SO FAR SO GOOD VARY PLEASED WITH IT I HOPE IT LASTS A LONG LONG TIME I HAVE HAD TERRIBLE AWFUL TIME WITH MY TWO SEAGATE DRIVES A NEW WESTERN DIGITAL FROM INFINITY BROKEN USELESS AFTER 5 DAYS A BRAND NEW TOSHIBA 2TB WITH A SOFTWARE CRASH AFTER 3 DAYS LOST OVER 500 GB OF MY FAVORITE THINGS A TOTAL NIGHTMARE TRYING TO RECOVER THEM WAS ONLY ABLE TO RECOVER SOME OF MY JPEGS PHOTOS I RETURNED IT TO STAPLES,,HITACH ONLINE REVIEWS I READ WERE GOOD ITS BEEN RUNNING EVERY DAY ALMOST ALL DAY LONG FOR NEARLY HAFT A YEAR NOW

If you are building on a budget, avoid these drives! It worked fine for about a month then failed. Luckily it lasted enough totransfer the data to a WD drive. Will never buy low cost, high capacity drives again! IF YOU WILL BE STORING IMPORTANT DATA ON A DRIVE, DONT GO CHEAP

The best company I have dealt with in the past year. Great customer service but not only that the Hard drives are simply Magnificent !!! I dont have anything bad to say about them, I purchase 6 of them ....... they were priced right and they are fantastic !!!

Runs as advertised. Plugged it in as a replacemment on my Raid 10 IDE cluster. No issues at all. Hitachi drives seem to be outlasting my Western Digital Drives. They just work.
