> 3 dayThe Outdoor Switch was very easy to setup with my Z-wave hub and worked flawlessly with outdoor lights. My only complaints would be that it is a higher price than many smart outdoor switches and only has one outlet. Also, the cord is very stiff so tough to bend depending on how the outlet receptacle is positioned and may stick up instead of fall towards the wall. If cost were not an issue, I would recommend this product.

> 3 dayI have this connected to a Hubitat C7 and at random times of the day, it sends a barrage of status messages to the hub with on/off status. Enbrighten Tech Support say its a problem with my hub, but all the hub is doing is monitoring and displaying real time messages sent over z-wave. This will be the last Enbrighten/Jasco product buy.

> 3 dayIve always liked the Enbrighten Z-Wave controls, until this one. It works fine, its just difficult to install because the CORD IS TOO SHORT to plug-in to the waterproof electrical outlet and attached the switch to the wall facing down like the instructions describe. I cant believe they missed this design flaw.

Greater than one weekNo issues pairing it to SmartThings. The newer way of adding a device by scanning a QR is nice. No issues controlling the outlet once paired.

> 3 dayEDIT: Please note that the seller has substituted a completely different product in this listing from the one I originally bought. This is generally done in order to artificially inflate ratings for a product. My review is in reference to an indoor plug. Any reviews here that do not specify they are for the outdoor plug do not apply. I bought a couple of these over a year ago and meant to write a review but never quite got around to it. They’re not fancy, just a couple of plugs, and have worked reliably all this time so I seldom even think about them. I needed another Z-Wave repeating device and these were in stock. But now that Samsung is sunsetting their Groovy platform and moving over to Edge drivers for all devices, I’ve been slowly migrating my devices manually. I excluded these, re-added them, and they were picked up by an Edge driver right away. So I guess I’ll go back to using and ignoring them for another year or two. Much as I love tinkering with my smart home stuff, sometimes it’s nice to have something you never need to mess with.

12-06-2025I still have 2 of the first generation that function 100% perfectly with no issues. I bought 2 of the second generation but have only used one of them so far. I used the second generation one all last summer and it functioned fine except that every week or so, it would just stop responding and I had to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work properly again. However, I never had that issue with the first generation even in the same location with the same application.

> 3 dayWe currently have Vivint as our home security/automation system (with which were quite pleased with both their hardware, software and customer service), and were in the process of looking at how to extend automation via Z-Wave. For us, integrating this device was beyond simple. I plugged the unit into the desired wall outlet (probably about forty feet away from the base panel -- and thats going through a couple of walls), turned the unit on by pressing the top button once, went to the panel and put it into installer mode so it could sense for Z-Wave devices. The panel found the device and assigned to the system appropriately. I then named the device and set some custom rules for it. So far, not one issue. Definitely recommend.

Greater than one weekWorks as advertised. Plugged it into our Low voltage lighting and its so much easier to program than timer switches. Also setup routines with other lights.

> 3 dayI like this product a lot, but heaven help you if you get one that doesn’t play nicely with a Smarthings hub. You best bet is it exclude it, then reset to factory settings. I then found that holding the on button as I plugged it in did the trick. It’s also a bummer that it’s sold out in many places. Even though I’ve had a few bumpy installs, I like to stick to a consistent group of products to make troubleshooting and integration easy.
