> 24 hourWorks great with Alexa and app. However, I switched to these from WeMo because my WeMo dimmer stopped working after 2 days; so I need to give this a little more time and do an update.

> 24 hourHad one lamp with a 60W bulb attached and used just a few hours per week. Unit stopped working a little after two years. Expected more considering the price.

> 24 hourI have ordered 14 of these units since I first set up our smart hub in 2016 (we have a lot of accent lights) but I am replacing them all now one by one as they fail. Sometimes it is a power outage other times there is no reason - they just fail and then click on and off incessantly (which has to be great for the appliances I have plugged into them). Besides this GE brand, we have many other brands and types of smart plugs (inovelli, Gosund, HAOZEE) and none of them have failed since 2016. Additionally, I ordered the dimming version of this switch with separate controls for each of the two outlets and it wasn’t recognized by my smart hub (the inovelli dual separate switch has no problem with the hub). I really like design and for the most part they usually connect pretty easily (although I have had the problems others have had). I wish the inovelli was still available because the design works so well behind furnishings and with cord management. Unfortunately, due to my historical experience I would avoid the GE product.

> 24 hourI used this product for the first time during the 2021 Christmas season. I controlled most of my outdoor lights with just one of these. It easily connected to my Hubitat Z-wave network. It worked flawlessly. It is constructed out of quality materials. One nice feature is the on/off, lighted button on the device that allows for easy testing without pulling out my phone and programmatically turning the device on/off. I would recommend this device for wireless, outdoor lighting control.

> 24 hourThis review is written on the Gen 2 product and mirrors my Gen 1 review. I have used the Gen 1 version for a couple of years. It works fine and has excellent range, although I do have repeaters (Aeotec) around the house. The Gen 2 is about $9 more currently (May 2020). This time I bought a Gen 1 and a Gen 2 and tried them out on an outlet outside and about 100 from my house. Both worked fine. The Gen 2 is smaller, maybe one-third smaller. The Gen 2 has an indicator light on the front which can be programmed to be on when switch is off or vice versa. Thats a nice plus as with Gen 1 you have to just listen. Gen 1 also has a nice cover over the outlet while Gen 2 does not. So unless one of the features of the Gen 2 is something you require, smaller size or the status light, for the money, Id stay with the Gen 1 for the time being.

> 24 hourI like this product a lot, but heaven help you if you get one that doesn’t play nicely with a Smarthings hub. You best bet is it exclude it, then reset to factory settings. I then found that holding the on button as I plugged it in did the trick. It’s also a bummer that it’s sold out in many places. Even though I’ve had a few bumpy installs, I like to stick to a consistent group of products to make troubleshooting and integration easy.

> 24 hourring setup tips-- I couldnt find anywhere else (quickly), so thought I would share here -- to add, select security (not smart plug -- since that is ring) then scroll down to works with ring -- then, to switch new devices to be on the extender, just trigger them once or twice and/or use the connect button and then the signal warning icon in the individual sensor summary screen (battery, alerts on / off page, etc.) should go away (ring support-- please add this to the summary line, after the word closed-- low signal so its easier to find which devices need troubleshooting)
