This device sounded great, the perfect answer for what I was looking for. I was going to be on an 11-day trip through the Adirondacks and I wanted to send daily check-ins to my wife to make sure she knows Im doing OK. Lets start with the two claims I have seen online & in manual - up to 20 days battery life with power saving mode - which I can only assume is either (1) logging at the max of 4 hour intervals or (2) simply being turned on, because there is no such setting. Perfect!

Excellent device, tracked my motorcycle ride to Alaska and back without a hitch. Allowed me to communicate via text and email during times when others couldnt because of a lack of cellular service. Highly recommended and provides great piece of mind.

Based on my experience Ill separate this review into two parts, the device and Garmins reliability in receiving messages from Iridium.

Very good cost utility ratio. Garmin good to deal with. Plans affordable.

Nice device but the kicker is that you can’t do anything with it unless you get one of there pricey monthly subscriptions. Kind of overkill if you only need it for a week tops at a time.

Très compact, à lair bien costaud mais connexion Bluetooth marche pas! Et logiciel pour programmer les appels impossible à utiliser.. plate-forme garmin na pas résolu le problème..

I LOVE IT. I go off roading a lot where there is no service and this device is everything.

I used this during long-distance sail trips to communicate with my wife. I did have some difficulty getting and keeping it paired to my iPad, but eventually worked it out. Other than that, the device has worked flawlessly.
