> 3 dayI ordered this humidifier for my many houseplants upon the recommendation of a master gardener on Instagram. Its quiet and I like the different control options. Love that I can direct mist in two different directions. I could have sworn that I read its filled from the top and not the bottom. I was wrong, it has to be turned upside down to fill it with water. Thats what I hated about the smaller Levoit humidifier I was using before. It can be difficult to line everything up to fit the top back onto the bottom. I dont understand why the designers didnt change this feature. I am happy for my plants.

> 3 dayI have a wood stove, so dry air is a challenge, and Ive had about 10 different humidifiers in the past several years, so Im something of an expert, I guess. Ive tried Vicks, Bionaire, Homedic, and some more expensive units. But Ive had this for almost a month now, and I think my search is finally over... this unit has the highest output of any of the steam or cool mist units Ive tried. Its really very good, in all aspects, and I havent had any of the issues others have mentioned... it simply works, its quiet, and cleaning isnt hard at all. The controls and the amount of precise control you have over the output is excellent, and the humidistat seems to be very accurate. When its out of water it stops every time, and when you refill you dont have to reset all your settings... it holds them until you manually turn the unit off. I also like how small it is, and its very easy to move it to wherever you want it. Refilling is easy, it has jsut the right amount of capacity so its not too heavy to refill (I think its 1.5 gal) and the directional spouts work very well. Ive been extra careful with the tank after reading of some other peoples problems with cracks, and its been fine so far. Of course, with a wood stove, you need a LOT of humidity replacement. This Levoit can raise the humidity about 5-10%, but bear in mind Im using this in a fairly large area, 800 sq ft, which is almost twice the recommended room size for this unit... so technically this unit shouldnt be big enough. But I just put it near our seating area and it makes a big difference... I was surprised at how much more humid the area feels. I tried it in the master bedroom and it blew the Vicks unit away, and got it to 50% pretty quickly. With the wood stove going, none of my steam humidifiers could even move my humidity needle 1%. And out of all the ones Ive tried, only my huge evaporitive whole house humidifier has more output than this one... but while that beast can raise my humidity about 15-20% only when on the highest setting, its such a pain to keep clean, you need to add chemicals which I dont feel is very safe, and its really loud... so loud we didnt use it much. I cant really think of any negatives at all... its really a great unit. I guess if I could get 2 for the price of one it would be better, but its eel worth the money IMO. BTW, my suggestion is to stay away from cool mist... in fact I will never get a cool mist unit again. Even using 100% pure H2O (distilled) from my reverse osmosis system, it still makes a white dust, and the chemicals I tried only reduced the amount of dust, but didnt eliminate it. Theyre also really hard to keep clean, and bacteria is a real problem. Plus, who wants to add chemicals to the air you breath? Check it out... I dont think youll be disappointed. EDIT: Ive had it almost 2 years now, and the heat element stopped working for the warm mist. Granted, I use it daily all winter long, but in this day and age a heat element should last years. I simply wrote to Levoit, explained the problem, verified my receipt and all that, and theyre sending me a new one. No hassles, no cost. Thats the way it should be... great company that stands behind their products! How rare these days.

> 3 dayIn-built hygrometer is woeful. I have two different hygrometers, one is +/- 5% accuracy and the other is +/- 1% accuracy, both of which are usually within 2-3% reading of each other. The Levoit’s in-built hygrometer reading is woefully inaccurate: when the unit is on, it fluctuates wildly in a +/- 10% band around the reading of my two hygrometers; when off, it is always a solid 10% or more below. Worse, the (incorrect) reading can go from 40% to 20% the moment you turn off the unit—doesn’t make sense at all. Because of this inaccuracy, while the auto function is nice in theory, it is actually useless in practice because the unit automatically turns off and on based on faulty readings and not based on the actual humidity. Also, the minimum target humidity is 40%, which can hardly be reached on a dry winter day, so “auto” is effectively “always on”. Cool mist is ineffective. I have two hygrometers to check it. Warm mist is ok. Maximum warm mist is the setting I’ve been using. I can see the humidity budge by maybe about 3-4% in my 300 sq ft space, better than nothing. However, for the amount of logistics around getting distilled water for the unit, it’s not effective enough for me to justify continuing to use this unit.

> 3 dayWe liked this so much, we got 2. One for each of my kids’ bedroom. Holds enough water so that we don’t have to change it every night.

> 3 dayI dont like leaving reviews until Ive had a chance to break in a product. Well sure enough as much as I love the list and quietness of this product as well as smartphone integration the warm mist is now dead feature. Guess I need to get it exchanged now as I planned on buying a second unit as well. Ill be calling on Monday after speaking to Amazon. 5/30/23 - Unit replaced under warranty. Lets hope this one lasts longer than 3 months. Customer service was great in handleing my issue.

Greater than one weekI have a regular cold mist humidifier and it doesn’t work as well as this one. When I use just a regular cold mist humidifier I end up with a bad cough and sinus congestion. But this model of levoit humidifier I have an option for warm mist and it comes with two different types of filters for the water. I have always used distilled water for this humidifier and with the two filters it’s amazing. It can raise the humidity level within a few minutes on the low setting. It also barely makes any noise besides on the highest temperature (warm mist only). Cleaning the product is also easy since most of the parts can be removed and dried. The app feature is also a plus.

Greater than one weekLots to like about this humidifier but, there are a couple of minor things that could be improved in the next design. As others have said, filling the container is not nearly as simple as it could be with a better design. The container would be easier to clean if the fill hole was larger. The sleep mode works but, when turned back on, it doesnt seem to revert to its original setting. A longer cord would be helpful. The set humidity level doesnt seem to work consistently. Overall a great product; very quiet, well built, so far operates very smoothly. I would highly recommend it.

> 3 dayThough I do not feel aroma oils, all the product design, UX/UI design, app connectivity, and functionality are awesome!!!! I’ve struggled with washing humidifiers and refilling waters in them, but I like this top-fill and easy to maintenance humidifier!!!
