Greater than one weekThe instruction manual is very hard to understand, obviously written by people for whom English is a second language. But, once you get past that, it works beautifully and seems very accurate. The display is very easy to read.

> 3 dayI use it to maintain humidity levels at 95% in a mushroom fruiting tent. Its a game changer. Previously I had used a number of humidity meters made by other companies. All of them malfunctioned at high humidity levels. The inkbird maintained 95% levels well. I realized that that could be done without condensation in the tent.

> 3 dayWe bought this to control the humidity in a room where we store our guitars. The ability to set a custom range allows us to adequately control the humidity without constantly cycling the humidifier for short durations. I really like the remote sensor - so the control unit can be out of view while the sensor is up near the instruments. I dont want to monitor humidity down on the floor where the switch is, or across the room where the humidifier sits. I only care what it is by the instruments. I never write reviews, but am really happy with this cost-effective unit.

> 3 dayBall pythons need a decently high humidity, but nothing insane like a chameleon. We use a glass terrarium with some vent holes, so keeping the desired humidity was a daily struggle. After a quick setup, this now keeps his terrarium at the perfect humidity levels. The directions seemed vague and confusing at first. But we did not need most of the settings and then realized we just needed to set basic humidity levels.

> 3 dayI use this to control the humidity in my snake tank after my girlfriend accidentally set the humidity too high and I came home to a very wet tank!! :O The accuracy seems very good as I have 3 other humidity sensors in the tank and the read almost exactly what this device reads. I only use it to turn on and off the humidifier, and I do not have a dehumidifier device attached. It works great. I expect that this device will cause the life of my humidifier to be significantly less because it is turning on and off, BUT this is expected with electronics. The more you turn on and off things, the less life they have. None the less, my snakes health is most important so I love this so I know her humidity is perfect. I will update if the product dies but so far it is running great!

> 3 dayI paired this device with the Inkbird humidifier to provide humidity for a reptile enclosure. I found it relatively easy to program... honestly, I just fiddled with it until I figured it out because the instructions didnt make much sense to me, but it wasnt hard to figure out. It worked very well for the first 8 months. Then it just randomly stopped turning off the humidifier when the enclosure had reached the programmed humidity. Unplugging the hygrostat and plugging it back in worked for a while, but it slowly started failing more and more, until it literally did nothing besides measuring the RH in the enclosure (which it did accurately unto the end) and running the humidifier constantly. I am still using the Inkbird humidifier. Still works great (using filtered/distilled water) with a monthly cleaning almost a year and a half after setting it up. This hygrostat, however, was a disappointment. Spend a little more to get something better, imo.
