Working Nicely.

This newer design has a recessed eye that helps blocks sunlight from hitting the sensor, and most likely gives a more powerful signal. I also moved both sensors back 6 inches to block light. Install was easy.

Arrived early, installed easily, performs smoothly. The safety beams performed as expected and the price was excellent. I am very happy.

Easy to install

We purchased a home with a Genie opener but somehow they skipped putting these in. Installed with instructions and worked well the first time. Worth it for the peace of mind for the safety of pets and kids.

Took longer than expected to install them but I got them installed. Fairly easy instructions to follow.

I kept having trouble with the door not moving when sun would hit the old sensors. I tried everything from re-positioning to shades to cleaning nothing worked. I bought these and installed them in just a few minutes and Ive never had an issue since! Having trouble with the sun? Get these!

Half the price the local garage door company wanted to charge for the part. Took less than ten minutes to install.(I did not need the wires that were sent.)

My old pairs missing one from the door. When I installed one from the new package, its paired with the old existing sensor, so I dont need to install both and simplified the process.

These universal garage door replacement sensors ultimately worked, but they were tricky to install. When I pointed them directly at each other, they didnt work. I was ready to return them, but first I tried experimenting with different orientations. I found that one of the sensors needed to be about 15 degrees off axis before it would work. After that unexpected adjustment they worked perfectly. Much cheaper than calling a garage door repair company.
