This thing is amazing. I expected to love it when I saw what it could do. Now, I more than love it. I am not aware of other products similar to this out there. I imagine there are. Maybe theres something free. If you know of one, share it with everyone you can. I feel like no live streamer could go wrong picking one of these up. I had started getting to the point where using keybinds on my keyboard would stop me from being able to type normal messages during a live broadcast without activating those keybinds, no matter where I placed them. And it was only going to get worse with the more keybinds I was going to need. I havent done half the things I intend to do with this Stream Deck yet. And Im sure even after I get there, there will always be even more things Ill discover that I want to do with it.

This is the first Corsair/Elgato product I have ever purchased that actually worked... and I love it. If you stream or need something to help with productivity, youll struggle to find a better product in this space. The buttons could be improved, and the fact that the stand isnt adjustable is a minor inconvenience. Overall, great product.

I originally bought a 32-key Stream Deck XL. The scheduled delivery was updated to two months. I cancelled that order and bought my first 15-key Stream Deck. I do not use it for live streaming so I had to sort through a lot of YouTube videos. Some of the older videos will tell you about limitations that have since been removed by Elgato. After setting up profiles for the applications that I use the most (Photoshop, Lightroom, Word, Outlook, File Explorer, PhotoLab, and Aurora) that are linked to the application, I could see that if I wanted to also load applications, web pages, and documents, it would be beneficial to have a second one for that purpose. The original one changes its layout when there is a profile for an application that is active (in focus). The other one is pretty much static. When you buy a programmable keypad you should consider two things: (1) how are the keys labeled, and (2) does that keypad support profiles to switch to on an application-sensitive basis. I have a Genovation 48 key programmable keypad for Photoshop. It does not support application-sensitive profiles, but does have clear removable keycaps to put legends under. I also have an Xkeys 24 key keypad. It supports application-sensitive profiles and has removable keycaps for legends. I have a Logitech G110 programmable keyboard that supports application-specific profiles but there is no easy way to label the keys. The Stream Deck has application-specific profiles and using an OLED screen behind the keys, it instantly labels each key. The display is very sharp and easy to read. I made a 500x500 pixel all-black .png file for the background, and usually label a key using a white 10-point san serif font. I generally start with a blank line. Icons are fine for some people and I use some elegant arrow icons, but I find I can comprehend text quicker than an icon. I bought some Stream Deck packs from SideshowXL but found I was trying to figure out what an icon meant most of the time. I also preferred my own layout, and not trying to add each and every function to a key. The keys are smooth and have a nice feel to them. The case seems solid. Some complain about the tilt-up stand that comes with it, but I think its fine. The programming software is refined and modern. For me, two 15-key Stream Decks is a great addition to my system.

Ive been looking for a product like this for quite a while. Having the extra shortcuts easily at hand is a time saver for me. It means that I dont have to take my hands off the keyboard to open a program. It might not sound like much, but it is for me. The quality of the product seems very good and the setup was a breeze. I especially like the ability to customize the keys with a wide variety of options (launching programs, keyboard shortcuts, opening web pages, etc.). The install was simple and the user interface is clean and very intuitive. The only problem that I have thus far is the price. Im sure they have had good success with the initial roll out at $150. In the long run I doubt this price point is sustainable. $100 is more the likely the price I would pay if I werent an early adopter.

This is a review on the XL version and the pros and cons for consumers whilst compared to cheaper macro keyboards. First off I would like to say that this product is really good for what it does but there are drawbacks as well. Pros: -Great tool for workflow not just streaming > assign keys to do many functions that are not limited to streaming software. -LCD screen lets you see what the buttons are (this is important because without this knowing and using a keyboard like this will be based on your memory which brings me to the next pro) -Key Functionality is not limited to the number of keys on your stream deck so anyone looking at the XL I recommend the 15 key version. What I mean by this is on your stream deck the number of keys you have does not limit you to just that number of keys and because of the LCD it allows you navigate the keys with Pages/Folders. With the software built out like this your limited number of keys becomes an infinite number of actions per key. -Profile key setup : allows you to bind an application to the profile so that if you open the specified application it will bring up the necessary keys configured for said app. This builds up the limitation of the number of keys as well. For example I am using a word document and because I configured certain keys for that it will bring it up on my stream deck and then I close word it will revert to my default profile with specific keys configured etc.. This can go on and on allowing more functionality for your keys. -Latency when it comes to products like these typically feel like chinese hardware but not this it feels premium and works premium, button activation happens so smooth so if it ever feels slow its most likely your PC. Cons: -No built in memory -Need Software for device to work -Wireless functionality -Expensive compared to macro keyboards Things the company can do that I think will improve the product is working with Razer to integrate into the software, onboard memory and wireless. This can also give it a nice Razer aesthetic. Just my thoughts.

I’ve been using this for about 2 weeks now and I must say that this thing is awesome! Really wasn’t expecting this product to blow my mind away but once you understand how to use it and how you can manage your live streams I GUARANTEE you’ll fall in love with this thing!! I would buy the smaller version of the stream deck first though before paying the extra money for the XL. I hardly have 8 buttons I use but I’m sure the more I use it the more creative I’ll get into making this product worth even more my while. Five star! Good job “El Gato”!!!

I do not use this for gaming or for music/ videos but as a hot button solution for mY daily work task. With little experience I was able to set up hot buttons to open files and websites with one click. It saves me a lot of time and has increased productivity.
