The ink bird humidity controller is very accurate right out of the box. Make sure you have a dehumidifier or humidifier with auto restart at set the values on the humidifier or dehumidifier much lower or higher then your target so the inkbird can completely manage it.. the one drawback is it doesn’t have dual day / night independent settings for absolute RH control which comes in handy to dial in your indoor grow environment but you can find a happy-medium and keep your VPN relatively in check. For the price this is the best out there for the home hobbiest level grower..commercially you would want to run a full environment controller or a humidity controller that lets you set humidity levels for day/night, to achieve this with this controller you would need two controllers on timers and 2 different dehumidifiers....

I have never been one to rely on machinery to get the job done, but my oh my, this piece of device is revolutionary. Although it ONLY CONTROLS HUMIDITY, it has been a life saver for setting up microenvironments. Mine did not come super calibrated, but you can adjust the calibration by 10% in either direction and it seems to be pretty spot on. I definitely will be considering getting more InkBird products after noting how useful this equipment is.

The instruction manual is very hard to understand, obviously written by people for whom English is a second language. But, once you get past that, it works beautifully and seems very accurate. The display is very easy to read.

Would be 5 stars if it did not present the “Err” issue the first2 weeks of use. Fortunately an amazing buyer here (thank you) found out that it is the prone being a little bit loose. Once I removed the cap and shakes the sensor and tighten it up, I never had this issue again in 2 months and counting.

As stated is decent, need to calibrate initially, do not rely on it being remotely close. And check calibration every couple months as it does drift out of calibration.

Update: I had some problems with the sensor accuracy. Inkbird sent out a new sensor, which was an easy switch out and the customer service was EXCELLENT! THANK YOU Cassie!!! So most of the negative reviews complain about the alarm. I bought this for mycology which requires high humidity levels. The alarm was driving me nuts until I simply moved the sensor higher up near the top of the fruiting chamber. I also calibrated the the sensor on the humidifier down by a few degrees. Its been good since moving the sensor. It has been very challenging trying to dial in humidity levels but that isnt the fault of Inkbird. In fact, this humidistat made it possible.

I have bought several IHC-200 controllers for use in a greenhouse. They work well, except one had a problem with the display. I contacted customer service, got a response within 24 hours asking for a video to demonstrate the problem. I sent the video and the next day they said they would ship a replacement. The true test of a company is how they respond when something goes wrong, and Im satisfied with their response in my case.

Does anyone know how to switch from work2 to work 1? Im losing my mind trying to figure it out.

I bought this controller to use with a Honeywell wicking humidifier. My application is to maintain the humidity of a room where I keep my acoustic guitars. The target humidity range for guitars is pretty narrow (40-50%) and the humidity control on my Honeywell humidifier is not calibrated. This controller is really great, easy to use, and adds precision to an otherwise vague humidifier. In fact, you can also connect a dehumidifier to the other outlet and have even more control over your environment. I can now keep my guitars out of their cases on a stand, and the guitars all sound amazing now (with stable action and proper crowing of the soundboard).
