Edit: multi function on one button added, individual source interaction has been added. Now I wish the buttons could be toggles for sources / multiple things. - it will probably get there. These guys update nonstop! TLDR I love the Stream Deck - it is awesome. Build quality is great. Buttons feel amazing. Elgato constantly updating - great company so far (check out their capture cards too - wish I could have gotten my hands on their green screen before buying another version) Needs better wire placement or removable wire. Software needs to be able to interact with individual sources (show/hide) within an OBS scene instead of just scene switching. Multiple commands on one button would be nice - go live announcements on all social platforms for example. Tinker with the stand - figure out the angle you prefer - then buy a better stand here on amazon. Now the long part: I had a misunderstanding/higher expectations of things I could do with it when I was looking into getting one but I now know that the limitations are most likely OBS. I also am not a master of all things streamdeck so my understanding of all the tricks is limited. What I was hoping it could do was toggle individual items within a scene - what it actually does is switch scenes. My expectation was that I could tell it to hide/show certain items in a scene (I made a gif with audio file for when I make a cool play and wanted it as a victory button) I believe the work around is setting a hotkey combo in OBS then binding that to a stream deck button - would be nice if it had native support for sources. The stand is ok - it seems to always end up collapsing at some point - my cats are probably involved. I like mine at a steep angle so I bought one of those aluminum phone stands (omoton) and it fits it perfectly. The wire sticking out the top is a bummer which brings me to the next point. The cable comes out the top of the device - and is permanently installed like a keyboard. I would rather if it were permanent that it come out the back-center of the device (like a wall mount telephone - remember those?) and have molded cable routing to allow it go out the top, bottom, or sides. I for one dont mind the permanent cable but I would like options on a high end device of where my wire goes out. I understand why others might want it to be micro usb or usb c - one of my cats likes lightning cables but nothing else for some reason. It is a pretty great device and the build quality is great. There would be nothing wrong with picking one up - even if you dont stream. You can bind normal key combinations to the buttons and the opening of applications to it - while it might be a bit expensive only for that as the integration with streaming software is what pushes the value further.

Pros: Its a Stream Deck. Tidy package, does exactly what you want it to but is also highly customizable. LARGE support library of programs, games, and OSes. Plugins are plentiful and new interfaces come out regularly. Cons: Sleep mode doesnt blank the unit like the Stream Deck XL does, it just dims it a little. Folding stand leg only stays in slot by gravity, no positive click or pressure fit. Other: Choose your plugins wisely to utilize everything this unit can do to maximize its potential. Offloads SO much work. If you dont think you need one but need something, buy it.

Plugged in the stream deck right out of the box, downloaded the app and off I was. Easy to set up fun to use, tons of functions. I feel like I haven’t even scratched the surface of the uses for this device. Made my stream run much more smoothly. Looking forward to messing more with the settings and functions. 10/10 would recommend.

Didn’t use the small one too often until I started using voice mod. So small I needed an upgrade for more space. Great upgrade to my battle station.

I love the hardware! So well made! So cool! So very very useful - when it works. Installed it and a Wave 3 mic on a brand new Alienware desktop and Stream Deck locks up when I try to add Wave Link functions to it. OBS and others work, it just becomes unresponsive when I add something from Wave Link or click on something previously added from Wave Link. I want to love it so much but its not stable enough for professional use, which is tragic. Im using it for Adobe CC apps now and its amazing for them. Elgato support has been really great about this - 5 stars for sure - but they have not solved the issue. I really really want to come back and update this to 5 stars.

I dont use this for gaming or much media content creation. Its great for the media content creation that I do, but mostly I use it for Smart Home control (Hubitat) and for work. For work, I use it to launch online tools with different settings, to automate more complex analysis tool settings and configurations, and run some fairly complex keyboard macros. The nested folders allow me great control options for multiple different scenarios, and the ability to create my own key icons makes it very easy to find what Im looking for, even if I decide to move stuff around a bit to add more functions. Really invaluable tool that saves me a ton of time at work.

had an issue with it not loading tiles but it eventually corrected itself, so many plugins for so many different applications, not just gaming.

12/22 Update - nested folders have arrived. Upgrading stars to Chuck Norris status. First of all, this is not just a stream board. If you purchased it for that then be happy because it can do a ton more. If you are advanced and want a slick UI, great firmware and ease of use this is perfect. BUT it can be way better. Disclaimer, if you are a hot key master then this isnt for you. I want your memory powers though. New deck arrived. I totally didnt realize this thing didnt have nested folders. Limited to 210 actions sounded big but math can be hard :) Anyway I pitched the idea to Elgato to allow toggling layouts either on the board itself, which does take up a keys that would have to be dedicated across all layouts, or a quick toggle in the UI itself. For now I just have to save multiple layouts and load what I need for what Im doing. I quickly used up all 15 to open folders. But after I went into my first folder I created on the main board I knew I was only going to go so far. For example, I was hoping for a full 14 key layout for Premier, some of the keys within the layout are great to do quick hot keys, using hot keys in combination with other programs and folders, like bridge within so you dont have to use the back key, then folders dedicated to cuts, effects, color correction, etc... There are so many effects within each you can easily smash a new key to open up 14 new combinations of hot keys. What I really loved about this was the easy to use UI, slick board with a very manageable amount of keys which is what I hated about the larger ones. I never wanted a 48 macro board, just not for me. This board is perfect in size not to small not to big. This board can be so so so much more. Im hopeful they change the name to Everything Deck and not just Stream. People have no idea how awesome this thing can become. And not having Youtube Gaming even with version 1.2.0.1157 at the time of this comment is strange. But Im hopeful the profits earned will be invented into the UI. Which I now understand why they named it Stream Deck. Marketing to the streamers was a smart play that can earn them some hefty cash needed to advance this board. I imagine a lot of people purchasing this board want the nifty scene toggles, meme launch, mute, record, screenshot, etc... But man o man please buy this up so us advanced users can benefit from more upgrades. It goes way beyond streaming. If youre on the fence dont be. Because what separates this from others is the investment into the quality of the board, easy interface and future enhancements that the regular macro boards just dont provide. At lease none that Ive seen.

I knew Stream Deck’s were a requirement for gaming streamers. What I learned though is it’s a tremendous office productivity tool. I use one-click buttons to open frequently used websites and company tools daily. Setup is easy as the app makes adding buttons seamless. Highly recommend!
