> 3 dayI returned this item, because the humidifier that I bought to use with it, will not work with an external controller. So I would say, you would be better off if your humidifier was an analog one. This thing does turn the power on and off to a humidifier or a dehumidifier based on the RH% that you choose. It does work. Its just that my humidifier needs you to then choose the steam level and the RH% before it will start working. Bummer because this thing is cool. I will say that setting it up is a bit confusing. Mostly because it has so many capabilities. But the instructions are good. Once I figured all of that out, it was great.

> 3 dayNot the most obvious way to make settings, but once you get it, it makes sense. Works as advertised so far (I have 2 of these on different humidors and both work fine). Readings match separate humidity sensors closely.

> 3 dayThis device works very well for my purpose of controlling a dessicant dehumidifier. I use this dehumidifier in a large box I built to dry the soundboards for the harps I make. Previous to purchasing this controller I used a humidity/temperature controller that one would attach to a wall in your home or office. This previous controller was awful at gauging the relative humidity in the box or a small room. It required that I constantly keep checking its measured RH to that of a separate, small humidity/temperature measuring device that seems to work very well and can be checked and adjusted fairly easily. This new humidity controller is designed very smartly and its measurements of RH seem to correspond very closely with the small measuring device, unlike the previous controller I used. Also very nice is the fact that I can now have this controller OUTSIDE of the box with the soundboard and dessicant dehumidifier. It has a short cable with an AC receptacle that the dehumidifier can be plugged into, but the actual humidity measuring device is attached to the controller via a fairly long cable. I have the humidity measuring device inside the box, and the AC cord for the dessicant dehumidifier comes out of the box to be plugged into the short cable off of this humidity controller. So I can easily check the RH inside the box without having to open up the box (and thereby raise the RH level). And you can adjust the controller to automatically turn on when the RH reaches 1% to 5% above the desired RH level set on the controller. The only thing I do not like about this device is the god AWFUL english instructions! Can the people at the company in China who make this controller please hire someone who can write clear understandable english, PLEASE!! You will eventually make sense of their nearly non-sensical instructions, but it does take awhile. Just so you know, their differential RH level means how far above the target RH the actual RH will get before the device turns on. You can set this differential RH level for 1% to 5% over the target RH level.

> 3 dayFor years Ive been disgruntled at purchased de-humidifiers and their lousy humidity control. The sensors in these products are sloppy at best and often fail over time. The key to this controllers effectiveness is the very accurate sensor itself, the rest is just common sense digital control. The available options and settings for controlling the dehumidifier are top shelf! This also works with humidifiers so am looking forward to doing some testing this winter. I FINALLY know exactly what the humidity level is in my basement and rest assured my power consumption to maintain my desired humidity is minimized. (you can even calibrate this controller if you have a known good dry bulb kit or similar) Yes, the set-up is somewhat confusing, but if you have a basic understanding of humidity and hysteresis settings, its a breeze, and easily adjustable at any time you desire. For the price, this is an amazing control, and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting better humidity control in any environment. Ive had it running for a month now 24/7 with no problems.

> 3 dayI keep an acoustic instrument room humidified with an industrial humidifier plumbed in. This was an excellent solution to having the fan in the humidifier run all the time. Great product ! Wish you could run another appliance off of it at the same time

> 3 dayIs it working? I have no idea. The settings are so unintuitive and the manual online is HORRIBLE. I hope so!

> 3 dayI have bought several IHC-200 controllers for use in a greenhouse. They work well, except one had a problem with the display. I contacted customer service, got a response within 24 hours asking for a video to demonstrate the problem. I sent the video and the next day they said they would ship a replacement. The true test of a company is how they respond when something goes wrong, and Im satisfied with their response in my case.

> 3 dayI use this in my greenhouse. The placement is going to be moved for the second one I buy. The first one locked up the sprayer valve when it got wet.

> 3 dayI love my humidity controller. It works perfectly for maintaining the perfect humidity in my terrarium. I’ve tested it against other Hygrometers, and it’s pretty accurate, plus you can tune it. Recently used it to run a room humidifier, to increase the humidity in the bedroom at night. The possibilities are endless! I wish it had some smart integration, I would like to see a historical graph over time. Also, disabling the Alarm for high or low Humidity would be nice as well.
