> 24 hourIve been hesitant on purchasing an Elgato Stream Deck for quite some time because I didnt think itd be worth the money. However the Stream Deck has changed the way I use my computer and saved me so much time! Let me first say that the build quality is very good, its a solid device and the small buttons are bright and clear. It feels like it could take a few drops or get thrown around in a backpack with no issue. The 15 key variant is a great size and I dont see myself needing to get anything larger as of yet. A great feature that the Stream Deck has is folders, so if you feel like 15 keys is not enough, dont worry because you can have an infinite amount of shortcuts by nesting them inside of folders. And you can even put folders inside of folders too! It has an included kickstand that lets you position it at any angle you need to which is super handy for various uses/surfaces. Its powered over USB and works with both Mac and PC. When it comes to actions, there are so many shortcuts in the list that it would take me too long to talk about them, but just know that you will not find yourself looking for a shortcut that doesnt exist. There are even third party plugins to install that incorporate the Stream Deck with the software you need it to work it (if its not already supported natively). I use my Stream Deck daily as a video editor and audio engineer. I can use quick shortcuts inside of the Adobe software which is incredibly helpful. I do stream a little as well, which Im trying to put more time into and for streaming, the Elgato Stream Deck is a must have! There are so many things to manage while streaming that it gets annoying to leave the game to do them. With the Stream Deck you dont have to. I work as a live production engineer for a day job and I have even found a way to incorporate the Stream Deck into my daily workflow from job to job! It can control macros to recall camera layouts or pull up a animated lower third, its super handy. Basically wherever I go, Im asked what its called and how much it costs. I cant recommend this enough for those looking to increase their productivity or if youre a streamer/gamer. Its worth every penny spent and I urge you to do research to see if the Stream Deck could improve your workflow. This review is completely unbiased and the Stream Deck was purchased with my own money.

> 24 hourI use this at work. It controls opening and closing frequently used programs and websites, allows one touch control for multiple keystrokes and simultaneous key strokes, and allows me to log into my remote desktops quickly. A great investment with a return in time savings and smoother work flow.

> 24 hourThis device is so cool. I dont even create videos or stream. This thing is simply a bunch of programable keys. And boy you can program them to do all sorts of things. I log into websites, start Photoshop or any other app, log into Facebook, on and on. You can program this thing launch any app or start anything on your computer. Buy this thing, try different things via Windows or Mac and change your life. You will not regret it.

> 24 hourIve had my Stream Deck Mini for a while now and I love it. Do I need it? Nope. Can I live just fine without it? yep. But I love it. Im not a streamer or video maker so the six buttons is plenty for me. One button is a menu that goes to 5 of my games, like SWTOR, that dont have a client like steam. One button is a menu to all my clients like Steam and Origin. I play DnD type games, so one button goes to a menu with all my book folders for the various games I play along with a character generator app. One button brings up a menu for my 5 most used websites like YouTube. One button activates a program I use often. And the last button is a settings menu. I have a button to my Live wallpapers app, MSI afterburner, a button to change my sound to speakers or headset, and then I have a button that activates all my apps for all the RGB stuff I have with one push. Its easy to use and set up. Making custom icons is super easy. I like the convenience factor of it. And it looks cool. Its good quality plastic, and the buttons feel good, dont feel like theyll break easily. I would recommend this even if your not a streamer, you can find good uses for it.

> 24 hourI’m not a streamer or a gamer. I bought this to use it as a shortcut device to open applications and load up websites, which does work that way. I love using it for Spotify, you can skip the song playing, play/pause and lets you turn up/down the volume from the deck. I was really excited when I found out you can add your own micros/ shortcuts. I’m a programmer so I added shortcuts to Run my programs, Save them and create a new projects from one click of a button. Not necessary but fun to use. I totally recommend the Stream deck Mini if you’re not a streamer or a gamer. Why? Well because the stream deck allows you to use folders, which allows you to store in more shortcuts and it saves a lot of space. You can also use nested folders which is really useful! I strongly recommend this to everyone! 10/10

