> 3 daySetup was flawless with my SmartThings server. Apparently device is indeed controlled directly, not through the internet (Z-wave, vs Z-wave plus). Both outlets are controlled together (not separately) which I expected but really did not see described anywhere. Top has a square button in the center which is lit when the outlets are off. Pressing the button enabled the outlets and dims the button. Quality seems good. Unit designed to go on your upper outlet. Doing so leaves enough room for most plugs you would use for some other item.

> 3 dayIt is advertised to work with Logitech Harmony Hub but it doesnt. I wish it would. It waste a waste of time trying this switch to get to work with my Harmony Hub. False advertising! Update: bought the Harmony Home Hub Extender and a GE ZigBee switch and that combination worked perfectly. I now can control this switch thru my Harmony Elite Remote and even include this switch to any activity.

> 3 dayI have ordered 14 of these units since I first set up our smart hub in 2016 (we have a lot of accent lights) but I am replacing them all now one by one as they fail. Sometimes it is a power outage other times there is no reason - they just fail and then click on and off incessantly (which has to be great for the appliances I have plugged into them). Besides this GE brand, we have many other brands and types of smart plugs (inovelli, Gosund, HAOZEE) and none of them have failed since 2016. Additionally, I ordered the dimming version of this switch with separate controls for each of the two outlets and it wasn’t recognized by my smart hub (the inovelli dual separate switch has no problem with the hub). I really like design and for the most part they usually connect pretty easily (although I have had the problems others have had). I wish the inovelli was still available because the design works so well behind furnishings and with cord management. Unfortunately, due to my historical experience I would avoid the GE product.

> 3 dayIT WORKS (unlike the zooz I tried). It successfully extended my range to 3 of my locks on far side of house. Plug and play. Easy manual switch. Both outlets are controlled at same time (not independent). I did not need two outlets and would have gotten the single but it is not available yet from amazon. Only downside to any of these switches is the price. 45 bucks is very close to the 50 dollars I paid for the samsung hub (on sale). If you are trying to plug a nightlight that is wide you will have an issue because of the position of the outlet facing up to down (If they had rotated the outlet 90 degrees you would be able to fit wider items).

> 3 dayWe purchased this item back in late 2017 but never installed it - until recently (January 2022). After 3 months it started making a constant clicking noise - like a relay closing and opening again - very loud and noticeable. Our Z-Wave controller also shows the switch as offline. Reset or re-integration with Z-Wave isnt possible and clicking noise persists. Cannot recommend.

Greater than one weekWorks great with Alexa and app. However, I switched to these from WeMo because my WeMo dimmer stopped working after 2 days; so I need to give this a little more time and do an update.
