> 24 hourI got this fan for the same reason anyone buys a fan. It does its job and it does it well. Pros: Decent battery life for the cfm at lower levels great portability easy to use and operate Cons: the caps that are supposed to help make the fan IXP4 water resistent Keep falling off during use Long Recharge time (though there is nothing the company can do about it) The Knobs that hold the fan in one place loosen over time or when you try and adjust it I work the dish tank at a restaurant And when the machine is running, the dish hose spraying, and the all the grills on it gets pretty hot. I got this fan so that i could put it wherever I want it with the batter, so it would be fine if some random bit of water got on it and so i could be cool at least most of the day. Good fan just dont expect miracles

> 24 hourI rec’d this yesterday and immediately read all the instructions since some users were having a few problems. Without turning it on, I plugged it in and it showed 60% battery. Fig. it would take abt. an hr. to FULLY charge the battery since it had more than 1/2 charge. It was fully charged after abt. an hr. (I didn’t time this, it’s purely an estimate.) I have taken pics to show the battery indicator when I rec’d it, when it’s fully charged (no lights are on), and when it’s running. I like that you have the choice of either using it plugged in OR on the battery. I will say that the directions tell you NOT to leave it plugged in to charge the battery longer than 24 hrs.! (I’m thinking mb some ppl left their fans plugged in while not being used and essentially ruined their rechargeable battery!) I’m planning on unplugging my fan if I’m not using electrically and then only charging for a few hrs. until the battery is full. I like its weight and portability. Plan on using it all the time! I think you can tell I’m already a big “fan” of this product.

> 24 hourI have 4 of the yellow ones which are fantastic. I bought the red ones since they where on sale at the time and they are not near as good. No matter how tight you screw the screws to set the angle they don’t hold. Also they don’t hold the charge as long as the yellow ones. I didn’t realize the front had been changed to plastic from metal, I use it around horses and prefer metal, so just a heads up on that.

> 24 hourExcellent for use during power outages in Florida where we need fans when the air conditioner is not working. This fan is powerful enough to provide relief from the heat and runs a long time on a full charge. My neighbor bought it first, and after seeing hers, I ordered one for myself. Very pleased!

> 24 hourI bought two 12-inch GeekAire portable fans (model: CF1SE) for indoor use (i.e., part of my hurricane supplies in case of power outage). The portability, fast recharging capability, silence, and ease of use of this model are all great, hence my five stars for the review. The battery duration is also good (about 11 hours next to my bed at mid-speed), but not outstanding. I wish that the manufacturer would increase the battery power (12000 mAh) so that the charge would last longer at a faster speed. The CF1 model offers a 15000 mAh battery, but the unit is $25 more expensive (the CF1SE model is not that cheap in the first place). I am not sure that the additional power would be worthy the additional cost. A more powerful battery would also mean longer recharging time, but I think that a 5-hour recharge time in return for 20000 mAh would still be a good trade-off to consider. I would also have liked the rotary switch to have markers in COLOR so that I could easily set up the fan for optimal speed in relation to duration. See photo--I taped a little mark. Obviously, these comments are more like suggestions for improvement to the manufacturer. Despite these minor weaknesses, I will keep the units, see how the fans perform over the years, and recommend this model to prospective buyers.

> 24 hourOverall, a nice fan with very high airflow. CONS: - Battery is a bit lacking. Only lasted ~4.5hrs on a full charge on high. I would expect about double that on medium, but I havent tested it yet. - While the stand isnt huge, I feel like it could have been smaller, or foldable for this price point. - The knobs to set the angle seem a bit weak and likely to crack over time (thin walled ABS, probably no UV stabilizer). And God help you if you accidentally unscrew one all the way! You practically have to take the whole thing apart just to get the knob back on since the screw holding it falls into the fan cage. - Must be charged via a 12V barrel jack, a USB powerpak wont cut it. PROS: - Very high airflow - BLDC is good quality and I expect it to last for a long time - No bearing noise (although there is some blade noise at higher speeds, but not much) - Seems like the IPX4 rating is appropriate, this thing should last awhile when doing drive-and-tent camping TL;DR - Overall, pretty good. High airflow, but low battery life at max speed. Stand is the weakest part of the whole design. Its obvious the costs went into the battery, motor, and electronics rather than the stand. Which is a good thing.

> 24 hourThis fan is cool, and the best battery-powered one I’ve ever used (I have a few). I live off-grid so my power runs out by 2am every night and doesn’t come back on until 8am or later. But this thing charges itself during the day and just keeps on running all night, then recharges itself after the power comes back on usually 6-8 hours later. It keeps the bedroom breezy & cool all night long, isn’t too noisy, and the speed is super adjustable. It’s also lightweight and easy to carry because of the handle, so I often take it with me when I go to art shows/fairs as a way of keeping myself and my clients cool while making & selling artwork under my canopy. It also makes hanging out outdoors more comfortable because it gets so darn hot in the summer, but I just pick a spot in the shade, set this thing next to me, and I can keep cool for hours while reading, painting, etc., and not have to be stuck in-doors next to my swamp cooler. The breeze also helps keep flies off my person and my paintings. The battery lasts for many hours, especially if you keep it on a medium or low setting (rather than a high setting) and though I’ve had it for 2 years now, the battery seems just as good, and the fan is still working perfectly. It’s made of sturdy metal and has handled accidental falls/drops/kicks/etc like a champ.

> 24 hourUpdate: After a month of no contact and no responses to my emails, Geek Aire suddenly sent me an email with only the words, Everything is set. When I asked what that meant, they said they were shipping me a replacement, which they did plus an extra charging cable. So, they ultimately did honor the warranty, albeit with terrible customer communication. Original review: This fan stopped holding a charge after less than a year. I contacted Geek Aire, because the company claims their products have a 1 year warranty. After they asked me to provide a bunch of information (model number, receipt of purchase, photo of the malfunctioning fan, etc.), they completely ghosted me! I left multiple voicemail messages and got no return phone call. I sent multiple emails and got no replies. Terrible company. Terrible customer service. The 1 year warranty is clearly a joke! They should be cited for deceptive advertising.

> 24 hourI bought this fan 2 summers ago. I only use it during the summer when the temp get too high. I was using this fan for the first time this summer and within a couple of hours I could smell plastic burning. I’m so glad I was by the fan because next thing I knew it was sparking and bellowing smoke. Idk if it got over heated or gf faulty wiring, but I feel like this product should’ve lasted longer than 2 summers of occasional usage.
