> 3 dayWe’re in the car and she’s used this thing 3 times today within maybe 2 hours. I was inspired to immediately write a review if I hadn’t already. That’s just today. My daughter is 3.5 and she’s used this sooooo many times since we bought it over a year ago. It’s a life saver. I recommend it to everyone. I’ve used it before!!! I’m pregnant and you never know when you might not be able to find a restroom! Lol. Truly one of the best Amazon purchases I’ve ever made. We use plastic grocery bags and cheap diapers as replacement liners and they hold quite a bit. Just buy it. We’ve never had an accident in the car. Amazing product.

20-04-2025Great idea! So easy to use!! I was sceptical at first thinking it looked too simple but after trying it out its perfect for one offs. A few improvements I would make: - these would be great if they came in two sizes. This one is very small so my son has to really position himself to ensure the wee goes down into the potty - I had to lift the bag in front (which is a tip for others with boys having the same problem). A bigger one with bigger seat and higher legs would be terrific! My son is on the 98th percentile for height and weight so we struggle to find things that will work sometimes - the legs pull right out when clipping them in and out.. No biggy but a stopper of some kind would help so as to not have to try 2-3 times each time Tips for other buyers: The bags they supply are great but also easily DIY - just keep a few biodegrade bags in your car along with a roll of absorbent paper towels. Take a piece of paper towel, place it in the bottom of the biodegrable plastic bag and voila! - this is terrific for use in the back of an SUV. I like to avoid public toilets - something that was harder with a toliet trainer and this makes it possible! - pair this with training pants (I like the under the Nile organic cotton ones), a piddle pad (the bumble baby car seat protector works great), and a great setup at home (I love the potty stool with handles & Xpress trainer toilet seat) and you will have one confident, happy and fully toilet-learned toddler before you know it ;)

> 3 dayI dont tend to write many reviews but this potty seat is amazing. Ive succesfully potty trained my 16month old!! Never even thought that was possible, I bought this when he was 12months old, using it maybe 1-2 times a week and then within a months time he was pooping in the toilet in 2 months time he wa telling me when he had to go, and we would rush to the potty and hed go both pee and poop. Its great because I can bring it with me when I go somewhere and I can slip it on and off our toilet. I was never a fan of the childrens pottys that you have to dump their pee and poop into the toilet. Gross. This is the best way to go. Its secure and has easy grips on the side which Ive taught him to hold onto. I havent tried the bags that go with it yet but Ill be buying those now since he is becoming more and more vocal before soiling his diaper. I highly recommend this. Although every baby is different, this has worked for us!

> 3 dayAfter my daughter raved about this travel potty chair I bought one and now have two. I have also given them as gifts to new parents. This thing is so handy. No matter how much you encourage your kids or grandkids to go potty before you leave home they inevitably have to go again when you arrive in the parking lot, or just before you need to head home. Have learned my lesson and now keep this potty chair loaded with a clean bag at all times (Grandpa, I have to go NOW). Bags can be a little tricky to get on at first but once you get the hang of it, no sweat (they are made to stay put so you want them installed correctly). I love the little pad in the bottom that absorbs and holds liquids, it works great. We have never had a leak or spill and have used it for years. Dont forget to order extra bags!

> 3 dayWe potty trained our son when he was 19 months old. At that age when he said he had to go it meant he had to go NOW! We have 2 potette potties, one in each car and they go with us everywhere. He is now 2y10m old and still uses them. Many times we use the potette because he is too afraid of the loud sounds in pubic bathrooms due to his auditory defensiveness, which is part of his sensory modulation disorder. Weve used it in the back of our car every morning when he was first potty trained to go potty before he goes into school, because due to his disorder it took him a while every morning to adjust in his classroom and he would have an accident due to not being comfortable enough to go potty in the bathroom with a teacher. We used it in the car on long trips, so that we just had to pull over anywhere and he could go. We take it with us when we are shopping, in the park, etc. Even on a regular toilet seat in public I use it so he does not have to seat on the big seat for sanitary purposes and it helps him feel secure he will not fall into the toilet. Many times he requests to go on the small potty (potette) instead of the normal potty in public restrooms. I keep the potette potty and its bags in a small backpack that fits the potty just right with an extra set of undies and cloths just in case. Our son wears the small backpack on his back sometimes when we are out and about. This is one of our best purchases and definitely the best purchase in the potty training category!

