> 3 dayOverall the Potette is a good concept, its great to have your kids own personal potty anywhere. There is definitely room for improvement here and this is what I feel needs improvement: 1. While it is VERY compact, I wouldnt mind it being a bit bigger if it meant having longer legs. Once set up as a stand alone potty, kids WILL have to squat and this can be an issue with some kids. 2. The potty hole is rather large! Which can be a problem because kids already have to squat so it would be nice to make it more comfortable by having room to sit their butts on. Here is what I like about it: 1. VERY compact, it was even more compact than I was expecting. 2. It is designed to be used with a liner, so it is mess free. No need to dump anything from the potty. Just tie the bag and properly dispose. 3. It comes with its own bag to keep it discreet and keeps any germs inside and away. Tips: 1. DONT buy the liners! The liners are literary a small plastic bag with some type of thin padding at the bottom. You might be better off carrying your own plastic baggies and throwing a folded.paper towel in there.

> 3 dayI am giving it 3 stars because my toddler got excited when he saw it. We tried it right away. It has no splash guard so you have to be careful as no matter if you use it on the floor or on the toilet, pee flies out. As other buyers said, it is quite flimsy, so flimsy that it makes me a little nervous to have my 32 pounds toddler sit on it while on the big potty. Not sure if I got a bad one but it is extremely hard to lock it into position, either if you want to have it in a potty position or as an insert for the big potty. Overall I still have to see how it goes. We also tried it with a shopping bag, I thought that would have annoyed my toddler out but he was strangely fine with it. Will update in a few weeks if needed. Update: my son and myself both hate this potty. We used it on vacation mostly to sit on top of regular toilets, this potty is terrible for boys, even if he holds it down it sprays everywhere as it bounces off the border of the potty. Both sides are the same, no real splash guard. It is very flimsy and every time I put it on top of the toilet I am afraid it would give in, so I hold my son. Not happy with this potty at all. Switching it from floor potty to seat is extremely difficult especially since you need to lock it in when you use it on the floor. To lock it in I have to push it so hard that I get marks on my hands, to unlock it I have to pull so hard then the whole leg comes off each time ... Then to put it back is another struggle, if I push too hard goes into lick position, if you dont push enough doesnt even go in ... Maybe i got a bad one? I dont know, all I know is that I hate it and so does my son. Update of the update: we keep this in the car. Have to say it has saved us in odd situations when LO had to go. We just pulled up, set us his potty and let him go ... I am still worried when I put this potty on top of the regular toilet as it doesnt stick properly, its pretty wobbly and unstable. It has no handles for LO to hold himself and as previously mentioned, the splash guard is non existant. I still do not like this potty but with time it got easier to fold it and open it into position. Convenient for the car and on vacation, I guess.

> 3 daySince I bought it, Id mostly used it flattened out, as a potty seat to place on top of other toilet seats when not at home, rather than as a potty itself. Its not the smallest thing to have in the diaper bag, so I was starting to wonder if I really needed it anymore. Maybe it wasnt worth the bulk, since my daughter is starting to get better at sitting on regular toilet seats. But last weekend, I used it as a potty, and it worked perfectly. We were at the zoo, and for some reason, we found ourselves relatively far from any bathroom when my daughter announced she needed to go. We ran around looking for it, and when we finally found it, there was a line 15 people long, and I knew there was no way she was going to be able to wait. So, we ran over to a nearby tree where it was somewhat quiet, and set up the potty. It was easy to set up, it was just in time, and it wasnt messy at all. Im so glad I had it. I dont really understand some of the other reviews that complain about it collapsing. If you set it up properly, and you know it has been when you hear the click, it works without any fear of it collapsing.

> 3 dayI absolutely love this thing and so is my 2.3 yo. We are potty training and I was wondering how the heck am I going to deal with long outside walks. TOday we went to the park and just got it out of the diaper bag, set it by a tree, got our business done, and went on with the plans. It is absolutely fantastic - stable and portable- and a life saver. I don’t need to worry about finding a public bathroom at all right now and that is mind blowing.

> 3 dayAnyone who has a child who says I have to potty 30 seconds before they are about to go will love this potty. I had this with my oldest and have no clue what possessed me to get rid of it. Now one of my younger ones always seems to have to go potty when we are going down the road. We learned real quick she doesnt give much notice so after cleaning the car seat a few times and replacing it, we got one of these again and so glad we have it. It has saved a lot of trouble and extra cleaning. It is really easy and simple to use. Our youngest are almost 4 years old and we just keep this tucking in our vehicle for emergencies because they do happen and this just makes life easier in those situations.

