> 3 dayThis is my second - and last - HP printer. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER. All of the other reviews mentioning paper feed issues are entirely true. You should also Google the phrase flashing lights PSC1510 if you want to read about another common problem. HP claims to have several fixes for these issues, but they always come down to bring your printer to an HP repair facility. Another review said it perfectly: HP has decided to put its efforts into selling ink cartridges rather than quality printers. HP used to be a mark of quality in my family; now its just another cheap, unreliable manufacturer. I have to imagine that the offices at HP use Brother or Kodak printers if they want to get any work done.

> 3 dayIll start by saying that before I bought this printer I worked at Circuit City in the technology department and sold a lot of printers. A lot of the complaints I have read in the reviews section were complaints that I head about almost every single model I sold at the time. Point is printers have sunk to the point of being considered disposable technology by the manufacturers and they build them so cheap and sell them cheap just to make it up on ink sales. In the reviews there are a lot of people with paper feeding problems but in over 17 months of use I only occassionally have a paper feed problem and thats just 2 pages at a time. I print about 200 pages a week so it sees a lot of use. We do use high quality 20-40 weight paper designed for use in inkjets instead of the more generic copier paper that, in my experience, most people prefer to use. Like most printers these days it does eat ink cartridges, even using ink conservation settings I go through a cartridge about every 200 or so pages. We bought the printer because it had decent speed and fit in the space and provided the asthetics that we wanted. As for its photo performance I cant comment on that, I just use the printer for printing text doccuments as I have a professional inkjet photo printer for my high quality image printing.

Greater than one weekTHIS IS THE WORST PRINTER EVER!!!! This printer has caused me the most frustration in my LIFE!! Here is a list i typed up 1) The god d$%^ paper NEVER feeds right. 2) Every time you turn it on it prints a test page. 3) It says Im out of paper when there is 30+ sheets of paper in the d$%^ feeder. 4) Eats ink like god knows what.. 5) Almost jams 75% of the time. ^) And MUCH MUCH More.. After spending about 20+ hours i got it to feed right ONCE!!! If you want a nice big paperweight then buy this if you want a printer dont buy a f$%^ing HP..

22-11-2024Id first hoped to use this as both a copier and a scanner, but within weeks the paper feeder stopped working. Sometimes if I gave it one sheet at a time... but Im not that patient. But, I thought, at least its an okay scanner. I dont often need a scanner and I dont really care about quality (Im just scanning handwritten notes), so I was pleased... until this afternoon, when it started placing a dark streak down every page. No one can see anything obviously wrong with it; its not like I spilled something or dropped it. Im really unhappy with this.

> 3 dayYou will face two expensive choices if you do: (1) letting it print a test page everytime you turn it on, using up paper and expensive ink, OR (2) leaving it turned on the rest of your life and running up your electricity bill. Frankly, these machines are an environmental disaster and HP should have been forced to recall them. Thousands and thousands of complaints about this problem on the internet.

> 3 dayListed and advertised as new, but was marred and the ink cartridge area was splashed with ink. Clearly not as promoted. Received an e-mail from seller for a $ 30.00 refund as she realized it was NOT new. Seller agreed to accept return, refund the cost plus pay for shipping. It was shipped April 14, and I have not yet received refund. This certainly soured my experience with shopping online! Sincerely, Caroline M.Klebenow

> 3 dayI purchased this reconditioned HP PSC 1510 printer to replace the same model which had died. I wanted to stick with something I knew, with reasonably priced cartridges and decent print quality. The printer worked fine right out of the box and has been working fine for a few months now. My last model was a bit noisy and so is this one, but it does everything its suppose to do (scan/copy/print).

> 3 dayAt first the unit was temperamental and would not work well the ink cartridges. After a couple of days and some cleaning, it starting working well and printing well. I had purchased this used because, I still had several refurbished cartridges to use and go thru a lot of them printing. This is my 3rd PSC 1510 printer. The newer printers and cartridges would be a lot more expensive to use. I have not bought a new cartridge in years. If you buy in large quantities you can get refurbished ink for about $7 each, about 1/4 of the new cartridge cost and they work the same. Not all refurbish manufacturers are the same; some are much better than others. I do know that this unit will hit end of life soon and the cartridges will eventually not be available. But for 10 years or more,it has been very economical and works great.

> 3 dayThis printer worked just fine for one week. Then the paper jams began. HPs technical support person could only suggest that I clean the printer with a damp rag! The printers performance continued to deteriorate, with frequent paper jams and incorrect out of paper messages. Also, the printer could not print labels properly -- they were always misaligned and unusable. After a month, the printer stopped working completely as it became completely unable to recognize that there was paper in the paper tray. I called HP and they demanded a credit card number as collateral before they would honor the warranty. Needless to say, this is the last HP product I will ever purchase.

22-11-2024Everyone else has had the same experience I have...just wish Id looked at the reviews first. The print cartridge is empty after printing 30 pages of light text; you have to hand-feed each page several times before it will take and the Alignment window pops up constantly. This is my first and last experience with HP printers. I called to complain and was offered a replacement for $135. No, thanks. Its back to reliable Canons for me.
