I purchased this for sleeping. I live very remote and lose electricity much too often. I need fan noise to sleep! Without it all I do is toss and turn. I honestly wish it made more noise, but that is actually a compliment to the fan. For the amount of air it moves I think it is very quiet! The build quality seems very nice and should easily hold up to getting knocked over or bumped around. Once I received it I charged it fully then turned it on high and started a timer. It seemed to keep the same high setting until the 4 hour mark. Now this was inside, so if it was outside with different conditions, maybe extreme heat, counter winds...perhaps it wont last quite as long. BUT...even when it slowed down at 4 hours, it seemed to run at about 50% for another 90 minutes. So Im guessing, at a 50% - 75% dial setting, it may run for 5 or 6 hours, maybe more. My reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the battery life. In this day and age, with battery technology, I would really like to see an extra battery or 2, or a different setup, and increase the run time to at least 6 - 8 hours on high, 10 - 12 on medium or low. It would not be hard to do. At $110 or $90 with a coupon, I think it should run longer. Even though I only purchased this for sleeping during power outages, I think this will definitely get use this summer for outdoor events. I would recommend this fan.

We live in an urban area with a surprising amount of mosquitos. I got the fan primarily to use when I sit on my balcony, to blow on me for heat reduction and to keep the bugs off me. They can’t fly very well into a breeze so it’s a great option if you don’t want to mess with repellants. So far it’s worked great for that purpose and I see it being our go to for indoor cooling as well. Maybe also if we need to shampoo a carpet or dry paint or glue for home projects. It’s the 10” size and great for my needs and lack of storage for anything bigger. The only con so far is that it can’t be left plugged in for more than 24 hours per the manual, so it will require some attention on my part to keep from burning our the battery.

Ive owned this unit for 2 years. Ive charged it fully and drained it fully about 20 times. Ive always left the battery at full charge when not in use . Recently I went to charge the unit from being flat after it only been flat for a day and the unit will no longer turn on or charge. Now it is a $90 paperweight. The unit is built out of metal which allowed it to push plenty of air. While it was working the only complaint I had was that moving the position of the fan in relation to the stand would sometimes cause the holding bolts to disconnect. At full power the fan would last about 3 hours. At half power about 8 hours, and it 30% power it would last a full 24 hours as advertised. I figured that once the battery failed to charge I could still use this fan as a plug-in. I was wrong. I think Ill take it apart and see what makes it tick, now it is no longer working.

Got this for a hot summer camp out with the kid. Didnt have them when I was younger but global warming and all that. Decent air output and bot much noise. I would recommend if you want a breeze.

It is perfect for what I wanted

First of all i was hoping a more expensive fan would put out more air than a cheaper $10-20 would but after receiving this late and finding out it is no more than what i paid walmart for really disappointed ad claims 10 fan but as you see in picture it is a 9 inch fan with 8.5 in blades same as the walmart 9 fan in picture beside it does not put out no more than this fan if even as much only thing better is the battery power than my inverter and walmart ac i was using. as tested for 2.5 hrs on high it still had 2 lights lit which their claim of 4.5 hrs running is true on fresh batteries we will see in a year or so blades are too flat to put out air needed i drive truck and some docks demand cut truck off so the fan was to provide the air needed in the 100 plus heat inside all metal frame is only thing going but a lot of wasted room a 10 in frame does not make it a 10 in fan the blades is the size of fan so really this is a 8.5 in a 10 frame false advertising comes from California so dont expect 2day delivery if on east coast through prime although it did sit for a day held by amazon 1hr 1/2 from my house

I have 4 of the yellow ones which are fantastic. I bought the red ones since they where on sale at the time and they are not near as good. No matter how tight you screw the screws to set the angle they don’t hold. Also they don’t hold the charge as long as the yellow ones. I didn’t realize the front had been changed to plastic from metal, I use it around horses and prefer metal, so just a heads up on that.

We live in an area that is prone to storms and that sometimes results in power outages. When that happens in the middle of the night, we often wake up and cannot go back to sleep because it is so hot and so QUIET! We bought this battery operated fan in hopes of making things a bit more tolerable during power outages. So far, this fan has lived up to its advertised potential. I operated the fan on HIGH for about 3½ hours before the battery was drained. It took roughly 2 hours to recharge the battery after that. As for NOISE: we actually like fan noise when we are trying to sleep, so were hoping for MORE noise. I would say the fan makes less noise than the average kitchen oven vent fan. It is a (to me) very soothing noise, yet not so loud that it requires raising your voice to carry on a conversation. As an added bonus, we can take the fan outside to the patio or porch without the need of an electrical outlet. It is light enough that anyone can move it from place to place, and the air flow can be directed vertically by simply tilting the fan in its frame. The fan moves enough air that it covers a 15x12 room adequately. I would recommend this fan to anyone.
