging the TV brackets onto the wall mount. The articulation of this mount is amazing. It didnt take long at all, and my brand new 4K looks beautiful. The ability to swivel and adjust the mount is (in my mind) crucial and this mount does it all well. Feels incredibly sturdy, and Im sure my two small children appreciate that the TV wont be crashing down to the floor. Very pleased with the purchase, and proud of myself for being able to get a 65 TV on the wall.

First let me say that over all this TV mount is an excellent value and is easy to install. The directions are simple, clear and the parts fit together easily. I did call customer service to get a suggestion on my particular install location since I had a very small space to squeeze the the TV into. They were very helpful and based in the USA which is always nice. The problem I had is the tilt feature would not hold my TV in the needed position, it kept tilting all the way down. I have a Samsung QLED 75 TV. It turns out the mounting holes in the back of the TV are not centered top to bottom so there is more weight at the bottom than top and its too much for the holding power of the tilt feature. I called customer service and they were very helpful in pin pointing the problem and sent me special brackets so their mount would be more centered on the back of the TV to help with the weight distribution. Unfortunately I realized when I got them that it would change to height of the TV which would mean re-positioning the wall mount because of the limited space I have to work with. I dont want to do that because the new holes would be too close to the old ones and I dont want to take a chance of weakening the wall studs or mount. I was able to get the mount to hold the TV in the needed position by inserting a metal bracket in the tilt track blocking it from dropping down. The bottom line is I had a good experience with them and would use them again. I think my issue was unique but I have suggested to them to see how they could improve the holding power of the tilt portion of their mount.

I bought this to support the LG C2 77. No regrets. I had another mount that was cheaper. I decided with the amount that I put towards the TV I should also think about the mount as well. This thing was amazing. Installed it with 3 of my brothers and they all agreed it was amazing. Simple install and all the appropriate hardware to get it done. No trips to the store for other parts and easy videos to remind you that you are doing it right along the way. Great motion, amazing tilting options with TV on the mount, and handles big TVs with ease.

This thing is HEAVY. Holy cow. You will need an assistant to hold this guy on the wall while you drill into your STUDS. Do not even think about using drywall screws or whatever. I accidentally kicked one of the edges on this and bruised my foot while we had it on the floor :( Spent a good amount of time with the instructions and trying to make sense of them. I feel for companies making these wall mounts to fit most any tv. I had to add some additional spacers I found lying around my house to get the perfect mount for my TV. I had a rubber grommet kit lying around that did the trick for me, but I would imagine 70% of you should be okay. Consider getting the installation option via amazon if you aren’t particularly handy in this sort of thing. My partner and I spent probably 2-3 hours and they aren’t a particularly strong person, so it was very nerve racking and exasperating. If you fight about ikea furniture building, this is likely not for you. Consider as well you have to reasonably center your wall mount for optimum height and couch view-ability. There’s really a lot of factors involved with wall mounting a television, and it can be terrifying. Measure thrice, mount once. Don’t even get me started on making sure it’s level. No one wants a permanently cock-eyed television As far as how the mount functions once on the wall, it’s like butter! I invested in a 75 inch Samsung and this guy holds it easily. I can move the television with my pinky Left or right. It pulls forward and moves back easily for quick access to ports on the backside. Great mount. Would buy again, but I have no need for another wall mount. Installation is moderately difficult, but a handy person should be okay. I think I was a few beers deep and I still figured it out.

Love the easy installation (if you’ve installed a tv mount before, you won’t have any trouble). The instructions were hilarious. My mom and husband and I were laughing hysterically during installation. Highly recommend!
