For years Ive been disgruntled at purchased de-humidifiers and their lousy humidity control. The sensors in these products are sloppy at best and often fail over time. The key to this controllers effectiveness is the very accurate sensor itself, the rest is just common sense digital control. The available options and settings for controlling the dehumidifier are top shelf! This also works with humidifiers so am looking forward to doing some testing this winter. I FINALLY know exactly what the humidity level is in my basement and rest assured my power consumption to maintain my desired humidity is minimized. (you can even calibrate this controller if you have a known good dry bulb kit or similar) Yes, the set-up is somewhat confusing, but if you have a basic understanding of humidity and hysteresis settings, its a breeze, and easily adjustable at any time you desire. For the price, this is an amazing control, and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting better humidity control in any environment. Ive had it running for a month now 24/7 with no problems.

If you’re here because you saw willy myco setting up a 5x5 tent, I URGE you to join a cultivation group and get real advice on how to set up a grow tent before you waste $600 dollars and weeks of your time. The problem with this sensor is that the plastic casing of the sensor allows moisture to bead up on its surface and stay there, falsely giving you a reading for near 90% humidity or even above. It’s not an easy fix because the only thing I’ve found to try and correct this issue is wiping the sensor casing down with a dry, sterilized towel twice a day. That’s really tedious considering everything else about my setup is fully automated and controlled from my iPhone. The fact that the sensor controls when the fogger comes on or cuts off is really the only reason to try to figure out a way to jerry rig this product, but as is it’s not really functional.

I use this to control the humidity in my snake tank after my girlfriend accidentally set the humidity too high and I came home to a very wet tank!! :O The accuracy seems very good as I have 3 other humidity sensors in the tank and the read almost exactly what this device reads. I only use it to turn on and off the humidifier, and I do not have a dehumidifier device attached. It works great. I expect that this device will cause the life of my humidifier to be significantly less because it is turning on and off, BUT this is expected with electronics. The more you turn on and off things, the less life they have. None the less, my snakes health is most important so I love this so I know her humidity is perfect. I will update if the product dies but so far it is running great!

Hygrometer might be off would have given it 5 stars otherwise but when I compared it to 4 other hygrometers it was off by at least 5% minimum in some cases higher while 3 of my hygrometers were within 3% tolerance of each other constantly sooo idk however you can calibrate it so all good

If you are dealing with a situation with high humidity, this unit will without fail alarm and turn off your dehumidifier / fan, making it mostly useless. You cannot set the unit to not alarm, so you will have to listen to it blearing, knowing that you now have to manually have to get power to your dehumidifier / fan. You can set the calibration down by a max of -10%, and then set your dehumidify set point down a corresponding -10%, but amazingly it will STILL alarm at high humidity and shut off your dehumidifier / fan. Amazingly disappointing.

This works like a charm, a little difficult to figure out at first but rereading the instructions helps!

I have never been one to rely on machinery to get the job done, but my oh my, this piece of device is revolutionary. Although it ONLY CONTROLS HUMIDITY, it has been a life saver for setting up microenvironments. Mine did not come super calibrated, but you can adjust the calibration by 10% in either direction and it seems to be pretty spot on. I definitely will be considering getting more InkBird products after noting how useful this equipment is.

bought this about 2 weeks ago. Pros: it works. cons: after a week and a half of use, it seems to randomly trip Er and alarm goes off. Sometimes it recovers, sometimes it doesnt. You also cant have a low humidity warning go off if the humidity is above 50%. So if you are trying to maintain a 85-95% range, you arent going to get an alert that your humidifier needs more water until it hits 50%.

I have bought several IHC-200 controllers for use in a greenhouse. They work well, except one had a problem with the display. I contacted customer service, got a response within 24 hours asking for a video to demonstrate the problem. I sent the video and the next day they said they would ship a replacement. The true test of a company is how they respond when something goes wrong, and Im satisfied with their response in my case.

Works like a champ once it’s programmed. Had to search for a video because the instructions are not idiot proof.