> 3 dayAfter a week of potty training at home I knew I had to venture out and have my son sit on a public toilet. The potette fits perfectly on all the public toilets Ive tried it on but it does require some getting used to. My son just turned 2 and is small for his age but he fits fine on it but it took a few tries to get him seated properly so he doesnt pee all over the place. I thought I would use the seat as a travel potty for the car as well but I tried sitting my son on it as a toilet and he fell right through to the floor. Since he has been trained on a real toilet with a potty seat he just wasnt used to sitting so low to the ground with nothing to hold on to. While it has been a life saver in public places, it is a pain in the butt to carry around. We rarely use a stroller so its not an option to throw it in the basket underneath. And I was trying to get away from using a diaper bag anymore since my son is now potty trained. But this potty is just too large to fit in any purse that I own. So its back to carrying a diaper bag for now and hopefully I can teach my son to pee standing up soon :)

> 3 dayThis thing is amazing! An absolute must for potty training and life with toddlers. Very simple and easy to use. I’ve used this thing in so many different places, it stays on the big potty at home and we take it with us anytime we leave the house. Such a relief knowing my little one can basically go potty literally anywhere with this thing!!! My favorite is when she’s all strapped in after leaving the store when you hear “I have to go potty!!” Ok, we can just pull over right there and you can do your business! In a public restroom, I feel more comfortable having my little one sit on this on top of the toilet and I can sit on it too! It lays flat to sit on the toilet perfectly and folds up easily to store, you just have to pop it out of its holding position which is easy. Feels very secure when you use the legs to make a seat to put it on the ground. Comes with a nice plastic carrying bag.

> 3 dayThis is the BEST THING for potty training!! I wanted a little potty to keep my SUV since we were beginning potty training! This is the best thing ever wished I had something like this with my first two kids!! I bought a bumpkins wet bag and I keep the seat that folds up nicely and takes up little space. I also add the baggies. I also love that I am not having to take him into the public restrooms (with us being in a pandemic). It’s sturdy and I can fit it in my floorboard and add a bag. We have also used it flattened out on a big potty too!

> 3 dayWe like this potty for travel because it is compact and fits any toilet. We also have the Oxo travel potty, which is our top pick. We use the potters plus silicon liner, which fits both travel potties perfectly. The reason this is a runner up is because it is slightly lower to the ground and the locking mechanisms are a little more difficult to use. If you are going to use it as a travel potty, it is a little time consuming to try to pop the legs in and out and push into place. The oxo is a slight bit smoother. If you are using it mostly on the potty at home and don’t have to fold it often, then it is great.

> 3 dayI dont think they had this when my older kids were toddlers, so when I saw it while shopping for my youngest, I was excited. I love the flexibility of being able to use it on public toilet seats or as a stand-alone for those emergencies in the car when theres not a public toilet close enough. Despite my worries, Ive never had to use it as a stand-alone, but its much sturdier than the folder seat that I used with my older kids. And it doesnt slide around either. The only drawback is the size. It pretty much takes up the majority of space in my diaper bag, so sometimes I dont want to bring it around just for that reason. But that is the trade-off for getting a great, sturdy product. Update: Because a lot of public toilets are oval-shaped, this potty seat will sit further away from the front. That means children have their legs extended out in front of them on the rest of the toilet seat. For boys, that makes it uncomfortable to bend forward, so they are more likely pee against the front of the potty seat or possibly even up if you are not paying attention. For my three-year old, he has to remove one leg out of his pants, so that he can spread his legs far enough apart (hanging over the sides of the toilet instead of in front of him) to aim down. Its pretty inconvenient, especially if he has to go bad (and you know how little warning toddlers give you), so he doesnt want to use this seat anymore. For this reason, I will drop my rating by one start, but it would be no problem for little girls.
