Greater than one weekSo far Ive only been using it with SoundPad and Discord(easy to find/use plugins required), but itll expand as I need it to. Construction quality is on the device is rock solid, but as a lot of other have pointed out, the stand feels a bit flimsy, but that really isnt a big deal IMO. Its hasnt buckled under my button presses. In fact, when youre just using it as intended, and not testing for durability, it feels just as solid as the device itself.

> 3 dayI use my 32 button elgato for gaming and streaming. It is exactly as amazing and powerful for usage as you would think it is. So many possible ways to use the elgato. Its not over stating when I say this elgato is a game changer! Thanks to the manufacturer for making such a legendary piece of computer hardware. So thankful for this.

> 3 dayWow, Elgato, just, Wow. This little thing is a bit pricey - but this is already worth every single penny. The Elgato Stream Deck is already the easiest thing I have used to stream. I hated having to minimize or create hotkeys that are just a huge burden, so I decided not to stream until something better came out to be professional when I begin. Now this little box, wow elgato - please keep making streamer products like this. Now if youre serious about getting into streaming, the $150 average price may seem a little much, but, consider all of this: -The absolute ease of supported programs such as OBS, Streamlabs OBS, Twitch, Twitter, XSplit and others, and assigning tasks onto the Stream Deck according to the programs supported to do tasks. -Much easier to switch between scenes, and what you have in the scenes such as standbys, OSDs/Overlays, and anything else such as interruption warnings if something freezes. -Seriously, 15 LCDs built into it, and so far I have even used 240x240 pixels and it still displays fine. -Now with GIF support as of a few days ago! You know were going to have fun with this. -Buttons can change for some tasks, saving space; such as making an OSD go on/off just becomes a switch so you dont need to assign two entire buttons. -Live changing of music volume; can literally change as its played for Play Audio - so you can test it before you stream or change on the fly with the Stream Deck PC app. -Folders! You can use this to even make subfolders, for lots of music choices, sound snippets, things of the sort. But it also allows you to program multiple games instead of having to keep changing the scenes and re-point to files. Just make a folder with your most streamed games, click on a folder for a game and setup your most used needs such as OSD/Overlay -Multiple Stream Decks! Want less switching between folders, craved that longer setup? Use two Stream Decks side-by-side and program them individually, $300 is still far cheaper than the $3,000-$7,500 professional switchers and associated gear; plus if youre making a lot of money from streaming, this still pays for itself. Cons: elgato, please consider making a forum. Im sure a lot of people would love to give feedback and ideas. (Not just Reddit) Feedback to Elgato: Perhaps work with the Stream Avatars creator to support their program in the Stream Deck? Even make a bundle if you do, people will love this stuff. Want to get into streaming? If youre absolutely certain you want to, definitely get this Stream Deck. But I highly recommend only doing so if youre also going to use custom graphics. You may also want to consider getting Stream Avatars as well, with this Stream Deck Im sure it would be amazing. You know what is and isnt active and can just use 2 monitors, no need for 3 just to ensure youre streaming correctly, since the stream decks switches Source and being able to assign a graphic for when you have something on/off, is immensely useful. Also you can assign System tasks, such as launching certain websites or opening media, so if you want easy access without another desktop icon or manually going to where the file is; this is also very useful to have the Stream Deck for, Id imagine this would be great for Podcasts and the likes as well. Notes: Aug 5th: Since Elgatos Multi-Action update, I still give this a MASSIVE 5-Star review. This has removed needing far more buttons, and replaces them with the one-click solution. I use them to instantly do what I want, but they can as advertised be used with delays. Good Job Elgato, please, keep making more updates!

> 3 dayI bought this to use as a macro keypad for doing development work, it far exceeded my expectations. This device is a lot of fun and great for productivity, even though marketed and designed for gamers (streamers in particular). Pretty much you can assign anything you want to a button: I wrote a few shell scripts to handle things like setting my computer up for working on different products, then added some other macros for use in my ide, everything worked exactly as expected. Where this thing truly is worth the cost is in the screens on the buttons. With other macro devices/keyboards, you have to remember what each button does for which program, with stream deck, they are labeled by text and images (though most of mine are meaningless gifs that make me laugh). The integration with voicemod for messing with work calls is a fun added bonus. I havent gotten close to tapping this things potential yet and I look forward to my next productivity boosting keypress.

