> 24 hourReceived new with 0 hours on it. I use this primarily for storage and Macrium Reflect image backups (because Windows built-in version is buggy and too strict). It has great transfer speeds, especially since it has a nice amount of Cache, which is just as helpful for transfer speeds for USB 3.0! Id recommend to a friend that wants steady drive

> 24 hourAs far as I can tell using tests, the HDD I received is new and is working great. A deal for the price I paid at $60.

> 24 hourI got this 25 days ago and its been on for about 200 hours since then. I read the other guys review saying it was used when he got it, so I wanted to see for myself. I just checked its disk history, and sure enough, its been on for 13368 hours, or 557 days. Definitely not new. Its working fine, but its going to have a shorter life than a new one.

> 24 hourThis drive was shipped promptly by USPS Priority Mail in two days, beating the deadline by several days and outstripping Amazons delivery of products ordered at the same time by three days. It was simply packed in bubble wrap and a USPS small box but it was in good condition and works fine. It was in a standard sealed anti-static OEM wrapper and appears to be new, not refurbished. I installed it in a PC I use for video editing which is not connected to the Internet and runs XP SP2. The interface is original SATA 1.5 GBs. In spite of the ancient technology it installed easily and shows disc-to-disc transfer rates of about 60 MB/s. Slow, but no doubt limited by the transfer rate of the older drive. I am so impressed I am about to order another.

> 24 hourThe drive was recognized by BIOS at lease, but got the warning at the BIOS screen. Hard disk failure is imminent. Please, backup up your hard drive and have it replaced ! I ordered the replacement with the same drive and hope that I have better luck with the replacement. Anyway, dont choose to chat with a tech during return process. I had the worst experience this time.

> 24 hourProduct Comments: Product itself is high quality, sequential write for empty disk tops out at 150+MB/s at the outside down to about 115MB/s at the inside of the spindles. The disk is an enterprise drive and has no Acoustic Management; when you have random read/writes the heads repositioning is noticeably audible. Seller Comments: Seller - goHardDrive All interaction with the seller was excellent, however: Drives have 1 year _Vendor_ warranty. Checking the serial at HGST yields a response to contact the vendor, ie. no manufacturer warranty. Both drives I received had previous SMART self tests at 8000-9000 hours, yet drive reports 0 hours of service. All other SMART data was clear leading me to wonder these drives have been previously used and cleared by TTL command. Single drives from seller come in small USPS Priority Mail box with double layer of bubble wrap and sealed anti-static bag, this is a bit sparse on padding. First drive I received failed after 11 hours of burn-in testing -wonder if shipping was to blame. Seller did respond promptly for RMA; offered pre-paid return shipping and full refund (or optional replacement). Replacement drive passed burn-in without trouble and is currently in duty.
