> 3 dayThis humidity controller is OK when it functions as intended. Programming is relatively easy and it seems consistent. However after a few weeks I started getting an ER- code. The device emits a loud tone when this happens and ceases to function. After inspecting the device I found nothing amiss with the setup. After an hour or so the unit clicked back on and resumed normal function. This pattern continued and increased in regularity resulting in semi-regular humidity dips and as a result the plants suffered greatly. This behavior became more and more regular as use of the device continued. Eventually the ER- would not clear and the device was removed from use. Upon further inspection and disassembly of the sensor whip it appears as though one of the leads was not seated all of the way into the connector, resulting a short and the ER code. After reseating the lead the device was tested and functioned per normal. That sensor whip contains a strain reduction loop which the sensor cable wraps around prior to reaching the sensor. While this is a nice feature... it results in the leads being almost taught within the sensor enclosure and likely was the root of the failure I experienced.

> 3 dayYou can make it work as long as you want to maintain a very narrow humidity range. For instance, when the humidity is maintained at 50% +/- 5%, you can get the device to read fairly accurately by using the calibration function and adjusting for the difference between actual humidity and the humidity that the probe detects. But when you want to maintain a humidity of 65% +/- 5%, you have to go through the calibration process again because the probe is not linier. It is way off. I will contact the company and update this review later. Ive had this device for about a week now and I contacted Amazon for assistance. A day later I received an email from the manufacturer asking for details about the lack of accuracy and linearity. They gave me instructions that allowed me to clear the internal settings and then reload the settings, by pressing the buttons in a special sequence while unplugging the device. It worked wonders and the device is working fine. Great support from the manufacturer and Amazon.

> 3 dayHaving this and a good humidifier and de-humidifier are an absolute key to consistently high-yielding grows. Get one, it’s worth it.

> 3 dayIf you are dealing with a situation with high humidity, this unit will without fail alarm and turn off your dehumidifier / fan, making it mostly useless. You cannot set the unit to not alarm, so you will have to listen to it blearing, knowing that you now have to manually have to get power to your dehumidifier / fan. You can set the calibration down by a max of -10%, and then set your dehumidify set point down a corresponding -10%, but amazingly it will STILL alarm at high humidity and shut off your dehumidifier / fan. Amazingly disappointing.

> 3 dayWe started using this humidity controller in our snake’s tank in January 2022. After about five months of daily use, it started malfunctioning — continuing to power the connected humidifier even after it had detected shut-off humidity levels. The result was a tank full of fog at 90+% humidity (30% above target range). We were able to reset the device, but it malfunctioned again after several days. This cycle repeated a couple times, which became an obvious health hazard for our snake. We had no idea when it would stop working properly, and that increased the chance she would develop a respiratory infection. So we reached out to Inkbird support, and eventually they sent us a replacement. The replacement device worked properly for about the same length of time before malfunctioning in the same way. We reached out to Inkbird a second time, and they encouraged us to buy the product again, since the 1-year warranty had expired. All of this is just to say that manufacturing quality here is spotty at best, and you shouldn’t expect any one controller to last more than about 6 months. It works pretty well when it’s working, but the product is junk at its core.

Greater than one weekI have bought several IHC-200 controllers for use in a greenhouse. They work well, except one had a problem with the display. I contacted customer service, got a response within 24 hours asking for a video to demonstrate the problem. I sent the video and the next day they said they would ship a replacement. The true test of a company is how they respond when something goes wrong, and Im satisfied with their response in my case.

> 3 dayWe purchased 1 initially to control the humidity in a 5x5 grow tent that was consentally either at >98% or <20% no matter how we ran our humidifier, fans, and exhaust fan. Received the controller and immediately set it up. We live in a very dry climate and have no need to use a dehumidifier in this particular tent. Set work 1 (again not using work 2) to 58% with an 8% range. And just like magic we had 48 hours of perfect humidity. Decided to buy 2 more for our flower tent and drying tent. Set them up and calibrated 1 because it was a little off. Almost immediately started having problems with our drying tent. Couldnt get it keep the humidity above 25% (even the unit itself was showing low) when the humidifier was plugged into the controller, but if we run the humidifier directly into an outlet it would climb up approximately. The flowering tent isnt holding the settings/% we program. It goes right back to default of 50% with a 5% range. Luckily its default is close to what we need, but we shouldnt have to be forced to keep it that way. It completely defeats the purpose of having this all together. Now, on day 5 we wake up to or our original controller in our vegetative tent not functioning and running to humidifier all the time. It was 99% in there, even though the controller is still show our 58% with 8% range. I tried changing it down to 50% and 5% and the unit goes right back to showing 58% and 8%. So, now we have 3 controllers and not a single 1 is working as it should. I am going to replace these 3 as defective and try again with their replacements but I dont have much hope that they will do what theyre supposed to do. Will probably end up with 0/6 and will update after the replacements get here and are set up.

> 3 dayI was battling high humidity in my flower tent so I got this little gem. Super simple to operate, and it has controlled the humidity within 10% of the set point. If the plants are happy I’m happy, and the plants are happy.

> 3 dayWould be 5 stars if it did not present the “Err” issue the first2 weeks of use. Fortunately an amazing buyer here (thank you) found out that it is the prone being a little bit loose. Once I removed the cap and shakes the sensor and tighten it up, I never had this issue again in 2 months and counting.
