Greater than one weekI have only used it for a couple of days, but the fan charges pretty fast, has a pretty good battery life (2 full nights sleep on medium high), is pretty quiet and blows pretty strongly for its size. The best feature is the mobility. I can take it on the porch or in the garden without a cord. We plan to use it for camping and its nice to have a cord or batter option. The one thing I would change is the lights. There are 3 lights that indicate battery percentage and they remain on even when the fan is blowing. They are pretty bright in a dark room. I would have preferred that they turn on briefly when turning the fan on/off instead of staying on indefinitely. I may need to put some tape over them to get a dark night of sleep.

> 3 daythe fan is nice in the sense that it is portable. my boyfriend purchased it for camping since we use a fan every night at home, but it didn’t last all night. it died half way through the night and since we didn’t have a way to charge it, we were pretty disappointed the rest of the weekend. the quality is great, but for the price it definitely should have a battery that last longer.

> 3 dayI rec’d this yesterday and immediately read all the instructions since some users were having a few problems. Without turning it on, I plugged it in and it showed 60% battery. Fig. it would take abt. an hr. to FULLY charge the battery since it had more than 1/2 charge. It was fully charged after abt. an hr. (I didn’t time this, it’s purely an estimate.) I have taken pics to show the battery indicator when I rec’d it, when it’s fully charged (no lights are on), and when it’s running. I like that you have the choice of either using it plugged in OR on the battery. I will say that the directions tell you NOT to leave it plugged in to charge the battery longer than 24 hrs.! (I’m thinking mb some ppl left their fans plugged in while not being used and essentially ruined their rechargeable battery!) I’m planning on unplugging my fan if I’m not using electrically and then only charging for a few hrs. until the battery is full. I like its weight and portability. Plan on using it all the time! I think you can tell I’m already a big “fan” of this product.

> 3 dayThis is probably the best purchase Ive ever made on Amazon. I purchased it and brought it with me to South Africa where I lived for 2 years with rationed electricity. The nights were brutally hot and this thing was a life saver. Every time the electricity went off, I was the only person getting sleep. After two years, of running nonstop and constantly having the batteries drained and recharged it still worked just as good as the day I bought it.

> 3 dayNormally dont do reviews myself as never sure if some are genuine or not. Only had the fan now for a few days and taken it with me to 2 outdoor restaurants. Heat index recently where we are in the low 100s with extreme humidity and without this fan I would be drenched, so popped it up on a chair opposite me(or on the table itself) and it does the job very well. Love the fact that I dont have to worry about batteries and being so portable but sturdy. Fast charger as well. Mainly brought this when we go on the beach but just going to take it everywhere with me from now on. A good purchase. So far very pleased. Will give it another few months and consider buying another for a place we have elsewhere. I also like the fact that busy restaurants, albeit cooler indoors with their air-conditioning have at present too many concerns with Covid-19 for me to take chances with so being outdoors with less people about gives me peace of mind and now dont come back dripping in sweat. Good job GeekAire. Thank you.

> 3 daySolidly built fan. It definately moves the air! It makes moderate noise when running, BUT any fan that actually moves the air is going to make some. This is a low pitched noise and Ive found it pleasant. Metal blade. Charges right up. I live in a 100 percent solar environment and this is working. Has for the past 9 months. The only downfall is it only runs and has only ever run for 5 hours on high. Im quite sure every battery fan, unless you happen to find one with a whopper sized battery, theyre likely the same. I simply plug mine into my Jackary 160 and get cooling all night long. I took out the asurion policy for it. And I would buy it again. The company stands behind their products too!

> 3 dayI had time to use this fan. I must say I love it. I have a remote, glass enclosed, gazebo in my back yard. A little bit away from my house. I do have windows that I can open up on three sides to get air. It is a bit hot in the summer but is a great 3 season gazebo. So for the summer I got this fan. I charge it up and it last a good point of the day. Its is great because I do not have electricity going to the gazebo. Once charged, it is wireless. It is a strong unit and it helps keeping my gazebo cool in the summer months. I recommend this if you go camping. I think it would be good if you can get a car charge option. Im not saying it is waterproof. Is good for a sheltered area. It can go anywhere otherwise.

> 3 dayUpdate: After a month of no contact and no responses to my emails, Geek Aire suddenly sent me an email with only the words, Everything is set. When I asked what that meant, they said they were shipping me a replacement, which they did plus an extra charging cable. So, they ultimately did honor the warranty, albeit with terrible customer communication. Original review: This fan stopped holding a charge after less than a year. I contacted Geek Aire, because the company claims their products have a 1 year warranty. After they asked me to provide a bunch of information (model number, receipt of purchase, photo of the malfunctioning fan, etc.), they completely ghosted me! I left multiple voicemail messages and got no return phone call. I sent multiple emails and got no replies. Terrible company. Terrible customer service. The 1 year warranty is clearly a joke! They should be cited for deceptive advertising.

Greater than one weekThe good news is this a beautiful looking, super-portable, long-lasting battery operated fan for indoor or outdoor use. The bad news is despite calling it a hurricane fan, its simply not that powerful compared to the Vornado model 723 which costs significantly less (but has to be plugged in to work). The really bad news is that the fan refuses to stay at the angle I adjust it to. It stays that way for a few minutes at most before going back to the angle it prefers. Iv e tried tightening the height control knobs, and they simply dont work right. The fan is otherwise decent, but not powerful enough to get you through heatwave with no A/C. I would not buy this fan again. Get a Vornado model 723. Now thats power, plus its built like a tank and stays where you aim it. If you are going camping, or to the beach, or just doing outdoor stuff anywhere, or youre in a summer time power outage, then this fan makes sense--especially since it doesnt have to be plugged in once its been charged. It puts out a pretty good amount of air for several hours, but because it wont stay where you aim it, that kind of defeats the purpose.

03-06-2025I was looking for a fan to use in lawn work to avoid mosquitos. A portable battery fan would have worked well. This fan is all that and much more. I use it indoors during sleep hours. It is silent, has continuously variable speed, and due to its 16 fan size, even at very low speeds it produces a significant breeze (with no noise). I have not timed it yet for battery time, but I was able to use it more than two nights at low setting without charging it. It also charges quickly using the included charger. I wish it was available in more conventional colors (like black, nickel chrome, or dark grey instead of the loud red or yellow), but it still deserves a 5 star rating. The tilt setting could have had detents without requiring hard tightening of the side knobs, but again I would keep my rating.
