> 3 dayI am in love ... with these pencils. Before buying I read reviews wherever I could find them. I watched videos on Youtube about these pencils. Holding my breath, I ordered them. They work well for me. They layer and blend fine. I draw mainly in graphite, but have been trying different brands of colored pencils off and on. This is my 5th brand. I used to love Prismacolor, but not anymore. These sharpen easily without the pain of broken leads or shredded pencils. They keep a pretty good point. This 36 pencil set provides adequate colors to play around with blending. At least with Faber Castell we can buy single pencils to round out a set. I will be doing more drawing in color now.

> 3 dayI tried a lot of off-brands and lamented greatly the cost of these pencils but in the end they were the right choice. They are extremely pigmented and layer exceptionally well on the right paper. If you want these for adult coloring books that have a smooth texture I would save money and buy the Arteza’s or Prisma’s but for medium textured paper these are the way to go. I used Strathmore Colored Pencil paper as well as Strathmore Mixed Media Vellum surface paper with great results.

> 3 dayI’m on a retired fixed budget, so I saved up for theses colored pencils..only to be disappointed.....I posted one of my art pieces drawn on dura-lar using Polychromos..I used a whole roll of duralar trying different brands of colored pencils, and I least liked Polychromos on duralar....maybe its the duralar that is not a good match for these pencils, I don’t know, but the duralar is like a magical material for other brands of colored pencil....many of these pencils would just not lay down color onto the duralar without added pressure, and when using duralar, pressure can quickly damage the minimal tooth. The pencil was not soft & creamy like other brands. Ive only used polychromos on duralar, so my review is coming from limited polymchromos experience. But, my first time out the gate with these pencils, was not impressive nor productive. I put these pencils away in their box, and in my cupboard. I might find another use for them later on???.

> 3 dayI LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these pencils! They glide on, are so easy to blend, and make everything come out more vibrant! Made with oil instead of wax, it comes out looking like somewhat like a cross between a watercolor painting and a richer oil painting. I owned about 10 that I bought separately, and couldnt wait to receive the rest of the colors. If you celebrate your own birthday, as I do mine, by being able to buy myself something special from myself, youll want to to celebrate early ( I ordered mine a month earlier than my Birthday) as soon as youre finished reading this review. While the wax pencils definitely have their place and can be blended with the oil in these pencils, the FaberCastell wins the triple crown without having to think twice about it! So order yours now - even if your birthday is 6 months away. Easily, the best in show!

Greater than one weekOne of the best colored pencils you can buy. Lightfast, rich pigment, and goes down smooth. Maybe a little costly if you are just using them for coloring books, but thats for you to decide.

> 3 dayI bought the 12 pack to try them out and enjoyed them so much I ended up wanting to get the 120 set so I saved up my money and got them! I love them so much! Some people say that blending is difficult with these but they worked pretty well as long as you work with layering your colors. Also if you are having some trouble with that I like to add some white on top to make them blend better and look nice and smooth. Practice always makes perfect! When I was useing Prisma Colored pencils they always smeared around and were kinda flaky when I used them witch I didn’t like but these colored pencils don’t do that at all! I haven’t had any of them break ether. Also they kinda smell like a freshly painted room and I really like it for some reason lol.

> 3 dayWhat can I say these pencils are as good as everyone claims. Smooth, can lay down layer after layer of color. Rich colors heavily pigmented. Well worth the price for me.

> 3 dayThe best colored pencils on the market today for adult coloring. What I love the best is because they are oil based they give off a beautiful shine no matter if you are coloring a regular adult coloring page or using a grayscale image for your coloring. They blend like a dream and give a huge range of colors to choose from including several that can be used to color flesh tones which I like as I do not have to mix as many colors to get realistic skin tones. I have a set of prismas as well and while they do work well together you will notice a difference as the fabers have much more brilliance and shine due to the oil base where as prismas are wax based and they can show a hazy bulidup if you have to layer too much. These by far will be my go to pencils and I have already been using for several weeks.
