This thing is amazing and works anywhere on the ocean from The middle of Alaska and Bristol bay to offshore in the pacific. Amazing piece of equipment!

This product was my “big”gift to my husband.

Excellent device, tracked my motorcycle ride to Alaska and back without a hitch. Allowed me to communicate via text and email during times when others couldnt because of a lack of cellular service. Highly recommended and provides great piece of mind.

Perfect when you are out of cell phone signal and have a emergency. The battery lasts a long time.

The Inreach Mini is smaller and lighter than the Spot messenger but is poorly designed and programmed. It is very complicated to used and you are never sure what you have done when you change something. The Garmin web site is also poorly programmed and is full of bugs. I have not been able to change anything for days. I can send the device back to Amazon and get my money back for that, but Im having trouble finding out how to get my money back for the service. How do I know this thing would work in and emergency? Its clear Garmin was not ready to put this thing on the market but did it anyway.

What an awesome product! I had been hesitant for some time about making the purchase, but now that I own the Garmin In-Reach, I am very pleased. Literally every place I go hiking is remote and has zero cell reception.

I only did 3 traces so far. On the second day of use, my family could not see my location online. I do not know what happened but MapShare did not work correctly. As it was test, I still have to use other times to feel safe with the InReach Mini. I thought it would be more intuitive to use, too many features and little instruction of use by the manufacturer.

Sure helped us on the mountain bike paths up in Copper Harbor, MI. Will be using on future boundary waters trips. It does what it does and the texting is very convenient.