> 24 hourI loved the Stream Deck while it was working (with one BIG exception that Ill mention at the end). Last night it started flickering and would restart every few seconds. I jiggled the USB plug a bit and even cleaned the connectors on the PC and the cable. This seemed to fix it, until tonight, that is. I started up the computer and the Stream Deck appeared to be booting as normal, but then it just went black. I could get the screen to briefly flicker by moving the cord around. I believe its a short at the plug end of the usb cable. I have the Deck sitting right next to my laptop and it never gets moved. Im not a power user by a long shot so I can only assume that the cable was barely working from day one. Ill do what I can to get a replacement under warranty and will update this review if needed. One other item that has been a problem since I got it: When booting my laptop the Stream Deck will remain at the Elgato logo until I unplug and plug the deck back in. This is quite annoying. UPDATE: I completely forgot to update this review in a timely manner. I did get a replacement Stream Deck and its been working perfectly. Kudos to Elgato for handling my problem relatively quickly. In the time since my initial review Ive also replaced my computer and the issue with it being stuck at the logo has gone away. I dont know why this happened, but it wasnt just me that experienced it as a Google search will show. Its not a super common issue and there still doesnt seem to be an answer as to why it happens. Im raising my review to 4 stars. Im not giving it 5 stars due to the initial problems.

> 24 hourI knew this would help with streaming when I only had 1 monitor but I got a second monitor just before this and this still makes streaming leaps and bounds better. Ive tried a lot of different cheap or free alternatives involving iPads or other small keyboards but the big thing these things lack is really nice software to go with it. The software that seemlessly integrates with OBS and many other apps as well as Windows is what makes this so much better than any of the free alternatives out there. If you can afford this, do yourself a favor and take the hassle out of your stream with the streamdeck. Now thats just for streaming, you can use this to integrate with a lot of things just by using web hooks and IFTTT. There really is a lot you can do with this and, although you can do these things other ways too, I think the software takes most of the hassle out of setting it all up. I would love to see a more native and versatile icon creator. The current online version isnt all that great right now but you can use any image editor to make icons too if you want to take that extra time.

> 24 hourIve been streaming for the last 2 years and over the course of time Ive wished I had a device like this. It was about a year ago I had a gaming keypad in my hands, but it wasnt quite right for streaming needs. Im so glad I waited. The Stream Deck solves all my needs and opens doors to other functionality that I had never imagined. My life as a streamer just got a whole lot easier. Build and construction: This thing is solid. It has a matte black painted aluminum chassis sitting atop a plastic stand. The screen behind the buttons is bright with great resolution for each of the keys. The USB cable is only 3 feet in length though. Usability: It took about 15 minutes to set up my scenes and functions for the Stream Deck. And Im sure I could tweak it even further with custom buttons and scenes. It can be a scene selector, a soundboard, a volume controller, a chat bot, and more! All with customizable images on the keys so that you never forget which button youre pressing. Before this, I had been using a 2nd wireless keyboard on my streaming PC to change scenes and make selections. I was constantly forgetting which scene was which and always having to divert my eyes to hunt and find the key. It was so obvious to my viewers what I was up to. Now, with a Stream Deck, my attention is always forward and my transitions are smooth and professional. Conclusion: Since I first heard about the Stream Deck, I knew it was going to be exactly what I needed. Now that I have one, its actually better than I expected. Im really excited to see what things I can do with this thing in the future. 10/10!!

> 24 hourFirst Ill start with Pros: The Elgato Stream Deck is fantastic right out the gate. It looks fantastic with its lit up icons. I love that it isnt stickers but little screens that are updated in real time making them incredibly useful for more than just having some fancy buttons. (I have a CPU Usage Monitor for example) The quick setup is really nice I was able to go in, click More Actions which brings up a list of Macros for certain apps like StreamLabs, YouTube, Twitch, and more. This let me set up a few buttons in about 10 mins, and I would be able to stream just like that. Honestly While I havent even had it for that long it has already become so useful for Streaming and Playing Games. With the ability to make Folders, even if you only have a 15 button Deck, you can still put folders upon folders and have it super well organized. I honestly thought that 15 maybe wasnt enough buttons but since I enjoy having my Macros organized it has made the 15 seem like sooooo many buttons. My main screen has 3 icons so far: Streaming Folder, Games Folder, CPU Usage Monitor and those are working out so well! Cant wait to make more Macros! Cons: The Cable from the Deck to Computer cant be changed out, so if it breaks you gatta spend another $200+ on a New Deck. Or try and learn how to solder it together? The Make an Icon website they have is handy for making a quick Icon but I wish they had just a simple Inactive Overlay setting so you can make Active and Inactive buttons. They do have a Gradient Overlay but its not that great to be honest. They could just do with more options.
