Greater than one weekWe bought this to control the humidity in a room where we store our guitars. The ability to set a custom range allows us to adequately control the humidity without constantly cycling the humidifier for short durations. I really like the remote sensor - so the control unit can be out of view while the sensor is up near the instruments. I dont want to monitor humidity down on the floor where the switch is, or across the room where the humidifier sits. I only care what it is by the instruments. I never write reviews, but am really happy with this cost-effective unit.

> 3 dayMy dehumidifiers humidistat stopped working. So dehumidifier was either running all the time, or off. I looked into replacing what was needed and it didnt make sense... too much hassle. For less money, this did the trick, I have the humidifier set to high (dry) and set the controls on the Inkbird to where I wanted. Works fine. The controls arent very intuitive, and some things arent marked as clearly as they should be, but take your time and youll figure it out. The humidifier now holds humidity to right about where I want it.

> 3 dayI bought this device used it for about a year and the humidity sensor went bad. I reached out and they sent me a replacement sensor no questions. Talk about above and beyond! This device has been so useful in my mushroom growing. I used to run everything on timers and this made life so much easier. I’m a customer for life.

> 3 dayEasy to set up. Had to make sure the humidifier is not touch control, because if the controller switches it off, you have to make sure the humidifier automatically switches back on. Sounds obvious, but those touch control off/on humidifiers wont work well with this type of controller.

> 3 dayDefinitely a game changer! Used for legal medical grow tent environment control along with humidifier/exhaust fan & it beats hanging wet towels every couple hours. 3 stars on accuracy because im not sure. I also use a simple digital temp/humidity gauge along with sensor supplied with this controller & theres variances between the two but I take into account the differences between the 2 devices. Which one is more accurate? I make it work. When things are leveled out they are pretty close.

> 3 dayI bought the humidifier controller for my grow tent where I am growing gourmet mushrooms. It has an outlet (Work1) for the humidifier and one (Work2) for either an exhaust fan or a dehumidifier. However, when the humidity reached the cut off point, the fan wouldnt kick in to lower the humidity, which just kept climbing until it reached the limit (99%) and then the alarm went off. I contacted Inkbird and when I explained the problem—without hesitation—they said they would sent me a new one, which I got today. Good customer service is almost obsolete these days, so I really appreciate Inkbird! Thanks. I hope this one works ok.

> 3 dayNo real complaints, some of the abbreviations in the LED display could be clearer, I have to look up till I memorize but otherwise does the job. I have to say the sensor is very responsive, as soon as I open the door to the terrarium it immediately sense is a change in humidity and activates the humidifier connected to it

> 3 dayThe ink bird humidity controller is very accurate right out of the box. Make sure you have a dehumidifier or humidifier with auto restart at set the values on the humidifier or dehumidifier much lower or higher then your target so the inkbird can completely manage it.. the one drawback is it doesn’t have dual day / night independent settings for absolute RH control which comes in handy to dial in your indoor grow environment but you can find a happy-medium and keep your VPN relatively in check. For the price this is the best out there for the home hobbiest level grower..commercially you would want to run a full environment controller or a humidity controller that lets you set humidity levels for day/night, to achieve this with this controller you would need two controllers on timers and 2 different dehumidifiers....

> 3 dayWe started using this humidity controller in our snake’s tank in January 2022. After about five months of daily use, it started malfunctioning — continuing to power the connected humidifier even after it had detected shut-off humidity levels. The result was a tank full of fog at 90+% humidity (30% above target range). We were able to reset the device, but it malfunctioned again after several days. This cycle repeated a couple times, which became an obvious health hazard for our snake. We had no idea when it would stop working properly, and that increased the chance she would develop a respiratory infection. So we reached out to Inkbird support, and eventually they sent us a replacement. The replacement device worked properly for about the same length of time before malfunctioning in the same way. We reached out to Inkbird a second time, and they encouraged us to buy the product again, since the 1-year warranty had expired. All of this is just to say that manufacturing quality here is spotty at best, and you shouldn’t expect any one controller to last more than about 6 months. It works pretty well when it’s working, but the product is junk at its core.
