> 3 dayI purchased this expecting that two wirelessly controlled grounded outlets meant two _independently-controllable_ outlets. It does not. It is not mentioned anywhere in the text of this products description (although it is in fine print in the images lower on the page), but the two outlets on this device are only able to be controlled together. This was definitely a frustration. That fact should have been made more clear in the products description or the name. 2018 Addendum: I see that now the product name and description both clearly mention that the outlets are controlled _together_, which is nice.

> 3 dayThis review is written on the Gen 2 product and mirrors my Gen 1 review. I have used the Gen 1 version for a couple of years. It works fine and has excellent range, although I do have repeaters (Aeotec) around the house. The Gen 2 is about $9 more currently (May 2020). This time I bought a Gen 1 and a Gen 2 and tried them out on an outlet outside and about 100 from my house. Both worked fine. The Gen 2 is smaller, maybe one-third smaller. The Gen 2 has an indicator light on the front which can be programmed to be on when switch is off or vice versa. Thats a nice plus as with Gen 1 you have to just listen. Gen 1 also has a nice cover over the outlet while Gen 2 does not. So unless one of the features of the Gen 2 is something you require, smaller size or the status light, for the money, Id stay with the Gen 1 for the time being.

> 3 dayIt worked well. Then, after two years, the blue light on top began clicking on and off; and it quit working. I discovered, after reading the reviews, that this smart plug commonly dies after two years. It’s a shame companies appear to purposefully build products that fail after the warranty expires, hoping customers will buy the product again. I won’t.

> 3 dayWorks as advertised. I used it this season for remotely turning on and off my holiday lighting systems. And my Smart home Z-Wave system allowed me to set timing programs. Its a dual three prong outlet.

> 3 dayRock solid switches! Works perfectly with Samsung Smart Things! Own 6 of these now. Super reliable and dont lose connections like the iHome Wi-Fi units I used previously. Just wish they were little smaller. Otherwise, great product!

Greater than one weekThe outdoor switch plug is perfect for adding flexible automation control to a variety of outdoor electrical devices. I use several of these plugs for different seasonal and permanent lighting systems. Installation and setup could not be any easier - my only recommendation for improvement would be to have a bit longer cord.

> 3 dayThis plug requires a compatible hub to control. The hubs are expensive and not plug and play. Buyer beware.

> 3 dayI have this connected to a Hubitat C7 and at random times of the day, it sends a barrage of status messages to the hub with on/off status. Enbrighten Tech Support say its a problem with my hub, but all the hub is doing is monitoring and displaying real time messages sent over z-wave. This will be the last Enbrighten/Jasco product buy.
