> 3 dayThe sensor’s micro plug interface is not protected from moisture or high humidity 75%+ The connection will oxidize eventually “5 months” and this will cause malfunction. It is to small even for most experienced electronics experts to solder directly and I can’t find replacements. The controller module portion is great and seems well made easy to program after you figure out what the poor translation is saying.

Greater than one weekUpdate: a couple days later and now it just beeps and says err and wont take any readings Out of box my unit is reading 75-85 humidity in my house. Tried a table salt calibration test and it was reading 86-90 (should be 75). Seems like it is atleast 15-20 percent off and fluctuates pretty wildy. Calibration only compensates up to 10 percent +/-. Looks like the actual sensor has a plug connector so it should be easy to be replace but I havnt been able to pry open the plastic casing that protects it. Contacted the amazon product support and they didnt understand the issue but offered to help me return it.

> 3 dayThis is inexpensive, works well, and is easy to setup. Im humidifying a guitar room with a new humidifier that doesnt have a humidity sensor, so I had been relying on my old humidistat on the shelf to help me manage the humidity level manually. That was aggravating work. But with this new controller, not only is life easier, but it has taught me that my old humidistat was highly inaccurate. Today, I need far less water than before and the humidity range isnt so wildly up and down.

Greater than one weekIf you’re here because you saw willy myco setting up a 5x5 tent, I URGE you to join a cultivation group and get real advice on how to set up a grow tent before you waste $600 dollars and weeks of your time. The problem with this sensor is that the plastic casing of the sensor allows moisture to bead up on its surface and stay there, falsely giving you a reading for near 90% humidity or even above. It’s not an easy fix because the only thing I’ve found to try and correct this issue is wiping the sensor casing down with a dry, sterilized towel twice a day. That’s really tedious considering everything else about my setup is fully automated and controlled from my iPhone. The fact that the sensor controls when the fogger comes on or cuts off is really the only reason to try to figure out a way to jerry rig this product, but as is it’s not really functional.

> 3 dayI bought this to cycle my console humidifier because the onboard humidistat failed. I used the calibration to roughly calibrate the unit. I keep gauges throughout the house so the actual set point is a reference setting but it is still real close in the end. Keeps the humidity within 1% to 2% in my application and environment. I purchased a second for my dehumidifier in the basement to be used in the summer months. If these continue to work without failure I will upgrade to 5 stars because they do work.

07-06-2025I have never been one to rely on machinery to get the job done, but my oh my, this piece of device is revolutionary. Although it ONLY CONTROLS HUMIDITY, it has been a life saver for setting up microenvironments. Mine did not come super calibrated, but you can adjust the calibration by 10% in either direction and it seems to be pretty spot on. I definitely will be considering getting more InkBird products after noting how useful this equipment is.

> 3 dayThis is a simple On/Off controller with adjustable hysteresis. Accurate readings and control require a minimum amount of air moving across the sensor. The Relative Humidity will always fluctuate around the set point with this type of controller ( Or any controller). With some tweaking of this controllers settings and the output level of the humidifier. I can get +- %5 RH. Good enough for most mushroom cultivation fruiting tents. It is a good value compared to a $200 PID controller that cannot do much better.
