This is a super fun game that is quick to play and easy to learn. My whole family loves it from the little ones through the adults. Its great for family game time.

Love this game! Great game for kids and adults. Easy to learn, yet hard to get bored of.

This game is fun and it makes me SO happy to see that the company is alive and well. However, nothing beats OG Rat-A-Tat-Cat.

You know the family games that you regret buying, especially when you see your child coming at you with it on a rainy day, saying, Will you play this with me? Well, Rat-a-Tat-Cat is not one of these.

We bought this game years ago for our twins (now 11). Our whole family enjoys and is challenged by Rat a Tat SPLAT (thats what we lovingly call it). The girls have had to learn to add quicker and we often give time limits on how fast you have to play (encouraging math skills). We are always trying to change up how we lay our four cards in front to trick other players! Highly recommend this game!!

I prefer games where I dont have to dummy down for the kids to have a chance of winning. This is one of those games. It is easy, fun, and short. It saved my life when I was flying alone with the kids over Christmas break and we were stuck at the airport for two days. We must have played 100 rounds of this, and noone got tired of it. They still wanted to play more when we were safely at Grandmas house.

I have been playing this game since I was little. We would play it on camping trips or just at the house. It hasn’t changed at all. Very simple rules but great fun trying to master and each time you play it I feel is a different winner, unless I’m playing.

Weve gotten so much use out of this card game. Have had it for at least 2 years now and it travels with us to restaurants and on vacations. Kids are 9 and 7 and we are still having fun with it.

It"s never too early to develop a good poker face. With Rat-a-Tat Cat, a poker face is just one of the skills players need to perfect. As in poker, luck, skill, strategy, and intuition each play a part. Players are dealt four cards, which are kept face- down, except for a quick peek at two of them. Each player in turn pulls a card from the draw pile to replace one of the four. Memory is important, as the object is to end with the lowest score, and players must keep track of the values on their four cards. "Peek," "Swap," and "Draw Two" Power cards turn up occasionally, allowing players to maneuver and strategize further. Delightfully witty pictures of cats (the good guys--low points) and rats (bad guys--high points) illustrate each of the 54 cards. Young card sharks will develop a sense of timing and greater ease with numbers, and can begin to grasp the concept of probability. Winner of Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Best Toy Award and the 1996 Mensa Best New Mind Game. For 2 to 6 players. --Emilie Coulter
