Perfect Door Lock Set. Easy to install. Just remember on these type of locks tightening the set screw in removes the door handle and loosening tightens it! Youll have a hard time taking handle off if you are use to the old style which is just the opposite.

NOTE: I am writing this review for all the different versions of this lock that I purchased and had to replace. So, please excuse me if you see it more than once. But, since I didnt know where folks would start, I figured it was best to include it in all places to be safe. It looks like a lot of people have had luck with this lock (though Im curious to know what people think or if they have had similar problems after owning it for a while). And, there are definitely some nice things about the lock: they look nice, come in several finishes, and the SmartKey idea seems like a good one. But, I had bad luck with mine, and if you read other Amazon reviews and things folks have written on various other web sites, youll see the problem I have had is not an isolated one. If you do decide to give this lock a try, be sure to at least read the negative reviews so youll have some idea what might happen (though it clearly doesnt happen to everyone). I have 5 doors to my house that require both handle and deadbolt locks (thats 10 locks total, including 4 of this set and on of this set

If you havent used these yet .... START NOW! Everything comes in the package and the Smart Key is truly the besy thing sonce sliced bread. No more yrying yo match codes or calling a locksmith. Reprogrammed 6 locks & deadbolts to one key in aprox. 3 minutes ... seriously, I was impressed. And if you dont want someone upi have a key to get in, you can re-program them again to another key in a few minutes ... no more changing locks, change the Smart Key!

I purchased these as part of a complete replacement of the 25 year old brass hardware in my house. Install is quick and easy. The levers are reversible. They weigh about 20% less than the old units I pulled off, but they feel sturdy enough They look great, and work smooth. I dont know if theyll hold up for another 25 years. The SmartKey feature is really nice. I have that on some rental property and rekeying takes only a few minutes. The advantage here was that I ordered three units, and didnt have to worry about them being keyed alike. In fact, I got three random key patterns, all usable with the SmartKey system, saving even more money, and making my life simpler. Oh, and they are supposed to be bumping resistant. Another good thing.

Had to replace my door lockset, when it became stuck in the locked position. Received this replacement. Took 15 minutes to install. Works smoothly.

This is my third time buying Kwikset locks. They are easy to install and very secure. It took me roughly an hour to get these installed and thats with having to redrill the holes in my door and doorjamb. Super easy to change the key to match the key that unlocks the rest of my house.

Our door is a little hard to push open. This lever style digs into your hand if you need to push a little extra.

I ordered this set through Amazon Warehouse. The plastic packaging was a little damaged but the set looked fine. It went in o.k. but I could not get the key to work in the lower lock. I called Kwikset and they sent out a new cylinder. It took a few additional minutes to install it and then I was good to go. It was installed almost a year ago and I have never had a problem with it. I like the levers better than the round knobs and the units feel pretty sturdy. I havent tried to use the SmartKey function so cannot comment on it.

Looks great and very simple to install. The directions are clear and concise. The SmartKey function is wonderful, it allows you to re-key the locks with an existing key, which is great if you want to keep your old key or you want it to match other locks in your house. I will say the deadbolt was very tricky to get right with the SmartKey. I happen to have a reset tool for Smartkey locks so I was able to fix it when it didnt program right, but if you dont have one of those or dont want to buy one, be very very careful with the deadbolt when you use the SmartKey function. I love the look of these, the Satin Nickel finish is much classier looking than the standard silver knob the came with my house. To get it facing the right way, the handle at to be flipped, which means the lock is upside down. Not a major issue, but keep that in mind if that aesthetically will bother you. They have a great heft to them. All in all, Im a big fan, but again be careful using the SmarKey function on the deadbolt and make sure you get it right!
