HP 15-dy1036nr 10th Gen Intel Core i5-1035G1, 15.6-Inch FHD Laptop, Natural Silver

This laptop only has two USB ports not 3 as stated. Would have been a deal breaker if I had known that.

I did notice the poor screen quality and didnt care about the lack of an ethernet port until, of course, the wi-fi would not work. Suddenly, the Wi-Fi stopped working or detecting any networks. I spent hours and hours trying to repair this little useless laptop, finally hooking it up to a router(after purchasing an adapter as it has no port) seemed to establish new network adapter drivers, only to have the same thing happen again and this time, was not able to resolve it again. No way to download or try to update or fix it online without hooking up directly to the router and then it corrupted a second time, and unsolvable.

Laptop has continually disconnected from WiFi since being turned on. My wife spent 2 hours on the phone with HP to resolve the issue, which is a problem with HP laptops. Issue was not resolved by HP!!!!! Dont wasted your money, and more importantly your time!

I strongly urge no one to purchase this product after 45 days after purchase there was a technical issue with the computer and no warranty so I had to pay HP over 45$ to fix something that was not my fault.Sad for Amazon to allow this to happen.

Update 2020-07-30: This computer features two USB 3 ports on the left hand side. When a Logitech mouse and a Toshiba disk drive are connected to these ports at the same time, one of them becomes intermittent. Usually its the mouse, but today it was the disk drive. At this time the computer is plugged in and charging. I cannot recommend this computer for any application.

This laptop has no CD/DVD, and has no ethernet port, and doesnt have a keyboard backlight.

Great computer and for the price point an excellent buy. I’ve owned the same laptop for 9 years and was reluctant to stray away from the “brand” I had but HP makes a great laptop

Do not buy any products for Christmas were your return window is limited. This product was not opened until Dec 25th and was minimally used until the semester started the 2nd week of January. Now, 11 days past the return date, the battery is not working (does not last past 1 hour) and the computer keeps freeqing during exams and usage..... AMAZON CHAT WAS HORRIBLE..... no help at all. Will never buy anything electronic through amazon, nor will I buy anything other than books and then I may switch to Chegg..... This has been terrible......

This arrived today. I had high hopes. I’m typically a Mac user, but I need a PC for work. Given the reviews, I figured this would fit the bill.

I debated on this one or a lenovo with similar specs but then this one came down in price by $80 overnight. I am very happy with it. Its not my main computer but it works well for everything I have needed which is primarily data work in websites, remote access to support several client computers and some paint.net image manipulations. Its been fast for what I ask it to do. SSD is superfast and boots up in 10 seconds. The power cord port seems a little flimsy. Its in the back left side corner. I have to be aware not to hit it on anything. I hope longterm it is not a problem - I can be tough on laptops. Battery life is good.
