I am giving it 3 stars because my toddler got excited when he saw it. We tried it right away. It has no splash guard so you have to be careful as no matter if you use it on the floor or on the toilet, pee flies out. As other buyers said, it is quite flimsy, so flimsy that it makes me a little nervous to have my 32 pounds toddler sit on it while on the big potty. Not sure if I got a bad one but it is extremely hard to lock it into position, either if you want to have it in a potty position or as an insert for the big potty. Overall I still have to see how it goes. We also tried it with a shopping bag, I thought that would have annoyed my toddler out but he was strangely fine with it. Will update in a few weeks if needed. Update: my son and myself both hate this potty. We used it on vacation mostly to sit on top of regular toilets, this potty is terrible for boys, even if he holds it down it sprays everywhere as it bounces off the border of the potty. Both sides are the same, no real splash guard. It is very flimsy and every time I put it on top of the toilet I am afraid it would give in, so I hold my son. Not happy with this potty at all. Switching it from floor potty to seat is extremely difficult especially since you need to lock it in when you use it on the floor. To lock it in I have to push it so hard that I get marks on my hands, to unlock it I have to pull so hard then the whole leg comes off each time ... Then to put it back is another struggle, if I push too hard goes into lick position, if you dont push enough doesnt even go in ... Maybe i got a bad one? I dont know, all I know is that I hate it and so does my son. Update of the update: we keep this in the car. Have to say it has saved us in odd situations when LO had to go. We just pulled up, set us his potty and let him go ... I am still worried when I put this potty on top of the regular toilet as it doesnt stick properly, its pretty wobbly and unstable. It has no handles for LO to hold himself and as previously mentioned, the splash guard is non existant. I still do not like this potty but with time it got easier to fold it and open it into position. Convenient for the car and on vacation, I guess.

The little one that I care for is quite petite so this is an especially good purchase for me for that reason. That means she will be able to use this for a lot longer than other children might. If your child has long legs then you can take the empty box from a case of soda and turn it upside-down under this seat on the floor. Ive thanked God for this potty seat! Its light weight so its easy to carry to the mall and everywhere in a small to medium sized tote bag. Not having to put this tiny girl on a big public (filthy) toilet is PRICELESS! I do struggle a bit trying to lock and unlock the legs into the right position but still…its worth the struggle. You have to push and pull pretty hard to get them into the right place and my arms and wrists arent that strong. I use regular food store bags in it along with three folded paper towels. I put it on the floor in the family rest rooms. Its all washable. This is a clever design and Im very glad to have this option for her. Even though shes almost four shes still using it. A good purchase! :-)

We just started using it at home this week because my daughter decided that shed prefer the big potty to her Baby Bjorn. Today was the first time we road tested it...a 40 min drive to Mom-mom & Pop-pops. It folded compactly, and set up easily at their house. But the best part was on the way home when my daughter needed to go potty and we were still 10mins from home. There was no waiting that last 10 mins so we pulled over, slipped a grocery bag over the handles, lay a diaper in the bottom of the bag, and let her sit in the back deck of the SUV. She thought it was great fun AND was able to maintain her accident-free streak in big girl underpants. (And I didnt have a car seat to clean!!) Its hard plastic but she doesnt seem to mind. I actually think that makes it easier to clean. I only gave it 4 stars because its is a little small for our standard size toilets, so it slips front to back. That makes it hard for her to climb up herself and she cant sit far enough back by herself to prevent extraneous splashing, so I think Ill look for another seat for everyday home use. However Im glad I got this for the road!!

I bought this to potty train my daughter before she turned two. Because I was able to be consistent even when we were away from home, she was daytime potty trained in 3 weeks. We liked this so much that we keep one in the car at all times, ready to go, for those really inconvenient Potty-potty! calls on the road. We travel with this one also. Imagine a full restroom in Disneyland and not having to wait for a stall because you have this. If I had to wait for a stall, we would have had a mess to clean up. I just put down some paper towels on the ground in a corner of the restroom, pull out the Potette, let her sit on it to do her thing. There was some mommy-envy from moms in line for a stall. They asked me where I got it. My 21month old son is nearly daytime potty trained after two weeks. I must say that this is best for 18-24month olds because of its height. For boys especially, one has to be very careful to aim downward or a stream of urine could easily arch up & out. Buy this and you will not regret it when your little one is in big kid underwear and you can be fearless about getting to the potty in time!

Great for travel! My toddler was able to sit on this on the side of the road to potty so we had no accidents in the car! (Child was away from the road, covered, and both parents were right beside the child). It was super convenient, easy to pack, and I loved the reassurance it gave my toddler. Very sturdy and easy to store!

Nice for public restrooms or taking the kiddo to friends houses to put over their toilet. But not great for on the go, the legs collapse immediately. It says it supports up to 50lbs. My kiddo is 40…and the bags don’t soak up much urine…

Love the versatility and durability. We purchased this when our first baby turned 1 and have used it to potty train all 4 of our kids. We have had it for 11years. We now use it to have on long car rides so we can stop anywhere for the kids to relieve themselves. The bags that come with it are good for 1 kid 1 time. With multiple kids we use a diaper in the bottom of a plastic bag works better for multiple kids at 1 stop. Then we dont have to change bags between each kid.

Since I bought it, Id mostly used it flattened out, as a potty seat to place on top of other toilet seats when not at home, rather than as a potty itself. Its not the smallest thing to have in the diaper bag, so I was starting to wonder if I really needed it anymore. Maybe it wasnt worth the bulk, since my daughter is starting to get better at sitting on regular toilet seats. But last weekend, I used it as a potty, and it worked perfectly. We were at the zoo, and for some reason, we found ourselves relatively far from any bathroom when my daughter announced she needed to go. We ran around looking for it, and when we finally found it, there was a line 15 people long, and I knew there was no way she was going to be able to wait. So, we ran over to a nearby tree where it was somewhat quiet, and set up the potty. It was easy to set up, it was just in time, and it wasnt messy at all. Im so glad I had it. I dont really understand some of the other reviews that complain about it collapsing. If you set it up properly, and you know it has been when you hear the click, it works without any fear of it collapsing.

I bought about 4 o 5 different portable toilets and this one was the winner. I wish the fron part was a little but higher, I think that would be an extra point if you have a boy, but really we havent had any issues. My 3 yr old and my 6 yr old daughter have used a few times with no issues. Easy to assemble, no extra strength required, less hassle, no pinched fingers while trying to fold it/unfold. Also, regular plastic bags, like the ones you get at the store work with it.

    Greater than one week

This thing is awesome! We keep it in the back of the car at all times. My daughter is very afraid of big potties and this is our solution. We buy the refill bags and its so convenient. I originally bought it for use on a trip and even brought it on the airplane. We still use it now. On outings I just ask her if she needs to go (usually while exiting or entering the car) and I open up the back hatch of my car, she hops in and goes. I keep a little pack of diaper wipes in the bag with it. Then before walking into a store (or the park) I just tie up the bag and toss it in the garbage on my way in. Nothing to clean up and I dont have to hunch over a public bathroom telling my daughter over and over to stop touching everything. Sometimes well bring it to parks near us that dont have bathrooms. Weve been using this for about 10 months now and are only on our second pack of refill packs. Totally worth it.
