> 3 daywhen it works its pretty good, but the paper is constantly getting jammed, and the scanner frequently only scans part of the page. After a few months of using it, I found it helpful to load the paper one page at a time, I know it sounds like that would be a pain to do, but actually its easier to put the paper in one page at a time, than to deal with the constant paper jams or the printer not being able to reconize that it has paper already loaded

> 3 dayAll printers Ive owed have been Hp.I was going to switch this time ,but a friend bought this model and said it worked fine.Well it jams all the time,if the power goes off it prints a new alignment page wasting ink and paper. My last HP was fairly expensive and it only lasted a year, when I get the money Ill upgrade from this cheap piece of junk.

> 3 dayI have had this printer for a year. I dont print very often. Of all the pages I have printed on this printer, I would say that 40% were alignment sheets. It prints this page every time I turn the damn thing on. There is no way to turn this printing off - and of course these sheets are printed in color! The cartridges are expensive ($45 for a color and Black combo with only 5ml of ink) I have spent way too much on the ink. It would have been more cost effective to print at kinkos. The software that came with this was too bloated and was rarely used. This was my first experience with an HP product and surely my last.

> 3 dayIf you still want to go with HP, at least get the smaller deskjet version where youll save a lot of time and money. I have so many problems with this model. a) I cant print when I want to, because theres always some software issue. b) The ink spills out, and if the software cant read my ink level, I cant print at all. c) Even after putting in a new ink-cartridge, the printer would print couple of pages thereafter, and returning back to the no ink cartridge problem. d) If you trying to fix the ink level, the printer will keep printing align pages automatically, thus wasting your ink and papers. Seriously, dont buy this junk. Save yourself the agony and time by looking for other reliable all-in-one printers--preferably not an HP model.

> 3 dayI wish Id had the chance to read these reviews before purchasing this printer... The first printer I purchased jammed right away, and evidently I messed up something when I cleared the jam because it squeaked incredibly after that. I almost immediately started running into issues with the paper jamming every time/paper not pulling through or, if I got lucky, pulling several pages through at once so the type ended up misaligned. I saw another one at a garage sale and thought I could start fresh. Even though it was in great, like new condition, it started having jamming issues shortly after I started using it as well. About the only way to coax the paper on through was to lift up the front edge of the paper as the printer tried to pull it in and give it slight pressure to help the printer grab the paper. For mutiple page documents or several copies, babysitting the printer like this is a tedious and insane. I really have better things to do with my time. I hate to stop using it since I have several ink cartridges to use up (which, by the way, do get used up fairly quickly). But Im not looking forward to printing 100 Christmas letters and standing by the printer all day to babysit. I used to believe that HP was the gold standard when it came to printers. Now they must be more concerned with quantity vs. quality. I give it 2 stars only because when it does print, the quality is nice.

> 3 dayIve had this printer for about a year and a half and I can honestly say this is the worst printer I have ever used. Sure the quality of the printing is fine if you can actually get it to print. The first printer I had printed fine but whenever I scanned anything there was a huge 1-2 black line down the side of the page. I talked to the service people online who were helpful but they couldnt do anything to fix it so they sent me a new one and I sent the one I had back. The new printer worked fine for a little while. It ran out of ink so fast I thought maybe the jets were clogged or something. I didnt even use it that often, maybe 10-20 pages a month, if that. After about a month or two with the second printer it wouldnt feed the paper anymore. No, I wasnt using anything special, just normal 8 1/2 x 11 standard printer paper. If I wanted to print something Id have to sit there and try to manually feed each sheet which inevitably took at least 2 tries per page. I couldnt turn off the printer either, well unless I wanted to print yet another test page. I also couldnt get it to stop doing this. The most frustrating part is that Id finally get the dang thing to print only to have the ink run out again. Ive resorted to just handwriting stuff that I need off the computer lately because its faster and less aggravating that trying to get this piece of junk to work. Why dont I send this one back too? Well, because I dont use this thing very often and the warranty doesnt last that long, Im not paying for a third crappy printer that they are likely to send. Im just going to cut my losses at this point and buy a new one... NOT HP!

Greater than one weekDont buy this machine. My husband and I have been loyal HP printer customer for years. Only reason I bought a new one was because my new computer only accepts USB and my old HP printer was a parrallel port (thats how long my old HP has been working perfectly, and still is; gave to a friend). I purchased the HP PSC 1510 for my home office thinking adding copy and scanning capabilites would be nice conveniences. Im on my second one and its now doing the same thing: doesnt feed paper(regardless of what kind you use to try and please it) no customer service at Help button-links to sales web site no customer service assistance on phone Ink cartridges VERY small....replace constantly and they are expensive Does HP make a decent model under $200 anymore? Im returning this one too. Takes up my whole day fiddling with it. Dont need a fax. Just color printer, occasional copies, and scanner. Shame on HP. [email protected]

> 3 dayBoth are great units. 1510 has an upgraded scan resolution, BUT the ink cartridge volumes are larger in the 1310 (twice ±!). Check it out. Software works great, including the OCR. I switched from Epson CX6600 (also a great all-in-one) as the ink nozzles are replaced with a new cartridge in the HP, whereas the Epson nozzles are built in to the print head, and when they become clogged it is a $$$ shop repair. Mac OSX 10.4.2

> 3 dayI bought this because i also had a 1000 series all-in-one a few years back and it worked great back in those days. Sadly this printer does not live up to its predecessors... like... not even close. Although printing speed is faster and the quality standard, its harder to use because the software is slow with confusing interface and takes up alot of memory for simple tasks. but the worst part is that, the paper wont even feed. and if it does it jams or takes a couple of paper in at the same time and prints all over them. each time i had to keep pressing resume about twice. never again with HP... im dissapointed. something so simple became so hard

> 3 dayThis printer was an excellent buy. I was replacing an older HP printer so I had the Power supply and cord. I did not need the manual. The price reflected not having the power cord or manual. Very Happy with purchase.
