Great device. I use this with Garmin 64ST and love it. Didn’t like the (lack of) GPS function on the InReach explorer and decided to go with two devices instead

I used it for a week, then the battery stopped charging. Now I own a $330 paperweight. Unbelievable. This is supposed to be a life saving SOS device, what a joke.

Light weight, durable and didnt have any problem when it got covered in mud on my first outing with it.

Ive had this Garmin Mini for 2 years, and have used it on several trips for remote communication. Now the unit will not even charge or turn on. Failure after 2 years is not acceptable given the cost and, more importantly, is a non-starter for a device that may be needed for life-threatening situations. Garmins replacement offer for a high cost seems hardly the right solution for a defective unit and one that, based on experience, may fail again....

I purchased the Garmin Mini InReach to replace a competitor’s product that in this review shall be called Sx. Sx did not perform well in ‘suburban’ testing over three days and never made it to field tests. I had been a user of the Sx’s previous generation of products for over a decade, so I am somewhat well versed in the abilities of it’s system. The InReach Mini exceeded those benchmarks in every way. The InReach Mini passed the same suburban tests without issue in a few hours, moved to field tests where it performed flawlessly and is now just part of the normal gear.

Took a little time to set it up but after it does everything its supposed to. Great safety device to take along on hiking and motorcycle trips.

They offer 2 plan choices at 3 levels.

Sure helped us on the mountain bike paths up in Copper Harbor, MI. Will be using on future boundary waters trips. It does what it does and the texting is very convenient.
