Greater than one weekThe volt meter portion of the device is off by about seven volts for 120 volt power as compared to a calibrated volt meter. It works but accuracy is not good. I have an older unit with less features, but it is very accurate with the voltage reading.

> 3 dayI had several outlets to replace with Tamper Proof ones (grandchild visiting) and wanted a convenient way to make sure the outlets were shut off before working on them. The non-contact voltage tester works great for this, much better than my old one. There was a definite signal on live outlets and none on the shut off ones. This was at the low sensitivity setting. The electrical outlet tester I mainly bought to use in my RV to test the power at campgrounds before plugging in. It also worked great for testing my newly installed outlets to make sure I had wired everything correctly. The voltage meter on this will definitely come in handy at campgrounds. Overall, Im very happy with my purchase. The items arrived quickly with Prime shipping.

> 3 dayGood to have it, it just kind of bulky to have it with you all the time.

> 3 dayCan only be used with 120 volt outlets. Even though it will read 250 volts. Will not work with a 240 volt outlet. The blade direction only goes into a 15/20 amp 120 volt outlet. Easy to use.

> 3 dayNo wires to stick in (which may limit its functionality if you want to use to test wires instead of outlets). Does 3-prong outlets only; I havent tried it with an adapter on a two-prong outlet. Can test regular outlets and GFIC outlets. So easy to read. But more than that -- it test several things: -- gives you exact volts so you can make sure its not just powered but powered correctly -- tells you if the outlet is wired correctly (e.g. polarity, neutral, hot, ground, etc) While the ones with the wires ending in metal tips might have more universal testing ability, it feels (and I think is) so much safer just to plug this in without holding on to wires. This was perfect for my needs to check outlets in my old house!

> 3 dayIve used Woodhead for almost 3 decades having one that displays voltage and onscreen diagnostic as well as a traditional light scheme is wonderful. I truly enjoy it

> 3 dayThe little wand is precise enough to detect hot vs cold wires with about an inch and a half distance between the wires. Theres some bleed when the wires closer. If youre in a very tight space, youre better off with something a bit more exact. But for normal home am I about to do something dumb checking, its very good.

> 3 dayThis has become my new all in one tester. Quick and easy to use and allows me to confirm GFCI operation along with voltage at the outlet and confirms wiring issues. The price is right allowing pretty much anyone to own one especially us DIYers.

> 3 dayGreat product for the D Y i folks or maintenance people, i like that it has a GFI tester as well. It will take a little tine to get used to the red led lights. The main feature i believe is it shows the volts coming to the outlet. Again great product.
