> 24 hourOf course this product is marketed towards streamers, however, the Stream Deck is capable of much more than stream assistance. I had a great time setting up my layout and designing beautiful icons for each unique folder. I have a folder for launching software tools (Photoshop/Blender/VSCode/etc), a folder for websites I need to keep track of, a folder taking full advantage of the Spotify extension (its pretty great), a folder for launching my favorite games, a stream folder (havent set up yet), a folder for keeping track of stocks (if youre into that), and a currently unused folder for important system folder. Does this product do anything I cant already do? No. Does it streamline productivity? Absolutely. For example, within my Websites folder I have buttons that can take me to my domain provider, AWS, GitHub, etc. Sure I could have them stored somewhere in my browser favorites, but its just so much simpler to press 2 buttons and *boom* Im on the page I need to be on. The best part is that even with 15 buttons, I can organize infinitely many folders and add additional functionality whenever I see fit. So you dont technically even need the larger version. Overall it is a very cool piece of tech and I recommend it for gamers/streamers/programmers/artists/anybody who frequently uses their PC and needs to organize their workflow a bit.

> 24 hourWhile the Stream Deck is marketed towards people who want to control their livestreams (a task at succeeds at perfectly - one software install and nothing else was all it took to get it talking to OBS), it also works for damn near anything else thanks to its ability to do hotkeys! You want a mic spam soundboard for annoying your enemies? Sound boarding is built in to the software. You want a panel of controls for your spaceship in Elite Dangerous? You can emulate any input, so yes! You want macros for your favorite piece of business software? You can do that too. You want a simple app launcher? Yep, built in. I went into this looking for a stream controller and found something that does so much more. Think of this less as a streamer tool and more a completely customizable keypad, and let your imagination run away with what you could do here. 15 buttons is more than enough, combined with a folder system that can, as far as I can tell, be infinitely nested, and you have more than enough buttons for whatever it is you could possibly want. The software is light, unobtrusive, and fairly intuitive. If I had to come up with one complaint its that you have to do the button images yourself, either by dragging app icons or PNG images in - theres a neat icon creator on Elgatos website that the software will link to, but this is the minorest of minor complaints. If you cant think of a use for a programmable keypad, get this anyways. Youll figure something out in no time. Highly, highly recommended as an all-purpose tool for most computer users!

> 24 hourAcross all my projects, I use different statistical packages. And for each project, I have a specific set of macros that I run to maintain replicability of my data creation steps and analyses. I have been able to use the Elgato stream deck to organize all my macros and projects with ease. I also have it set to open commonly used software applications on my computer. It works really well with Keyboard Maestro on the Mac OS.

> 24 hourEven with two monitors, when youre playing a game, interacting with chat, and running a half dozen applications, having to tab around to take care of a task is inconvenient and distracting. Its particularly useful with urgent tasks (purging chat, muting your audio/microphone). The stream deck allows you to assign a near infinite variety of actions to the individual keys, allowing you to adjust volume, mute, change scenes in OBS/SLOBS, start/stop recording, place a stream marker, send a tweet, send a comment/message in chat, etc. A recent update to the software included Twitch Studio support, a sleep action, and a custom screensaver image (for when your stream deck is inactive). Another update gave us soundboard output options, a random action trigger, and a multi-action switch. The multi-action switch is particularly fantastic, in that you can keep pressing the same button to perform a series of tasks. Say, select your scene, unmute your audio, go live, tweet that youre live, all by tapping a single button. Its a costly product, when you compare it to a gaming keyboard or mouse, or other peripheral devices, but the sheer amount of customization, and that it allows you to display custom icons, it quickly becomes one of the most valuable input devices on your desk during a stream. Im glad I bought it, the quality of life improvement has been tremendous.

> 24 hourI am shocked at how useful this thing is. As someone who rarely streams, I was unsure about this purchase. But I will be recommending this to just about everyone I know with a PC. Having a panel of customizable buttons is incredible. Shortcuts to your most used programs, push to talk, I set up Philips hue so I have light switch toggles. Even if youre not a streamer, this thing will prove useful.

> 24 hourSo I had my stream deck for a few weeks and I been learning how to use it properly little by little and the amount of things you can do with the press of a button is worth it for me you can control your stream sent out tweets change the tittle of your stream switch scenes at any given point create a custom soundboard etc everything work smoothly but you have to really sit here and organize the way you want it I recommend people to watch YouTube videos on how to use it before purchasing so you can understand what this machine can and can’t do for you but so far so good !!

> 24 hourThis thing is amazing. I expected to love it when I saw what it could do. Now, I more than love it. I am not aware of other products similar to this out there. I imagine there are. Maybe theres something free. If you know of one, share it with everyone you can. I feel like no live streamer could go wrong picking one of these up. I had started getting to the point where using keybinds on my keyboard would stop me from being able to type normal messages during a live broadcast without activating those keybinds, no matter where I placed them. And it was only going to get worse with the more keybinds I was going to need. I havent done half the things I intend to do with this Stream Deck yet. And Im sure even after I get there, there will always be even more things Ill discover that I want to do with it.
