My dehumidifiers humidistat stopped working. So dehumidifier was either running all the time, or off. I looked into replacing what was needed and it didnt make sense... too much hassle. For less money, this did the trick, I have the humidifier set to high (dry) and set the controls on the Inkbird to where I wanted. Works fine. The controls arent very intuitive, and some things arent marked as clearly as they should be, but take your time and youll figure it out. The humidifier now holds humidity to right about where I want it.

Ive been using this to control an evaporative cooler that Im using to humidify a room. There have been no problems for more than a year and it is still accurate, within a few points when compared with readings from a psychrometer. So for, it seems to be much more reliable than several of their thermostats that failed within a few months.

We purchased 1 initially to control the humidity in a 5x5 grow tent that was consentally either at >98% or <20% no matter how we ran our humidifier, fans, and exhaust fan. Received the controller and immediately set it up. We live in a very dry climate and have no need to use a dehumidifier in this particular tent. Set work 1 (again not using work 2) to 58% with an 8% range. And just like magic we had 48 hours of perfect humidity. Decided to buy 2 more for our flower tent and drying tent. Set them up and calibrated 1 because it was a little off. Almost immediately started having problems with our drying tent. Couldnt get it keep the humidity above 25% (even the unit itself was showing low) when the humidifier was plugged into the controller, but if we run the humidifier directly into an outlet it would climb up approximately. The flowering tent isnt holding the settings/% we program. It goes right back to default of 50% with a 5% range. Luckily its default is close to what we need, but we shouldnt have to be forced to keep it that way. It completely defeats the purpose of having this all together. Now, on day 5 we wake up to or our original controller in our vegetative tent not functioning and running to humidifier all the time. It was 99% in there, even though the controller is still show our 58% with 8% range. I tried changing it down to 50% and 5% and the unit goes right back to showing 58% and 8%. So, now we have 3 controllers and not a single 1 is working as it should. I am going to replace these 3 as defective and try again with their replacements but I dont have much hope that they will do what theyre supposed to do. Will probably end up with 0/6 and will update after the replacements get here and are set up.

Does not work the best to measure humidity unless calibrated somewhat often & for sure not as user-friendly as advertised. It helps to watch youtube videos and third-party materials to figure out usage.

I use this to control the humidifier in my grow tent. It works perfectly for that application. You just need to make sure the sensor (hygrometer) is in the right spot. (and theres water in the humidifier, of course)

Is it working? I have no idea. The settings are so unintuitive and the manual online is HORRIBLE. I hope so!

This device has worked very well in keeping the relative humidity level constant in a room where I keep my guitars (acoustic and electric). There is a good YouTube video that made the setup process easy (enter IHC-200 in the YouTube search). Im using this controller with the AquaOasis 2.2L humidifier. With this device, I am keeping my relative humidity at 50% +/- 3%. In seasons where the natural humidity level is already high, I dont have to fill the humidifier tank for days. It has my enthusiastic recommendation.

The instruction manual is very hard to understand, obviously written by people for whom English is a second language. But, once you get past that, it works beautifully and seems very accurate. The display is very easy to read.

If you’re here because you saw willy myco setting up a 5x5 tent, I URGE you to join a cultivation group and get real advice on how to set up a grow tent before you waste $600 dollars and weeks of your time. The problem with this sensor is that the plastic casing of the sensor allows moisture to bead up on its surface and stay there, falsely giving you a reading for near 90% humidity or even above. It’s not an easy fix because the only thing I’ve found to try and correct this issue is wiping the sensor casing down with a dry, sterilized towel twice a day. That’s really tedious considering everything else about my setup is fully automated and controlled from my iPhone. The fact that the sensor controls when the fogger comes on or cuts off is really the only reason to try to figure out a way to jerry rig this product, but as is it’s not really functional.
