HP 15-dy1036nr 10th Gen Intel Core i5-1035G1, 15.6-Inch FHD Laptop, Natural Silver

I was in the market for a laptop that‘s powerful enough to handle the workload of my e-commerce business and light enough to take everywhere. A very long search with so many overwhelming options to choose from. My reasoning for selecting this laptop was based on the good reviews and price was exactly in my budget. Here’s my buying experience: Shipping was very quick arriving a day before scheduled. Box is a standard brown box with an HP logo on the side. Comes with a relatively long charging cable, setup pamphlet, and the laptop as listed. Setup was easy. Windows 10 walks you through step by step. The screen has good color for the price and the edges are thin. It’s not a touchscreen which I personally love. Speakers are better than my previous laptop. Comes with a good quality webcam. I’ve been using zoom to conference and the microphone picks up my voice from anywhere in the room. Outside of work, my son has been using it for online gaming. Only complaint is the fan gets a bit loud under heavy use. The positive, it stays cool and powers through whatever I throw at it. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase and would recommend to anyone looking for a great value laptop perfect for emails, streaming, Microsoft office, zoom, and light gaming for the kids.

I bought this laptop to be solely used as a WFH machine and so far it has not disappointed. Price was a major consideration in my purchase and at $575 I believe you get a lot of value for the buck. This machine is a work horse and the performance is very fast and stable. The keyboard and trackpad are surprisingly decent to use (keyboard not backlit). If speakers are a consideration in your purchase the speakers on this laptop are actually pretty good and the volume is quite loud without getting tinny. Ive read some complaints on the noise of the fan but honestly I think the noise is very low and it runs constantly while Im working and it hasnt bothered me at all. I usually have the laptop plugged in during work so I dont know how long the battery lasts during heavy use. However, the battery seems to drain 10-15% every night while in sleep mode which seems excessive. The only knock I have against the laptop is the display color is not as vibrant as I would like. Its a bit washed out. Its perfectly fine for use with all of my work apps but would be annoying if I was doing a lot of video streaming. Overall, this is a great machine and checks all the boxes I needed for a reliable laptop for work.

It was sleek, power efficient and very useful for college. The fan was really loud when it overheated though.
