Interesting to know after two months. I sent it to another country for her so it was difficult for me to bring it back in time for a return due to COVID.

> 24 hourJust wanted to drop a review here saying its super simple to add another 8gb of ram to this notebook. HP provides helpful repair videos on youtube for the DY-1000 series of notebooks that show you how to replace a ram module. If you notice on the video, theres a second, completely empty ram slot beside the one with the 8gb stick that comes from the factory. This laptop supports 16gb of ram (2x8gb sticks), per the support manual from HPs own website. Caution, if you somehow mess it up your warranty may be voided. HP does not recommend you do any sort of upgrades or repairs on this notebook. But, if you want 16gb of ram (and you do) its very easy to upgrade.

> 24 hourI love how light this laptop is and its so thin! Super fast also. They only things I would like to have had in hindsight is a lighted keyboard, but other than that its a great laptop. The fan is a little loud sometimes, but not all the time.

> 24 hourThis computer is a real disappointment! I returned it the same day. It shutdown itself without any warning. the images are dull, is not bright at all. Its a waste of money. I returned it since 5 days and till now no acknowledge receipt, no response while they already took the money from my account.

> 24 hourHave been a customer of HP products for over 20 years. No complaints on any HP products I have purchased from computers, printers and ink/toner. Have always had a positive experience. Cannot rate battery life as I have only used this computer while it is plugged into the outlet.. I would definitely rate this Laptop superior to the Lenovo it replaced.

> 24 hourDo not buy any products for Christmas were your return window is limited. This product was not opened until Dec 25th and was minimally used until the semester started the 2nd week of January. Now, 11 days past the return date, the battery is not working (does not last past 1 hour) and the computer keeps freeqing during exams and usage..... AMAZON CHAT WAS HORRIBLE..... no help at all. Will never buy anything electronic through amazon, nor will I buy anything other than books and then I may switch to Chegg..... This has been terrible......

> 24 hourThis product is defected this is my second I just received today and same issue upload speed to slow the first time hp did not want to do anything until I involved Amazon then took over a week of test to find out what I have explained to them was not working so amazon sent me a new one even that it past the 30 guaranteed then I test this one and same problem I call hp spent another 3 hrs waisted my time to tell me again that it is defected they can pick this up and send me a refurbished one I said no and sent it back to Amazon so be careful and test it right away otherwise you will have a hard time for hp to help you thanks to Amazon I was able to get my money back