> 3 dayI did not buy this for streaming, and instead use this for working from home at my desk. Reasons why I enjoy it * Zoom - I was able to program shortcuts and just have a nice little gadget to mute, raise hand, camera on/off, and leave calls. I felt more engaged in the meeting vs using my mouse to move all over the screen and getting distracted by other things going on * Elgato Key Light - I received this as part of a work from home package and at first I wasnt sure if I cared but it ended up being a very useful and needed light source for my needs. Having a simple button at my fingertips made this a nice add. * Pomodoro Timer - I was able to use this to trigger multi-actions. So I had a pomodoro timer turn on and also a white noise track from spotify play at the same time. This allowed me to get my focus work done. * Calendar - I had set up separate buttons specifically to pull up my calendar on a specific area of my screen (used with moom) to have a good glance at my day. I use this feature often since my day is filled with zoom meetings. * World clock - I was able to display a world clock which is useful since I have teams across the world I work with * Spotify - nice to have controls at my finger tips. * App Launcher - it works just like cmd-tab, but I could toggle thru my apps by using a button. So... to be fair, none of this *required* a stream deck, but it definitely did make things a lot more simple, and I really liked this experience that I didnt realize I would benefit from, especially working from home. However, I have decided to return the mini. I was going to buy the 15key one because while the mini does allow for folders and menus, I find that I would be willing to pay a little extra to not have to dig thru menu items. However, before I buy the 15key, I am going to try the mobile app version on a stand first. One day with the mobile version definitely means it is not as tactile (the buttons on the stream deck feel great) but it does provide the same functionality as the 15key at a fraction of the cost. I think this is a great product for those working from home and taking video calls with teams often. This can be programmed to do a lot of things and I feel like I havent scratched the surface. The mini definitely did everything I mentioned above, but I have the desk space and disposable income to maybe take it a step further. Highly recommend, but not needed. Its like wired vs wireless headphones. Wired was fine, wireless is better.

Greater than one weekI love having macros set up for anything I can have one for, but having a 10 keyless keyboard means that the number of keys I have to put macros on without interfering with games and programs is very few. The Strem Deck has been an answer to my prayers. I have keys for everything. My favorite sites I like to visit, buttons for launching my favorite games, controlling my music via Spotify, capturing gameplay clips with Nvidia Shadowplay which I always forget the key combo for, and even a whole slew of copypastas to send to Discord, as well as shortcuts for Discord emojis. Each with its own picture on its key, and even animated ones! A nice touch of detail has been that on their website for making custom key icons, theres even a section to convert a wallpaper into key backgrounds so you can have all the keys come to form a whole photo. Cannot recommend this product enough. My only gripe is a personal one as I cannot decide on a final setup, and am always changing things around on it.

> 3 dayI bought this for my husband as a fathers day gift, he is a content creator on several platforms and he LOVES this thing and so does his viewers/fans. He uses it for different transitions for his streaming, to make fun noises for the fans, to use the voice changer thing, and all kinds of other things I honestly know very little about. He is always raving to his fellow content creators they should get one. It has held up really well the buttons are still shiny and look good even with lots of daily use. The packaging was nice, and we havent had to call tech support.

> 3 dayNo issues with the hardware. It works great. Using Arch Linux. No support from Elgato. Please consider supporting Linux users. FOSS alternatives are streamdeck-ui and boatswain. Both are good apps. Hunting down icons for streamdeck-ui is a pain. Boatswain gives default icons, which is great. However, it currently doesnt allow for sending keystrokes or launching of external scripts. Either way, I can conduct my business.

17-11-2024Love this thing! I use it to edit feature films with Media Composer on a Mac. It took a while to figure out, but now I have HUNDREDS of shortcut actions/macros. I only use the stream deck software to assign the Keyboard Maestro plugin, and then use that application to do everything else. I dedicate 4 buttons to switch to 4 different screens. This gives me 112 buttons (hundreds more with modifier keys). For example the top right blue button turns off the other 3 colours macro groups, enables its own macro group and launches an action which pastes all the icons for that group to each stream deck button. Way better than the stream deck software. I hope this helps.
