Our door is a little hard to push open. This lever style digs into your hand if you need to push a little extra.

Purchased 3 Kwikset satin nickel lock sets, the Tustin, Dakota and Polo for our front, garage and rear doors. The Tustin easily installed on newly installed French doors leading to a screen porch. Lock set is attractive and appears well made. Lever was easy to reverse to fit my application. It is helpful to note you must remove and reverse the lock cylinder for a left swinging door. The best feature is the SmartKey technology. I was able to rekey 2 handle and deadbolt units in approximately 5 minutes using the Smartkey technology to allow one key to open all three doors, offering a large savings of locksmith costs. All in all a good value in locksets.

Bought the Kwikset lever and bolt set to use on both entry doors to my house. The first install went a bit slow, as it was my first time installing a door knob/lever. Luckily, the instructions were clear enough that even an amateur such as myself was able to install it effectively. I did not have all the proper tools, so installation went even slower. For the second door, the process went much more quickly. With the right tools and the instructions, I was able to install the lever and bolt with no problems. Overall, its great, as you can use the same key for both locks. The same key can even be used for both the front door and back door. The locks are supposed to be pretty easily re-programmed if you lose your keys and need to get a new set. I havent had the need for that feature yet, but it seems like it would be handy if we were ever to lose our keys.

I already had another of these combo deadbolt/locking lever on my home, so when I needed to replace the ones on my garage, I went with the same model for a unified look. My previous install didnt need the lever or lock cylinder switched around so I hadnt needed to do that before. On this install though, I had to swap the levers to get the correct one on the outside. Its super simple to do with the included Allen wrench, remove both handles, and just use on the other side. Easy. But then it was bothering me that the cylinder for the key was upside down. I know this is a matter of preference for some, but considering that the deadbolt cylinder is what I consider correct, with the teeth of the key pointing up when you insert it, and now the lever cylinder was the other way, I had to figure out how to flip it. There are instructions online for flipping it for Kwikset knobs, but make sure to ignore those! The instructions for a lever handset is totally different and, as it turns out, super easy to do. You simply remove the outside handle (use the Allen wrench - reminder, you can only do this when the lever is unlocked; if its locked, it blocks the wrench from being inserted to reach the set screw). Theres a C clip holding the cylinder in place which you can easily pop off with a small screwdriver. Then you simply remove the cylinder, rotate 180 degrees, re-insert, and push the C clip back in place. Re-attach the lever and youre done. Thats so much easier than the process on a knob which involves taking the lever out entirely, removing the locking spindle, inserting a couple of screwdrivers to de-tension some spring clips, etc. With the lever you can do it all with the lever installed on the door. Which, of course, I didnt realize until after Id removed it and tried the knob method. :)

Although the one I bought had to be replaced it was easy to program the key to my house. Well built worth the buy.

this doorknob looks great and was very easy to install. the brushed nickel is really classic and modern at the same time. I also love being able to change the lock to match the key I already have for the other doors on my house. its very easy to do and keeps my key ring from getting too full :)

The Smart Key is great, I can still use my 8 year old key, but the instructions on how to use the tool are a little vague. There is an easier to understand video on the internet, but, overall, the door locking handle is very nice.

Took less than 20 minutes to install two sets. The best part is being able to reuse the old keys from the previous lock that works for the rest of the house.
