> 24 hourI am replacing the hardware on all my exterior doors and this Kwikset combo pack fit in with the other hardware throughout my house. I like the lever handles because they are easier to open when the arthritis in my hands flare up. The deadbolt combo set features a keyed lock and a deadbolt and seems very secure but a feature that I like very much about this set is the Smartkey feature which easily allows all my new exterior door locks to be keyed on the same key; I dont have to have 3 different keys for each of my exterior doors. I like these locks very much

> 24 hourI already had another of these combo deadbolt/locking lever on my home, so when I needed to replace the ones on my garage, I went with the same model for a unified look. My previous install didnt need the lever or lock cylinder switched around so I hadnt needed to do that before. On this install though, I had to swap the levers to get the correct one on the outside. Its super simple to do with the included Allen wrench, remove both handles, and just use on the other side. Easy. But then it was bothering me that the cylinder for the key was upside down. I know this is a matter of preference for some, but considering that the deadbolt cylinder is what I consider correct, with the teeth of the key pointing up when you insert it, and now the lever cylinder was the other way, I had to figure out how to flip it. There are instructions online for flipping it for Kwikset knobs, but make sure to ignore those! The instructions for a lever handset is totally different and, as it turns out, super easy to do. You simply remove the outside handle (use the Allen wrench - reminder, you can only do this when the lever is unlocked; if its locked, it blocks the wrench from being inserted to reach the set screw). Theres a C clip holding the cylinder in place which you can easily pop off with a small screwdriver. Then you simply remove the cylinder, rotate 180 degrees, re-insert, and push the C clip back in place. Re-attach the lever and youre done. Thats so much easier than the process on a knob which involves taking the lever out entirely, removing the locking spindle, inserting a couple of screwdrivers to de-tension some spring clips, etc. With the lever you can do it all with the lever installed on the door. Which, of course, I didnt realize until after Id removed it and tried the knob method. :)

> 24 hourPurchased 3 Kwikset satin nickel lock sets, the Tustin, Dakota and Polo for our front, garage and rear doors. The Tustin easily installed on newly installed French doors leading to a screen porch. Lock set is attractive and appears well made. Lever was easy to reverse to fit my application. It is helpful to note you must remove and reverse the lock cylinder for a left swinging door. The best feature is the SmartKey technology. I was able to rekey 2 handle and deadbolt units in approximately 5 minutes using the Smartkey technology to allow one key to open all three doors, offering a large savings of locksmith costs. All in all a good value in locksets.

> 24 hourLoved it. Looks and Feels high end. More than meeting my expectations. Really took me by surprise as the quality is amazing. My previous lock came with the house and had to replace twice within 9 yrs of moderate use. Decided to go with this design so we can use old keys. Was able to program my old keys within seconds. Instructions were pretty clear and install shouldnt take more than 30 mins especially if you are replacing existing lock. Definitely recommend it.

> 24 hourI bought several sets of these to replace existing entry locks to match the interior door knobs i had switched out, and I did not want to change the existing key. Fortunately the existing key was compatible and setting the locks was as easy as following the instructions. I needed to drill out the bolt hole on one door a bit but otherwise it was an easy installation. As other reviews have noted, some if the interior working parts are plastic, so I will be seeing how they perform over time. For the $$$, Im a little disappointed in this construction. Also, one of the entry doors is exposed to the hot desert sun most of the day, and as other reviews have mentioned, Ill also be paying attention to how the finish survives over time.

> 24 hourNOTE: I am writing this review for all the different versions of this lock that I purchased and had to replace. So, please excuse me if you see it more than once. But, since I didnt know where folks would start, I figured it was best to include it in all places to be safe. It looks like a lot of people have had luck with this lock (though Im curious to know what people think or if they have had similar problems after owning it for a while). And, there are definitely some nice things about the lock: they look nice, come in several finishes, and the SmartKey idea seems like a good one. But, I had bad luck with mine, and if you read other Amazon reviews and things folks have written on various other web sites, youll see the problem I have had is not an isolated one. If you do decide to give this lock a try, be sure to at least read the negative reviews so youll have some idea what might happen (though it clearly doesnt happen to everyone). I have 5 doors to my house that require both handle and deadbolt locks (thats 10 locks total, including 4 of this set and on of this set

> 24 hourThe smartkey tool will only go in halfway. I followed the included instructions, read the 116 page online manual, watched instructional YouTube videos and I cant make the smartkey tool go in, so I cant rekey to a house master key.

> 24 hourOur door is a little hard to push open. This lever style digs into your hand if you need to push a little extra.