> 3 dayI purchased the Potette Plus before my son was actually potty trained to help in the training process and just to be ready. My son does prefer the Baby Bjorn Potty Chair at home as it is larger and more comfortable to sit on but the Potette Plus has worked out great for us when we are out and about because it is very compact and portable. We have only used it once on an actual toilet seat and that worked out okay (it was a little small for the size of the toilet seat making it a bit difficult) however we LOVE it when the legs are down and locked into place. My son has used it in the back of our car several times, on the floor of public restroom stalls, at relatives homes, etc. It has worked out great and helps my son feel secure in that he can touch the floor with his feet while using it. This is a great travel potty and highly recommend it for that use. Update on October 25, 2011 . . . Still LOVE this seat. In my first review I stated we only used it once on a toilet seat and thought it was a little small. Now that we have been using it for over 10 months we have used it many many times on public toilets and it works great. Anytime that my son uses a public toilet he uses this seat and it has been fabulous. We do still also use it with the legs in the down position as a stand alone seat for the times when he just has to go and we arent near a toilet and that still works great too. LOVE this seat. So affordable yet priceless for parents of toddlers.

> 3 dayThis seat can be used with the bags which on their own are wonderful or you can fold out the legs and use it as a seat on top of a regular toilet seat! It folds up small and only takes 5 seconds to pop out and set up. We don’t leave home without it. Easy clean up. Especially when you use the bags. It fits in the car perfectly when on the go and we need a fast potty break. Couldn’t love this product enough! It’s the 5th seat we bought and it actually works perfectly. We didn’t use it to potty train because I had no discovered it until after. Otherwise highly recommend.

20-11-2024We carry this with us in the car whenever we go out. It has a little plastic case that comes with it, but we use that to store the bags, and got a separate (washable) bag to carry the potty in. Its fantastic. Going out to eat and dont want to balance your toddler on the big toilet seats? Bring this along, lay it flat and your toddler is comfortable and protected from germs! On a road trip and dont want to risk a gas station restroom, or your toddler needs to go NOW and youre on a stretch of open road? No problem! You click the potette into the seat position (note that people complain about the seat collapsing, but it wont do that if you just click the legs into their place. You MUST click/lock it in to the upright or flat position, otherwise its not stable), put it in the back of your wagon, or in the back seat on a relatively flat surface, or on the side of the road even, your toddler sits down and pees/poops, you tie up the bag and knot it (please dont litter - just store the bag in the back of your car, or the trunk until you can toss it in the garbage - if you knot the bag, you dont smell it), and boom, you are on your way! My daughter loves it - she prefers going on the potty in the car rather than going into an unfamiliar restroom, and on more than one occasion, its been a lifesaver pulling over by the side of the road for an emergency pit stop. Its all plastic and is easily wiped down by a disinfectant wipe, and takes up little room when stored flat. You can buy refill liners for about 50 cents a bag (I got a 30 pack from Wal-Mart for 40 cents a bag), which some might say is costly, but we only use them when we go out, so 30 should last us a long time. When we ran out of our initial supply that comes with the potty, I did use plastic grocery bags (make sure there are no holes in the bag!) and some left over absorbent pads from my pregnancy kit. You can save money by going this route, but you either have to carry around a bag of womens panty liners/pads and grocery bags, or do it up in advance and then fold them all flat so they are ready to go. That seems like a lot of work to me, so we just buy the pre-made ones from Kalencom. The only negative I can comment on about this potty is that its not ideal as your primary potty seat for potty training. I like that its all plastic for easy clean-up on the go, but we did end up buying a cushioned potty seat for at-home potty training. When your toddler is sitting for a long time on the potty, cushioning is nice, and our daughter found this seat too uncomfortable when sitting for long periods of time. However, now that she is fully potty trained, she could use this seat for everyday use at home just fine. Overall, I highly recommend the Potette and its definitely one of our best purchases for our toddler.

> 3 dayMy twins were out of diapers by 21 months old, and my youngest twin is on the petite side so having a portable seat was essential for our family. Twins are almost 3, and we were so pleasantly surprised with it we purchased 2. We recently went on a trip in the middle of potty training, so having 1 each in their own backpack was helpful because when they need to go, you have to act fast. And basically my husband and I would divide and conquer. About the product: we have used several types of bags (diaper bags, kids backpacks) and these are so portable, we have never had an issue of not being able to fit. These are very easy to clean. What I love best is the foldable wings. It’s versatile. Fits over any size toilet and if we are somewhere with no immediate bathroom access, just stand the wings down and use as a portable toilet. For the times where I needed to use it as a portable toilet on the floor, I did not utilize the bags or liners. My twin girls just peed, and these times were in parks or wooded areas. The product only came with a few liners and I want to save them for poop needs. But I have read, you can use any plastic bag to substitute. Since I have not used any bag, I can not comment on the how well the seat works with a bag. Now that my twins are almost 3 and can use a toilet without any riser at home and school, we still continue to this product in public settings because it’s more safe and sanitary. I don’t have to put them on the public toilet (with liners), and no need to worry about my smaller twin falling through the toilet.

> 3 dayWe’ve used this potty for 2 years and it has been a life saver. Many times we’ve been out at the park or on the road when little one needs to go. We use the bags with absorbent pads with this potty. Very easy to clean, we’ve sprayed it down or used wipes. We’ve also used it countless times in public restrooms to go over the top of the toilet seat. We carry it in a regular sized backpack, in its own bag, with other diapering items. If you are considering purchasing this potty, it will very helpful.
