HP 15-dy1036nr 10th Gen Intel Core i5-1035G1, 15.6-Inch FHD Laptop, Natural Silver

Loving this new laptop...I had a previous version of HP laptop also. I love the reliability of the machines, the ease of use and the speed. Super purchase. My only negative comment would be that I waited too long to replace my old machine. Thanks HP, keep up the great work of putting out top-of-the-line equipment.

Have been a customer of HP products for over 20 years. No complaints on any HP products I have purchased from computers, printers and ink/toner. Have always had a positive experience. Cannot rate battery life as I have only used this computer while it is plugged into the outlet.. I would definitely rate this Laptop superior to the Lenovo it replaced.

What a piece of crap. The hard drive already went and I had to spend another 300 to get it fixed. Not happy at all

I currently own a MacBook that I have been using for Web Development and graphic Design. At times I will be comparing my experience between my currently MacBook which has some age on it, its from 2016 and still running strong and this laptop.

I ordered a HP 15-1036, what they sent me was a HP 15 -1059MS. Which I guess was an upgrade being that I had more ram and a touchscreen. More ram was great, and I guess the touchscreen was good too but being that I’m clumsy I would tend to touch the screen while using this keyboard which would mess things up, Which is no big deal being that’s not HP’s fault. I had had the computer only for five months when it went belly up and stop working. I had a bios update recently but the computer just stopped working. The Caplock LED kept flashing a code, three long flashes and too short. I called phone support, and honestly they were great but they were not able to resolve my problems. The phone support suspect that my issues might have been Bios related. So I was forced to send it in for warranty work. Now I have to wait 2 to 3 months for turnaround time, which is frustrating because I recently had a stroke and I depended on the computer for paying bills and ordering meds. I also depending on that machine for music and entertainment being that I was forced to retire. Anyways it’s frustrating to be without my computer. I must say however that the screen and the picture on the screen was superior to anything I’ve ever owned. I really enjoyed the computer but I’m not happy that it went belly up after only five months I don’t know if it was Microsoft for faulty bios, or equipment failure on HP end. I expected much more out of HP honestly and I’m very frustrated.

at $600 I couldnt ask for more. Great video, great sound, easy to set up and use. Initially there were many programs that I didnt want and would never use that I deleted (easy to delete in settings). Sound and video are excellent for virtual meetings. Adjust sound and video you your needs (in Serrings). Ive read some of the complaints about this laptop crashing, etc. My advice would be to just reboot, update all software (Settings > System), and be patient. Ive read that you can turn this laptop into a touchscreen notebook, but I prefer using a mouse over touchscreen. Excellent laptop that I recommend.

This laptop arrived on May 7/2020. It arrived a day earlier than expected in good condition and without any damage. The battery takes 100% charge in 1 hour and 55 minutes. After charging the battery lasted 5 hours between videos on YouTube and browsing the web .. The screen resolution looks very good. Image quality very good. It takes 8 seconds to turn on. The screen is not touch. The keyboard is not illuminated. The fan is silent when used with the battery When it is connected to the power the fan is heard a little but its sound is not annoying. It is very light. Its measurements are 14 1/8 inch x 9 1/2 inch. Today I have 10 days with this Laptop and so far I am very happy with it.good investment.when I have more time with this laptop I will come back and make another review.

The 15-dy1036nr is a good laptop at a good price. I think it provides a lot of value. The laptop has an Intel i5 10th gen processor with 4 cores and 8 logical processors. The 10th generation processors include AVX512, which is an impressive instruction set architecture. AVX512 was the reason we purchased the laptop.

This item is very glitchy. The screen turns off and on and flashes off and on while you are using it. Very disappointed but i need it for school and have scholl work to do so i am trying to get through it.

I must say, I was very skeptical, buying this laptop, after reading the reviews. I needed a laptop for college, and looked all over amazon trying to find one. Despite the bad reviews, I bought this.. Its very good. My daughters school sent her a HP probook, and this HP laptop is just as good as hers. The only thing, that other reviews said, is then fan is a little noisy, but not to bad. Other than that, this was a great purchase. Thank you.
