This printer eats ink like crazy! I occassionally print pages off the web, and Im changing the cartridges more than once a month. I would guess Im getting 50-70 pages per cartridge. Its very disappointing. I cant afford to print anything! Im going to try something I never thought I would - refilled ink cartridges! Otherwise, I would be satisfied with the printer. It scans well, prints well. Ive had no trouble with compatibility (Win XP) as others here report. Ill count my blessings on that! But next time, Ill buy another brand.

This printer absolutely refuses to operate with any consistency. It either pulls a dozen sheets of paper from the tray and clogs itself up, or only one sheet about halfway, clogging itself again. Even babying it, trying to feed it one sheet at a time proves to be an exercise in frustration. I have never seen such a shoddy piece of equipment, and regret having purchased it. Other than that, it makes a great paperweight.

Well Ive had this printer for close to a year and right now I am not able to copy or scan. When I tried to scan, it would give me a black square I guess the mirror inside was damaged or what not. The printer still works fine for printing out papers but after a few months the other components went out. The good thing about it is the ink is a lot cheaper than most printers

I bought this printer less than 2 years ago, the ink is affordable, the copies and pics come out nice, the major downfall, is the printer just broke and its only 1 1/2 years old....something happened internally with the print cartridge cradle (no error on my part) and now its broken. I wish i read these reviews b4 buying this.

In addition to all the test pages it prints out, it rarely catches the paper in the paper tray and it eats ink like its going out of style. It was an inexpensive printer/scanner/copier when I bought it and it has held up over these past few years, but its not the most elegant, easy to use machine ever made. Once it dies, I will be much more diligent in my printer/scanner/copier buying to avoid making the same mistake.

had the 1315 before that. had more options in terms of format of saved scans. could have been nice to have an SD. CF reader built-in as well as a faster loading software.

I wish Id had the chance to read these reviews before purchasing this printer... The first printer I purchased jammed right away, and evidently I messed up something when I cleared the jam because it squeaked incredibly after that. I almost immediately started running into issues with the paper jamming every time/paper not pulling through or, if I got lucky, pulling several pages through at once so the type ended up misaligned. I saw another one at a garage sale and thought I could start fresh. Even though it was in great, like new condition, it started having jamming issues shortly after I started using it as well. About the only way to coax the paper on through was to lift up the front edge of the paper as the printer tried to pull it in and give it slight pressure to help the printer grab the paper. For mutiple page documents or several copies, babysitting the printer like this is a tedious and insane. I really have better things to do with my time. I hate to stop using it since I have several ink cartridges to use up (which, by the way, do get used up fairly quickly). But Im not looking forward to printing 100 Christmas letters and standing by the printer all day to babysit. I used to believe that HP was the gold standard when it came to printers. Now they must be more concerned with quantity vs. quality. I give it 2 stars only because when it does print, the quality is nice.

I really am happy with this all in one printer. I like that I have one machine that prints, copies and scans. The printing and copying goes rather quickly, the scanning is a little slower but still goes at at pretty good pace. I feel that my ink wore out quicker than my last printer, but maybe thats just me.
