> 3 dayUse this for my landscape lighting. Have it programmed using Samsung SmartThings for on at sunset and off at sunrise. Set and forget. Never failed. I have multiple others inside but glad to find this outside version. Will work great for Christmas lights too.

> 3 dayOn Android (probably same for iphone): Open SmarTThings app Click the + (plus icon at the top of the app home screen Select Device scroll down if needed and under select from list of devices, select by brand Find and select GE Select Switch/dimmer (not outlet) Select GE Z-Wave Select Start Choose Hum name and Room to add to select next Follow instructions on screen advising to press button once on switch continue to follow instructions and scan the QR code on the back of your GE Enbrighten Switch The device will be added in the smartthings app The device will appear in the app under the room you added it to. Test the switch from the app by trying to turn it on or off. If it does not work, manually press the button (press once and wait) on the GE switch to see if the app is recognizing the change. This should cause the device to sync up with smartthings and should work after that. Above worked for me , I hope it works for you.

> 3 dayWas very careful to install the product correctly and it just stopped working after less than 6 months…. Really difficult to figure out who to call for product support.

> 3 dayGot two of these and both have failed within a couple of years. I have over 50 z wave products and these are the only ones that failed.

> 3 dayPurchased this to use with, what I thought was a 400 watt roof heating mat. Found out the mat is 500 watts and therefore could be a problem using the smart outdoor plug. So we used it for Christmas lights outside and it is so easy to use and get set up. Now the lights are all controlled from inside, or anywhere, with my phone. Never had an outside smart plug before and now that is all I will be using.

Greater than one weekWe currently have Vivint as our home security/automation system (with which were quite pleased with both their hardware, software and customer service), and were in the process of looking at how to extend automation via Z-Wave. For us, integrating this device was beyond simple. I plugged the unit into the desired wall outlet (probably about forty feet away from the base panel -- and thats going through a couple of walls), turned the unit on by pressing the top button once, went to the panel and put it into installer mode so it could sense for Z-Wave devices. The panel found the device and assigned to the system appropriately. I then named the device and set some custom rules for it. So far, not one issue. Definitely recommend.

> 3 dayThe device really works great. However, the documentation needs to be corrected. I could not include this device into my Z-Wave network by pressing the manual on/off button once, as stated in the instructions. After fiddling with it for over an hour, I decided to give 3 quick presses of the button a try... and wow... it took off and got included.

> 3 dayIve used GE/Enbrighten switches and plugs throughout my home for the last 5 years. They work great with SmartThings... until they die. Last year, one of the wall switches went. When they die, they make a distinctive click-click-click like a ticking clock. Not a huge deal I thought - just buy a newer model switch and swap it out. Things die sometimes. Fast forward to today, and this smart plug started in doing the same. Totally no functional, just getting the click of death when its plugged in. One failure is not a huge deal. Two? Im starting to wonder if Im going to soon be ripping out umpteen switches and plugs. Not cool.
