This is a TERRIFIC projector. Im a trial lawyer, and I bought it to display documents to the jury on a screen at trial. The old projector made it hard to tell whether someone had initialed a document or not. This one, by contrast, made the evidence clear and convincing, as we say in my line of work. Youll love it. You will also need to figure out some way to carry it around, because it is a big mother, but worth the heft.

I ended up using a wireless HDMI cable. Wi-Fi connection requires a separate device and seems complicated. Otherwise it’s a great projector.

Projector was awesome and works well. The down fall is the lamp only last 3000 hours vs other Projectors that last 30,000 hours. I only used 1 hour and sent back once I realized its not made for long use.

We placed the unit about 18’ away from the screen wall, and the diagonal is about 160”. Even stretched to this size it is as clear or better than my 70” flatscreen! Never expected it to look this good.

I replaced my 7 year old Epson 8350 with this 3800. The picture is simply amazing - bright and clear. I did not think I would need the HLG capability for upscaling with YouTube TV, but glad it has it because the picture with the HDR is not really nice to view from YouTube TV on the FireTV Cube - too bright and not as much fine detail as when placing it in HLG mode. Glad i thought ahead: You must have a HDMI cable rated for 4K to hook to the FireTV Cube or it will not work with your AVR 2.2 HDMI input - it flickers and you can an error message saying it will not broadcast the 4K video. Buy two cables while you at it because you will need one from your AVR to the projector and one from your Cube to AVR - if you try to use non-4K cables it aint gonna work with the Cube.

This is my first projector, and so far Ive been pretty pleased with it. Set up for me has been tedious, but only because my home layout isnt conducive for projector use. Right now I have to have a temporary set up for use and then put everything away when done. Set up was fairly simple. Some minor adjustments were needed to fit the space I was using. The projector made short work of it and looked fantastic even on a makeshift screen. I am currently pairing this with an Xbox One X with its stellar 4k playback and excellent gaming library. Movies are amazing, from older films that have been rereleases on 4k to the latest releases like Avengers. Gaming was so so. Im used to gaming on a small monitor and found myself drawn away from what I should be doing in game because I was too busy looking at everything else. I will probably refrain from gaming further as I would like to try and extend bulb life as long as I can. Replacement bulbs are fairly inexpensive and seem to have a pretty decent life to them. Image quality seems to be pretty great too in low ambient light situations as well, however I have been going as far as I can to make it as dark as I can but thats just me. Overall I am pleased with the projector but wish I could give it a dedicated home.

Lets get this out of the way- You get a very nice picture out of this. 1080p is easy for it of course and Ive really enjoyed watching The Mandalorian in 4k. This is hooked up to a PC and Ive found that a 92 desktop is entirely usable with 4k. Physically the projector is a bit beefy. I wouldnt call it light however I didnt have much trouble ceiling mounting it by myself. It is plenty bright and even with lights on I tend to keep it on the lower settings without issue. As I said, beefy, so keep that in mind when purchasing a mount. I have the cheap one I was using for a smaller projector and not only is it probably a little to light duty for this, the mounting footprint isnt big enough and I can only get three of the arms to reach the projector holes. I advise not skimping and get something rock solid which will make your setup for aiming and focus a lot easier. Speaking of aiming I love the manual lens shift which is a first for me. It allows so much freedom of where you mount it. There is a lot of range in the zoom to so I didnt have to move my existing mount. My only real complaint is the lack of connectivity. My Epson LS100 has an network port so I can tie it in with my home automation while this doesnt even have a serial port. I bought the wireless adapter thinking that would give me what I need but it was only after contacting support that I was told it is only for media streaming and did not provide control. This is a must have feature for me so it leaves me a little disappointed. Other than that I did have some flakiness in a long HDMI cable but a repeater fixed that. Epson makes good hardware and Id recommend this to anyone with the caveat that you do your research. Know about the connectivity, get a good mount, then enjoy the picture.

This projector is absolutely stunning. Picture quality is glorious. Being able to see things in 4K (even this version of 4K) is amazing. As a filmmaker, I absolutely appreciate getting such stunning quality for my viewing experience. Setup is easy. Nothing out of the ordinary. Just plug things in appropriately, use the feet to get a level picture, etc. Remote is quite functional--there are a million options I will never use, but the basics are great! Controlling this from a distance is no problem. Audio must come from external speakers, but I prefer that. Who wants built-in speakers anyway? If youre buying this projector, youre obviously going to have a nice sound system to go with it. So they focus more on the features you will use rather than including something you wont. Plus, bluetooth audio is just the coolest thing ever. So happy weve gotten there. All-in-all, I absolutely love this!

Purchased this second projector for our bedroom, projecting on a DIY painted screen. Picture quality is fantastic. Fan is audible but not annoying. This new unit noticeably outperforms our original Epson 3900 projector which is running in the basement.
