Im doing a remodel and replacing all the outside doors, keying all of the new locks was very easy.

Nice look way easy to open doors. Had them deleted to be alike.

The smartkey tool will only go in halfway. I followed the included instructions, read the 116 page online manual, watched instructional YouTube videos and I cant make the smartkey tool go in, so I cant rekey to a house master key.

Just what we wanted! It’s perfect to add to our security door and it looks great. We were able to program it to match our old keys.

Great universal fitment and easy installation

Easy to install and everything is tight. Has been 2 months and no issues. I havent tried to rekey it.

Loved it. Looks and Feels high end. More than meeting my expectations. Really took me by surprise as the quality is amazing. My previous lock came with the house and had to replace twice within 9 yrs of moderate use. Decided to go with this design so we can use old keys. Was able to program my old keys within seconds. Instructions were pretty clear and install shouldnt take more than 30 mins especially if you are replacing existing lock. Definitely recommend it.

We bought a new house and wanted to change all the locks—we have FIVE exterior doors (all with deadbolts) and wanted the convenience of using ONE single key for all of them without calling a locksmith. We also wanted to change out old brass locks/knobs/levers with a more modern look. This was the PERFECT solution. First, I purchased an inexpensive but good quality set of 4 locking knobs with 4 deadbolts on Amazon—all keyed the same with a key compatible with Kwikset. I used those on the basement, balcony, and garage doors (with one extra left over). Then, I purchased a Smartkey handle-set with matching deadbolt for the front door and keyed that to match the 4 set combo. Then, I purchased this Smartkey set for the patio french door and also keyed that to match the 4 set combo and the front door. YAY! All doors in the entire house use ONE single key. The price for this deadbolt entry lever set on Amazon was an unbelievable $17 LESS EXPENSIVE than in our local big-box DIY store. It was very easy to install this, and very easy to key it. I simply followed the instructions in the package. It also works exactly the same as the Smartkey handle-set on our front door. Remember to keep the Smartkey pin in case you need to ever re-key the lock again. I think that that feature is VERY handy in case you ever feel a need to change your locks. I purchased for front security door. Installation was easy but tolerances are too tight. I cant unlock the door from the inside when its hot from afternoon sun shining on it. The metal actually expands.

I replaced ALL my exterior door fixtures. The original ones were just to old. Kwikset has the SmartKey process which allows me to keep my original keys, and just change these locks. It was a breeze, except for one of the three deadbolts. I thought I had done something wrong, but finally decided one female side of the deadbolt was threaded incorrectly. I called the 800 number, talked to a nice young gentleman, read him the product info he requested, and the NEXT day a FedEx package arrived with the tumbler unit to replace my defective unit. Cost me NOTHING except the phone call. Installed the new tumbler unit AND rekeyed it in LESS than five minutes. So, the product is great, not expensive. You can rekey everything yourself......saves more money. Finally, the tech support is top notch. If you dont buy these you are just plain silly.
